Welcome to our spacious 4-bedroom farmhouse retreat, conveniently located near I-81 and just a short drive to Roanoke, Bedford, and Lynchburg.

Whether you're visiting family, exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains, or simply looking for a peaceful getaway, you'll find comfort, charm, and plenty of room to relax.

What's Included with Your Stay:

The Space:
This charming farmhouse combines French country style with cozy comfort. The home comfortably accommodates families and groups with:

Sleeps 11 Guests:
Two bedrooms feature king-size bed with twin (great for parents with toddlers)
One bedroom with a queen-size bed
Full Size bedroom
Couch in the living room for the 11th guest.
Pack 'n Play on request.

The living area is designed for gathering and making memories, featuring a large round game table stocked with board games. Each bedroom and the living room include Roku TVs (guests may log in using their own streaming accounts).

Outdoor Living

Take in beautiful mountain and Blue Ridge Parkway views from the spacious back deck. Enjoy outdoor dining with a table and umbrella or fire up the gas grill (gas provided).

Hot tub located on the deck seats 3-4 NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN!!! Please be SMART about Hot Tub use!

Fire Pit & Fireplace

Gather around the outdoor fire pit or enjoy the cozy indoor wood-burning fireplace during cooler months. The indoor fireplace is available for use beginning October 15 -May 1st.

Firewood is available for purchase at $25 per 3-day stay. For the protection of our property and local ecosystem, guests may not bring outside firewood due to the risk of transporting invasive insects and pests.

Pet Policy

One approved pet may stay at no additional charge. Please discuss your pet with us before booking, as reservations may be canceled if pet information is not disclosed in advance. We require crate photo and animals to be contained when not in the farmhouse/away from property.

Additional approved pets may be considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to a $99 fee per pet fee.

Lovely getaway

We enjoyed our stay so much! It’s a beautiful, comfortable and very clean home. The house is well equipped and the kids loved having new (to them) toys and games to play. We all loved seeing the cattle grazing outside. We went to disconnect a bit and did just that!

A perfect place for a girl's getaway!

Myself and 2 girlfriends spent 4 days here and loved every moment! It was quiet and peaceful...just what we were looking for. The house is very well equipped, so all we needed to bring was our food and wine....of course! We each had our own bedroom which were all comfortable and roomy. The host was most friendly and responded quickly when we needed something. Great place overall!

Family Reunion

This property is a beautiful peaceful place. We were able to relax and reconnect. The accommodations lacked for nothing. The backyard is fenced and definitely dog and toddler friendly. I hope we will get a chance to stay again in the future.

Wedding trek

Property was immaculate and cozy! Loved all the unique decorations and picture. A group of us drove up from the Virginia coast to attend a wedding in Peaks of Otter. In between festivities we enjoyed the awesome fire pit and inviting front porch. I wished we had been able to stay at least one more day to soak in the ambiance!

Farm life

This was the last stop of a week long road trip and it was perfect! Our dog had a blast in the fenced in yard and we all loved seeing the cows every morning. Beautiful home with thoughtful amenities. The kids felt like they were in a hotel with the bathrobes provided in each room.

No Cow-ards

Great place, easy reach for many sites, beautiful old farmhouse. My dog had a blast with the fenced yard and cows nearby. Every amenity you forgot—and some you didn’t think of. 5 stars isn’t enough. Put away your phone and enjoy the moment!

Incredible Stay

We travel all over the USA and this, by far, has been our absolute favorite stay. Everything from owner communication, to the property being in superior condition with cleanliness, stocked with everything you could possibly need, to the stocked coffee bar, fresh beef, incredible and peaceful atmosphere and views ~ I can’t say enough great things about this amazing place. We will 100% be back. We left feeling refreshed, revived, and relaxed. It is bar none ~ AMAZING!! You will love your stay here.

Amazing!

Before our arrival to the property the owners were very quick to respond to questions that were asked. On arrival check-in was very easy. The house was phenomenal the owners have not missed anything in this house right down to the small details. Each room in the house felt very comfy in the feeling of being home. The cleanliness of the house was superb. The property what's gorgeous peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be staying there again sooner than later.

Farmhouse Paradise!

This house is truly a gem. The decor is beautiful and all the rooms were so tastefully decorated. The bedrooms all had window AC units so we were all cool and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The living room was large and had plenty of comfy seating for 4-5 adults. We loved the fenced in yard for our fur babies. The host was very kind and accommodating. We highly recommend this home. You will not be disappointed!

Relaxing Stay in the Country

Our family enjoyed 4 nights at the Old Red Inn relaxing on the porch swing, listening to the screech owls at night, and enjoying the beautiful views of the mountains and cow pastures. The house is very clean, the beds comfortable, and the location is convenient to Bedford and the D-day Memorial as well as Jefferson’s Poplar Forest, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Ellisa was very responsive to our needs and even ordered a pound cake from a friend for our son’s 23rd birthday when I asked about getting one as a surprise. I hope we will be back to visit this house as well as the new house across the street once it is completed!

Nice two day stay in Montvale

We received no check-in or house instructions. I contacted owner to receive checkin instructions per VRBO. Elissa got back with me after I received no response to my first two msg. She send me checkin instructions but assured me VRBO would send instructions day before and I would get instructions twice which I didn’t . After our initial difficulties the trip was very nice. The house was clean and well equipped. The beds slept very comfortably. The house has so much character and a wonderful front porch. I personal favorite were the window treatments very nice I love them. The owners special touches like bathrobes in rooms and coffee bar are nice extras. Wonderful 2 day stay.

Beautiful Home

We booked this home in order to enjoy Christmas with family. It far exceeded our expectations. TWO beautifully decorated trees in living and dining room! We’ve rented many homes over the years and, by far, this was the nicest one. Our hosts thought of everything. Being in the country was a plus…yet only 15 minutes to stores etc. 5*****

Great country getaway

It's clean and well stocked. Quiet location. Any questions were very promptly answered. Appomattox, D Day Memorial, and Poplar Forest are all excellent day trip activities. We loved it.

We own a local remodeling business in Roanoke. This rental home has been a great diversion from the rat race of the remodeling world. We hope you can escape your rat race and relax! There are 400 cows on the farm as well as 2-3kids (depends on the day) a few dogs, a farm hand and a couple of horses.

Our Mountain View’s are stunning!

What makes this property unique

Mountain views, minimal cell service (we do have WIFI) and fresh air! Take a peak out the door you never know what you will see. Wildlife is abundant! Sit on the porch around 9-10pm and listen to the Coyotes sing their song!
