Superb location; spacious, beautiful, and comfortable.

2 BDRM Railtown Suite has 1200 sqft of living area with wifi, cable TV, patio, coffee/tea bar, spacious lounge, full kitchen, gas fireplace, washer/dryer, and free parking as well.

The Railtown Suite is cozy warm with the gas fireplace in the winter and air conditioned in the summer months.

The keypad entry is convenient and easy to access your suite with the code we will give you.

A fenced stairway leads to your private entrance with a keyless entry. Continue around the corner to your private patio to enjoy a beautiful sunset nestled between the mountains.

The GRAND LOFT is another 2 bedroom suite that has the option of adjoining this one for larger groups, if available.

This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 30 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 14 to 29 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 14 days prior to check-in. Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.

I can’t say enough about the location. It is truly in the heart of everthing while being a peaceful oasis. The place had everything we needed plus some added bonuses (yummy bread). Host was very responsive and helpful. Would love to come and stay again.

Lovely Nelson stay

Amazing property. Beautifully furnished with perfect little touches. Clear directions and close to everything. The fresh bread was a brilliant touch, and was enjoyed after a long travel day! Will absolutely stay again!

Railtown!

We had a wonderful stay at the Railtown suite, definitely a home away from home. We were able to have family visits, share meals, enjoying time together in a comfortable homey atmosphere. Well stocked, walkable, clean, roomy….perfect. Thank you Chara!! Definitely recommended.

Super cute and close to town

The property is exactly as it is listed. Walk two blocks, and you are right in the heart of shopping and excellent restaurants. It was a great central location for hitting the ski hill as well. Chara had us set up with everything we needed and was responsive to questions. I will definitely be staying here again.

Fantastic apartment in awesome location

The apartment provided a delightfully comfortable and convenient start to our trip. It had everything we needed for our 4 night stay. It was beautifully appointed and such an easy short stroll to the main strip of Nelson. Chara was an excellent communicator. Would love to stay again and highly recommend.

This accomodation met all our needs and is open and airy, very clean with everything you will need for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect - very close to Baker Street and since it is near the railroad tracks, it's fun watching trains! Highly recommend!

Hockey tournament

This house was so close to everything. Just a short walk up the hill to restaurants and shopping! The house was also very clean. The town was amazing. We would definitely stay here again.

Tucked away slice of paradise

Stayed in the upper loft last year but the Railtowm suite is just as charming and so well appointed. Chara’s genuine hospitality and eye for style and amenities make for an amazing stay. Location is fantastic, walk everywhere, so no fuss with pay parking or trouble in even finding a spot near Baker St. You won’t even notice the train and they are fun to see up close.

Beautiful weekend

The suite exceeded expectations and was roomy, cute and well stocked. Trains were right outside the window but quiet and fun to see, they didn’t disrupt our sleep at all. Super close to trendy baker street and good restaurants and cute shops. Highly recommend.

Charming hidden gem

Loved our stay here! Cozy, comfortable and charming decor, with all necessities supplied. Before arriving, we were a bit worried about being so close to the train tracks, but it wasn’t an issue at all. A couple of trains went by while we were there but they are very slow moving and quiet. It was fun to see them up close. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

European Elegance meets Kootenay Charm

Gosh. I can’t say enough good things about Railtowne Lofts. By far our favourite place to stay. An extension of home with all the accouchements and then some. Beautifully presented, spotless and elegant. Perfectly located so you can walk anywhere in town. A place you will have on your favourites list for sure.

Geezers Skiing

Two retired guys up from Lower Canada playing along the Powder Highway while our knees and hips can still manage. The property is a little tricky to find, but the location is great! The views … Spectacular mountains across a rail yard. Super convenient to the restaurants and shops in downtown Nelson, and the apartment is well fitted out.

Great location!

Our group of 4 had a short 2 night stay. This central location allowed us to walk everywhere and explore Baker Street. Beds were comfortable and we had all amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Chara welcomed us by leaving a delicious fresh baked load of sourdough bread along with oil/vinegar. She was a clear and prompt communicator. This listing is just as pictured and roomier than expected.

My husband, Michael, and I love staying in Airbnb's around the world. We enjoy meeting new people and appreciate a great, comfy bed and a beautiful place to stay.

I love to keep my guests happy and spend lots of time decorating and upgrading details of my space. A good day for me might be painting the walls and buying new pillows or furniture, as well as connecting with people from all around.

I also love cooking a delicious meal, listening to Michael play guitar and spending time with family, friends and our little grandson. I enjoy writing and guests are welcome to take a copy of my book, "Loved."

Nelson has been a wonderful home for over 30 years. Baker Street is awesome with all its eclectic shops and fabulous restaurants. Living downtown, we walk to the movies, grab a special coffee or stroll down to the lake.

Hope you absolutely love your stay and can't wait to come again!

Why they chose this property

When we first walked into this property, it was an instant, "YES!" The ambiance is peaceful, cozy and yet so spacious. It's amazing to be right downtown and yet tucked away in a quiet nook, away from downtown noise. We love it.

What makes this property unique

Being able to walk anywhere is so freeing! The convenience of being so close to coffee shops, the lake, markets/shopping and even grocery stores cannot be overvalued. The views of the mountains and sunsets are beautiful. It's also fun to watch the small airplanes and occasional trains come by.
