Welcome to your Whistler mountain retreat - ideal for winter stays filled with skiing, forest views, and fireside evenings.

- Sleeps 8 | 4 bedrooms | 6 beds | 3.5 baths

- Private hot tub

- Wood-burning fireplace

- Shared pool (June-September)

- Full kitchen & dedicated workspace

- Short walk to intermediate ski trails

The Space:

Soft winter light settles over the forested slope, and you can feel the quiet of the mountains as you step onto the balcony. The cool air carries the scent of cedar, and inside, the gentle crackle of the wood-burning fireplace invites you to settle in after a day on Whistler’s snowy trails. Evenings move slowly here - from warming up in the private hot tub to gathering in the glow of the living room’s vaulted windows.

Sleeping arrangements

Taluswood 41 sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and three and a half baths. On the upper level, the primary bedroom features a king bed, gas fireplace, TV, and a walk-in wardrobe. Its ensuite bathroom includes floor heating, a bathtub, a glass-enclosed shower, and a double vanity. A second upper-level bedroom offers a queen bed, natural light, and a private ensuite with both bathtub and shower. The lower level includes one bedroom with two twin beds and another with a tri-bunk that offers a double and a single bed. A separate bathroom with a glass-enclosed shower is located on this level, and a powder room sits on the main floor.

Living spaces

The living room is designed for gathering, with its vaulted ceilings and expansive windows that frame the surrounding evergreens. A wood-burning fireplace adds warmth, while a media den with a large TV provides an additional place to unwind. A dedicated workspace equipped with a desk, monitor, and office chair offers a quiet spot to focus, supported by WiFi throughout the home.

Kitchen & dining

The full kitchen is set up for home-cooked meals, with the space and tools you need to prepare breakfast before hitting the mountain or dinner after a day in the snow. The dining table seats eight, making it easy to enjoy shared meals. An in-unit washer and dryer support longer winter stays.

Outdoor living

A wraparound deck offers fresh mountain air and forest views, while the private hot tub on the lower-level balcony provides a warm retreat on cold nights. The BBQ grill is available year-round, giving you the option for outdoor cooking even in winter. Guests also have access to a shared pool open from mid-June to mid-September, though the surrounding area in winter is best enjoyed for its proximity to skiing and snow-covered trails.

Neighborhood

Set high on Whistler Mountain in the quiet Taluswood neighborhood, the home provides a peaceful winter setting with immediate access to nature. Ski trails leading toward Creekside are reachable on foot for intermediate skiers, and the shops, restaurants, and gondola at Creekside are a short drive away. The area is best suited for guests with a vehicle, offering a balance of mountain seclusion and convenience.

Lovely Stay in Whistler

We had a really fun visit at this home. Plenty of space for a family of 3 and a family of 4. Ski conditions weren't great so we drove back and forth to the the Creekside Gondola. Loved the fireplace, hot tub and spotting a bobcat nearby!

Beautiful place

Nice place for larger group. We were six adults and the home was a perfect fit. The home was comfortable, had all the needed items such as linens, towels, and cookware/dishes. We really enjoyed the stay. Tougher location for ski in and ski out. Not an easy hike to and from the trails especially in ski boots.

Family ski trip

The property was nice and the floor plan was perfect. The ski room with boot heaters was wonderful. The ski in/out was tough. Especially for beginners and even intermediate skiers. The also kitchen needs more cooking utensils and pots and pans. We bought and left a wine opener.

If I had to find one fault with our unit it would be that the sheets in the upstairs master bedroom don't fit the bed. It needs deep pocket sheets. They kept slipping away from the mattress. Other than that our stay could not have been more relaxed.

Whistler

My only negative comment is related to this property being listed as a "ski-in ski-out." In my experience, ski-in ski-out means the slopes are just steps away from the unit. It shouldn't take a google map to explain how to get to the slopes and back. We ended up parking at Creekside or the Village. Other than that we had a wonderful stay. In regards to the village, the signage needs to be revised to include basic information like "chairlifts and gondolas... this direction." Then signs telling you how to find your way back to the parking deck. The village is a wonderful place with lots of nice stores and restaurants, but to an exhausted skier tromping around in heavy ski boots, after a full day of skiing, the place can be an extremely confusing maze.

Lovely Last Minute Vacation

We booked this rental last minute as we had to cancel a family vacation to the Okanagan due to the wildfires. We are a group of 6 adults and 2 children and the property worked very well for us. We were lucky to find something at such short notice. The home is spacious and well maintained. The hot tub was great to have and we used the community pool a couple of times as well. The location was great and about a 10 minute drive to anywhere we wanted to go. The listing is a bit misleading as there is not a usable garage at this property. There is a garage door with a small area with the garbage bins and a couple of benches and a boot warmer. The rest of the garage has been turned into a den area. There is a driveway in front of the garage for parking as well as a carport at the front door. The arrival communication had several errors but we were able to quickly get hold of Whistler Platinum and it did not stop us from accessing the property. Whistler Platinum were great to deal with. Just a note that the downstairs beds are very hard! Overall though, a great trip and we would stay again.

Amazing rental for vacation

As soon as I arrived at the property I was impressed by the beautiful landscape and location(creekside). Not to close to the buzzing environment of Whistler village but close enough to get there with a short drive or bike ride (although it is pretty steep coming back). The rental house itself was as pictured. All the amenities available functioned well. The gaming room impressed my children who had brought their own devices ( the wifi was fast enough). There is even a mini office if you want to work (that I didn’t use). We enjoyed the shared pool on hot days (walking distance and very nice, private landscape again) and the private hot tub on cooler nights. It felt like being at home: cooking and bbq, laundry, but better when I was sitting on the deck to enjoy the sunset. The rental company was efficient and contacted us to let us know about scheduled services. I am very pleased and planning to return in winter to enjoy skiing and the wood fireplace.

2020 Friends Ski Trip

Everything about this property was outstanding., and Whistler Platinum was a pleasure to work with. We were a group of 8 adults and it was perfect. My only feedback concerns the bus pick up and drop off. Clear information on which stops to take for shortest walk could be a benefit. Maybe we missed it in the literature but it was a shock when the bus dropped us off at Garibaldi..haha We will definitely be back to the area, and will try to rent Talluswood 41 again. Cheers

The location worked very well for us. And the property manager was very responsive.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would come back. The property was well appointed. The ski-in/ski-out was not very convenient or worth the effort to use it use it. However it’s a very short drive from the property to the free parking at the base of Creekside.
