Lake Placid Home
We had a great weekend here! The place is very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. An added bonus is that it’s so close to town, we could just walk:)
This Lake Placid home was perfect. It was so clean and comfortable. The location was great, being close to the village and in a quiet neighborhood. It had everything we needed.
This was a great location. The house was clean and quiet. We had a family of 5 (parents and 3 teens) and we had plenty of space to spread out comfortably. The property manager (Wayne) was very responsive throughout our stay. It is close to the main part of town and there is ample parking. We would definitely stay there again!
The property location was close to town very clean and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would differently stay here again. The property manager was quick to reply to our inquiries.
Our stay was amazing. Property was great, location was perfect, minutes from the main avenue, lake and restaurants. Could not have been happier with choosing this property. Will definitely look to return again next year. Property owner gets An A+ on check-in, communication, etc…
My family of six had a lovely three night stay. Close to town, groceries and restaurants. Quick drive to Whiteface. Excellent ski mountain and accommodation as expected. Very comfortable for our large family. Wayne was terrific with communication.
Just steps to downtown, a short ride to Whiteface and easy access to many nordic ski trails, this well-appointed condo is a perfect home for a family or two couples. The upstairs/downstairs provides privacy, and the living area is generous and comfy. Wayne was a most gracious host and we deeply appreciated the opportunity to have a stay in his home.

First time experience
The condo was very clean but I would suggest a few things. Lights by the bed for reading would have been nice.. The king size bed was so high, you almost needed a step ladder. They charged our credit card in full before the vacation. This was our first time using this service and we were amazed by all the fees involved which made the nightly cost a lot higher. Nice location. Learned a lot..

We stayed at this property in early February and really enjoyed our stay. The unit was seemingly brand new and sparkling clean. Check in process was easy - you download an app and at the assigned check in time, it's available to use to unlock the front door. We were only three, so it was ok - but not sure how this would work if you had more people coming and going since the app is connected to one phone only. Close to town - we could have walked, but it was really cold! We did walk one night to Lisa G's, took about 5 minutes to get there. Again, we ended up only being a party of 3 but there was plenty of room, especially in the basement unit which easily could have slept 5 or 6 people. Would highly recommend!
My family of 4 stayed at this property the week of July 8-15th. The townhouse is located in a very quiet neighborhood, which is close to downtown. The drive to Main Street only takes about 5 minutes. The beds were very comfortable and the window air conditioners did a great job keeping the house cool. The property has 2 dedicated parking spaces, which are located directly in front of the house, making it easy to unload and load your vehicle. There is an app you can download to lock and unlock the front door which was very convenient. This was our first visit to the area. We visited all of the Olympic venues, High Falls Gorge and Ausable Chasm. We also rented a pontoon boat to explore Lake Placid. The boat rental was a bit pricey, but a cool experience that everyone seemed to enjoy. The lakes, rivers, mountains and waterfalls in the area are breathtaking. If you visit the area, I highly recommend the following restaurants... Lisa G's, Wiseguys, Redenck Bistro, La Bella Ristorante and the Red Fox Restaurant.

We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the unit. There was an overwhelming stale, smoke-tinged odor as soon as we entered. The entire main level smelled like this. The kitchen table was sticky with visible soda ring marks, the chairs were all stained and dirty, there was hair all over the bathroom floor, and someone else’s dirty towels were in the washing machine. I notified the property manager, Wayne, about this, and initially he was helpful. He offered to send a cleaning crew that night, which I appreciated. However, I was traveling with my 75 year old mother who was exhausted from traveling, so I requested they come in the morning instead of that night. From there, everything went downhill. Wayne became defensive, accusatory, unprofessional, and quite frankly he made me feel uncomfortable. He more or less accused me of lying (even though I had pictures of all this) and said he took my complaints personally, which I found ironic since he admitted he hasn’t actually been to the unit himself in 4-5 months. In all my years if traveling and renting through Vrbo, I have never had an experience like this.
The two stars are for the location and spaciousness of the unit, however, that wouldn’t be enough for me to stay here again.

The townhouse was clean, quiet, and relaxing, and included more than the essentials.
The owner was responsive, informative, easy, and enjoyable to work with. The owner went above and beyond responsibilities and we are highly appreciative. We will rent this property from this owner again.
