Great property in a very good location. Had a family of 14 and the house was exactly what we needed. The pool was a great plus. Hope to stay there again in the future vacations.
We absolutely loved the quietness and family atmosphere of Holden Beach. Our beach house was very comfortable for a large group and fairly close to the beach. We loved having 2 fridges in the house and a backyard pool. We are already talking about another trip back to Holden Beach next year.
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay! Come back soon!

The house is really nice and the pool is beautiful. Great location! Super easy walk to the beach. The renter companys communication is poor, to say the least and the floors and bathrooms were not very clean but we had a fabulous time and it would not stop us from renting again but the house was so nice and the location is so great but the if the renter company got it together, it would really be great for the home owner. Im sure they have plenty of options.
House was great, pool was nice just beware of walk to the beach. The pictures make it look closer however the area has built up around the house and with little children it was channeling but not that far.

Great location but could have used a good cleaning
The location of this house was great. It was only a short walk to the beach and you can see a bit of the ocean from the top deck. The house itself was mostly what we expected from the pictures but it wasn't very clean. As soon as I walked in I could smell a wet dog smell. There was dog hair rolling around the floor when the AC popped on and all over the living room furniture. Also, the stove in the kitchen had tomato sauce splattered on it, the comforter in one of the bedrooms had been thoroughly used by a previous guest, and a bunch of lightbulbs were burnt out. I left a message for the management company but never heard back. The lack of cleanliness didn't ruin our stay. The house accommodated us well and the heated pool was great!
We had three families come together for the week at this property and it was perfect. The house was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed the pool and it was an easy walk to the beach, even with 6 toddlers.
Loved the openness of the top floor (living and dining area, kitchen). Great decks that looked out toward the ocean. Pool was excellent...large, great deck amenities (hammock, cozy seating, great shower). Would love to stay here again.
The only drawback isn't the house's fault. The walk to the beach from this property is convoluted. Not too, too far, but just enough to be annoying. Again...not the house's fault. Just sharing more as an FYI to renters. The house is still worth the stay!

Thank you for your review! Come back to see us soon!
The house was mostly perfect for our 2 families (4 adults and 6 kids aged 4 to 11). The layout was great -- kitchen, dining, and living room were very open and spacious plus the views of the ocean from the main floor were amazing. Even though the house is technically 3rd row from the beach, there is no 2nd row home b/c it's marshland and the 3 1st row homes directly in front of this house were older, shorter homes that did not block the view of the ocean. Getting to the beach wasn't bad as there was a walkway near the house that shortened the trip to the public beach access. If you look at this home on the map you may assume that you have close beach access and access to a dock on the intracoastal waterway but the few homes on this street are not part of the neighborhood that affords that private access. Because it rained hard as we were arriving the gravel driveway and dirt road held a lot of standing water as did the marsh land next to the house which led to lots of mosquitos. As the water subsided so did the bug bites -- just plan on having some bug spray. The pool and pool deck was another big highlight for us -- plenty of space for our whole crew with enough room for some to float around while others played games. The hammock, outdoor couch, and patio table were used everyday because the kids didn't want to leave the pool.
We really enjoyed this house. The location was great, it was a short walk to the beach which we preferred with two small children. We really liked having our own pool and the outside shower was a great bonus. We brought our projector and watched a movie on the bathroom wall while we swam or laid in the hammock. Everyone enjoyed their rooms and the open floor plan upstairs. The two fridges were nice since we bought groceries for the whole week and there were multiple families there. Only a few downsides to this property. The freezer in one fridge already had ice forming inside from not being shut fully before we even arrived. (very minor grievance) The pool heater stopped working due to water evaporating faster so the pool needed to be refilled, which we didn't mind doing BUT there had been no instructions left telling us that it would need to be done so about 2.5-3 days of our stay the water was cold. And that wouldn't have been an issue but we did pay an extra $300 for the pool heater to be turned on so it would have been nice if we could've enjoyed a warm pool the entire stay. (water was still a bit chilly due to it being early May) Last "issue" we had was more of a safety hazard that we felt needed attending to. The balcony at the very top is not constructed properly. There should be wood or some other sort of structural support inside of the railings but there is not. So essentially the only thing keeping you from falling is a piece of aluminum and they are very wobbly. Also, the wood out there is very splintered and weathered so definitely wear shoes on the top deck! But overall it provided us a great home for our vacation and we will definitely consider staying there again!
