The house was large, clean, and had great views from the windows and balconies. The base of the ski resorts was just a few miles away. There was plenty of space for us to all spread out. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Overall good experience. Lots of bedrooms for families.

New Year Stay
Had a wonderful time bringing in the new year at the cabin. Great view of the ski slopes and plenty of space for large family gatherings. Check-in information was provided the morning we departed which caused a bit of concern since VRBO implies information will be available earlier but everything worked out fine.
This was a nice and open space. Bedrooms were very spacious and cutely decorated. I wish the inside was a bit more updated, but it had everything we needed for the weekend. Property managers were great with communication as well!
The property is nice for a medium family gathering. Plenty of bedrooms which is a huge bonus! The community space isn’t large but the pool table provided us entertainment. The driveway is a bit intimidating but it wasn’t a problem for the vehicles. Overall it was clean and has a great view!
Very spacious place, plenty of room for multiple families! All the beds were comfy. The driveway was very easy to park, backing in is the best way. Lily was very accommodating & quick to respond! The hot tub never got hot, I think the guest before us turned it completely off so don’t do that if you stay here!
This property was only about 8 minutes away from Snow Summit. The kitchen was well stocked and had almost everything we needed during our stay. Lily communicated well with us and we had no issues during our stay. The kids really enjoyed the hot tub while the adults appreciated the nice surroundings. The driveway is quite steep and easy to miss. We found it much easier to back in with front wheel drive vehicles.
We loved the cabin. There were just a couple maintenance issues that kept me from giving it 5 stars. The master bedroom door was swollen to the point it could not close. The two side by side downstairs bedrooms each had window issues. The one on the left has a damaged screen so opening the window was not wise. The one on the right has a broken wand on the blinds making them impossible to open or close.
The house was cozy. The driveway was huge and could fit multiple vehicles. The beds were really uncomfortable and seemed old. The bed would hold the imprint when sat on. The master bedroom door didn’t close. There were no basic essential cleaning supplies provided to clean up the cabin. All of the rooms seemed to have different temperatures (some were freezing cold and some were super hot). The lighting was dark in the dining room area.
We had a wonderful stay. The home was comfortable and spacious for the 13 of us. Small issues with lighting in which property manager responded quickly and resolved right away. MB downstairs door did not shut completely but I’m sure it will be resolved soon. Pool table doubled as dining table, which was not too sturdy for drinks but we made it work. We very much enjoyed it as a pool table. The jacuzzi was nice. It did take overnight to heat to 104. Does lose heat while in use because of how cold it gets outside, but definitely used it everyday. The view from the main balcony was gorgeous! Some beds were more comfortable than others. One bedroom downstairs has a skylight, which is good for the early riser. Overall this place was very spacious, cozy and only a few minutes from everything. Great location! Kitchen was stocked with all the cookware and spices. The washer and dryer worked great. Plenty of towels. No pool towels though. I would bring pool towels next time for the jacuzzi. We would definitely book this place again.
Overall this house is ok. The beds are comfortable and rooms are a good size.
Areas that need improvement:
-the kitchen is very small and dated. Supplies are sparse. Only provided one kitchen towel. Thankfully 2 rolls of paper towels were available
-towels were limited. House can hold 13 people, but not enough towels for everyone. Would love to have more towels.
-the hot tub is very small and the jets just add bubbles to the water. But it was hot, so that’s a plus.
-the pool table doubles as the dining room table which did not work well for kids.
-very dark in main living area. Need more lights.
This property is a bit overpriced. We would not rent this house again as it wasn’t a good fit for kids and not a good value.
Came in to find the property was not cleaned. Found dead bugs, crumbs on the tables, dust on surfaces, taped curtain rods, and what seemed to be blood drops on bed sheet covers. When the property manager was informed, they offered to send cleaning crew but noted that we had to leave the property, which we were okay with but then they let us know the cleaning crew were not available. The property manager came in and swapped the bedsheet cover and cleaned the dead bugs and crumbs off, but the property was clearly not properly cleaned/sanitized so they offered to provide discount on the cleaning fee, though never did.
