La Casita del Abuelo is more than a typical house, beautiful Adobe house and green Quarry located in the north of the city 10 minutes from downtown in a suburb called San Felipe del Agua safe and quiet place.

Being here will let you fill the magic of colors, the ancient culture of Oaxaca with the lovely decoration of the house.

All the furniture, doors and windows are cedar wood inviting you to relax and rest healthily.

La Casita del Abuelo is wide 2 floors with 4 spacious bedrooms for two persons each, a spacious living and dining room for 6 persons, equipped kitchen with all (stove, refrigerator, oven, dishes for cooking), a clean and confortable bathroom with shower hot water all the time and a half bath.

Safe with an alarm inside the house, well illuminated at night your hosts live next house so you will always have privacy and be well attended as you deserve.

5 minutes from grocery stores and markets.

3.2 miles from downtown, safe walk by main avenue.

It has a beautiful cactus species garden to enjoy it in the evenings taking a good reading.

This large house was comfortable for a group of seven and our host, Jorge, was amazing throughout our stay offering recommendations, dropping off extras to make our stay comfortable, and even stopping by to wish us well upon departure. The casita is close to several good places to eat as well and we did a mix of walking or taking taxis to the Centro district. Highly recommend for a place out of the hub-bub of the main city.

We had an excellent stay. Our host helped us with transportation to an from the airport as well local grocery shopping and laundry. He had several great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. The home is quite spacious and comfortable, very clean and all things functioned correctly. We will be repeat guests in the future.

The host, Jorge, was very welcoming, gracious, friendly, and extremely helpful. He brought us to the airport twice to successfully find our lost luggage. He was essential to my brother and I, as we landed sick and in poor condition. Jorge took us to pharmacies to get us medicine, and grocery stores for food and supplies. He showed us many parts of the town, served as translator, and was invaluable to us for a great stay!La Casita del Abuelo is a very spacious 2-story home. It is beautifully furnished with Oaxacan art throughout. We especially liked the indoor plants, landscaped backyard, and the gas stove. Above all it, it was very clean, and came with fresh linens and towels. We would recommend La Casita del Abuelo without hesitation!

Wonderful stay

Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Casita del Abuelo. It’s a lovely house and was immaculate when we arrived. Jorge, the host, was very attentive and went above and beyond to welcome us and address our needs. The neighborhood is very pleasant and we were able to walk to a couple different breakfast spots in the morning. We mostly took taxis to and from the Centro but also found the bus to be quite convenient. All in all, we highly recommend La Casita del Abuelo.

Jorge’s place

We had a great stay at Jorges place. We stayed there for 4 nights with my family, brother in law and his friend. The house met all the expectations with plenty of room for everyone and basic amenities including coffee which is nice. Only about 15 minutes away from downtown Oaxaca by taxi in a safe and quiet neighborhood. We mainly used the house to rest up after being out and about. Jorge was extremely helpful and easy to get a hold of. He helped us with recommendations from where to eat, what places to go and even went out of his way to help us rent a car for a day. Without his help we probably would’ve missed the Guelaguetza help but with his guidance we were able to make it in even when my wife couldn’t get tickets prior to our arrival in Oaxaca. Can’t wait to go back!

Highly recommend!! Mr Guevara was extremely pleasant and helpful, he went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. He were prompt in responding to me at anytime. The best home we have ever rented!

This private walled 4 bedroom home with yard and gated parking area was spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated in the style of the state. I couldn't possibly say enough good about the home, but the main plus to this home was the personal care given by the owners next door. Whenever we needed something, they were there immediately to take care of it. Yet whenever we needed privacy, they seemed to know it. He was tour guide, driver, helper -- above and beyond any care we have received anywhere in the world. There are not words enough to describe the personalized attention we experienced. Before our arrival, he had investigated answers to all our questions. I would go to Oaxaca, just to stay in this home. I feel we have made life-long friends!

A wonderful place to stay
