Your dream house is located on the peninsula Coquina Key in St. Petersburg, in the middle of a small and well kept residential area. The peninsula joins the continent in two places. The house is located on a 10000 sf surface, directly on a bay with a boat landing place. It has a living area of 2000 sf. The living surface consists of 3 bedrooms (all of them are equipped with queen and king size beds), 1 cot and 1 highchair, 2 bathrooms, 1 big exclusive kitchen with a dining corner, 1 dining room and 1 living room. In addition, there is a garden with tropical plants, banana tree, a big covered terrace, swimming pool and whirlpool (both of them can be heated), an outdoor shower, a central house radio system, 2 TV sets (cable TV with about 80 channels, German TV), 2 VCR, 1 with DVD, a portable compact stereo system with CD player, dish washer, washing machine, dryer, toaster, micro wave oven. The terrace and the pool are equipped with screens, for your protection against insects.

Distances to the beach: Our house is located on the island Coquina Key in St. Petersburg, and it is only a 15 minute drive away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the whole USA, namely the St. Pete Beach. This is a miles long beach, which offers all the beach related activities. At the same time, you can enjoy the silence, the relaxing atmosphere here, and the wonderful nature here. You can reach other beaches in St. Petersburg in only 5 minutes, and they are ideal for bathing and swimming as well. The beach of Tierra Verde (Fort Desoto Park) is also very interesting and wonderful, and you can reach it in only 10 minutes by car. Here you have the possibility to use covered barbecue places, so that you can enjoy an American barbecue. There are also sanitary facilities (showers, WC, changing rooms), all of which can be used for free.

Great home but watch out for red tide

This home was great for our family. It’s spacious and we appreciated all of the extras such as toys, extra towels, crib, high chair and stroller. It was clean on the surface but could have used a deep cleaning in some areas. Our biggest challenge is that the “red tide” was present, causing a horrific stench and dead fish outside for the last 4 days of our reservation. Because if this we left a day early but weren’t issued a refund so be aware of this - apparently it’s somewhat common. The pool was very nice but it’s not really heated too much as the owner keeps the main pool set at 79 degrees.

enjoyable two weeks

The house was very clean , with plenty of dishes, towels, and cooking utensils. We spent all of our time outside near the pool. The hot tub was great and very warm. The pool however never reached a good temperature so that we could swim. I believe the system is old and needs to be updated. The washer and dryer were new and we used them. We asked for beach chairs and the woman who we called that looked out for the home gave us hers and then bought new ones. The house is dated but clean. There is a convection oven which was not a bother for us as for two weeks I didn't want to cook but if it was longer it would have been an issue. The location is ok but you are very close to neighbors . I would not recommend this house for late-night entertaining. We were quiet as was the neighborhood. The brown living room chairs need to be replaced but the rest of the furniture was fine. All in all a pleasant stay.

Good location with Good View

The house was comfortable & laid out nicely. Our son & his family live near Lassing Park so the location was perfect for us. Our grandkids swam & kayaked every day, all day long. With this Covid situation, it was the perfect family staycation.

Wonderful stay

This home was a perfect get away! Three large bedrooms, large sized living room and kitchen (WARNING kitchen only has a stove top and a convection oven) wasn’t the easiest to use but we managed. The lanai was wonderful for having lunch and breakfast poolside. The pool was great. Very roomy and a very comfortable swimming g temperature. (Pool man never showed up so the pool was cloudy by day 5). Hot tub was also a great amenity as it was so very welcoming on tired muscles. The house is well equipped with everything from cable, WiFi, movies, books, games, pool toys, charcoal and propane grill, washer and dryer. Seriously everything you could need (well except for a pizza cutter). The backyard had a nice deck into the water where dolphins, manatees, manta rays and tons of fish and birds came to visit every day. So close it was surreal. The home has fishing poles for use and there are definitely large fish to be caught. This house was perfect and I would highly recommend it.

After my husband has discovered the benefits and beauty of Florida on numerous business trips, we have decided in 1992 to buy a house in St. Petersburg. Our choice fell on a little island called Coquina Key. This is a quiet residential area, but it is at all points of departure from St. Petersburg, very centrally located. Since then, we spend much time in our "little paradise". Even our children again spend happy holidays with their parents and their own children.