Additionally, hot tub was not working and they sent someone to fix it, not sure what he did but it was still not working.
I was not able to get in contact with the property manager after the initial check in, which was in person.
Overall, location was good, everything else was not.

We appreciate your feedback as we strive to make it a comfortable stay for all of our guests and have been doing so for over 7 years. We will be speaking with our cleaning staff to be sure that the property is always ready for guests. The staff did quickly remedy the situation and the spa service quickly responded. Thank you for your great feedback on the location of our cabin which has beautiful lake and ski slope views.
Prefect family getaway. Bathrooms were all updated! Pool table was perfect for entertainment but still part of the conversation. The deck views were my favorite. Spent lots of time out there. Would stay here again hands down.
The checkin process was a little slow as the in person checkin coordinator did not arrive on time but other than that, this location was a great stay and throughly enjoyed by our group. Very close drive to bear mountain and great views. 4.5/5.
The house is very spacious and is really nice. The house looks to be newly upgraded and has a nice cabin feel while also looking modern. The house is great for a quick family get a way and is very clean. We had a great time staying at this property! The view is amazing and you can see the slopes at night.
Big Bear was the perfect place to spend Thanksgiving and start the Holiday season. The Norwegian Nest accommodated our family well with plenty of room for everyone. The bedroom configuration was perfect for 3 generations and there was ample room to park our cars. The view from the deck was beautiful.
The house is wonderful. Great rooms, decent kitchen. Our stay was over the summer, looking for a central location for my family to come together. Close to the zoo, in a quiet neighborhood with a perfect view of the lake. We cooked together, played some board games, and enjoyed catching up seated out on the deck watching the view. Great place to bird watch, too!
Two bedrooms upstairs both have (queen?) space for 2 to sleep - the front facing has a mini balcony/deck and a trundle bed. The back facing has a private deck that is surrounded by beautiful oak trees, it's serene and lovely. Downstairs has 2 bedrooms close to a lovely bathroom, nearer the kitchen, and a larger 'master' bedroom which steps out onto the large deck. It has a larger bathroom that connects to a smaller bedroom.
I had read a review that mentioned backing in, and at first with someone outside the car directing, that ended up being the best - you have to stay to one side at the bottom of the driveway where it is more even, there's a bit of a drop off on the other side. I understand they have plans in the fall to improve the drive way Fall 2021, so this might not be so much of an issue in the future.
We stayed with elderly parents that were a little intimidated by the front stairs and by the steep driveway. However once inside, their room was off the deck and the space was wonderful. Kitchen was well used. Some odd features, the "dining room table" is actually a pool table with level insert and covered - place mats are handy to help make sure there are no big spills or anything. (You feel slightly short seated at something made for people to stand at, not sit at, but it worked and was big enough!)
We did not use the tv or hot tub, but we used deck (and that VIEW!) the coffee maker, toaster, cork screw, oven, stove, dishes/pans, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer. It was warm during our week, I might recommend bringing a small fan to help sleeping at night. Easy exercise each morning walking around the ups and downs of the roads. Our neighbors were quiet past 9:30pm, there's a hot tub on the next house down's deck, too, and if they use it it's easy to hear, but they did not use it late - it is definitely a neighborhood with people that live there year round, so we were polite neighbors and enjoyed the same in return.
We loved this space. My 2 siblings stayed in nearby cabins, and we met for dinners and lunches and made wonderful memories.
The living room area a bit small all the rooms are good size and deck is very spacious place to hang out! Driveway is a bit scary (uphill) especially if it snows...Kitchen has almost everything you need and dump is very close from house...very close to Lifts for snowboarding/skiing...House itself is definitely worth it...Property Manger Very Helpful!
