Serenity Shores - Meredith Lodging

Open, clean and spacious, this well-appointed contemporary home has all you and your guests need for an outstanding stay in Pacific City. With five bedrooms, including a kids’ room with three built-in bunk beds, you can invite lots of family and friends to enjoy time at the beach. The great room has a beautiful stacked-rock gas fireplace, a large wall-mounted flat screen TV and plenty of comfy seating. You’ll enjoy eating at the adjoining dining room, with its peaceful forest views through large windows. The gorgeous kitchen has stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, including a large island with stools for a breakfast bar.

Outdoors, there’s a hot tub, an outdoor shower, fully fenced yard, and chairs around a custom fire-pit. Best of all, this lovely home is a quick five-minute walk to the beach (or an even shorter ride, if you use the bikes in the garage!). You’re also walking distance to Haystack Rock, the Pelican Pub, a coffee-house and market. Gather up your family members and friends and plan a comfortable, convenient stay in this wonderful home!

The house is big open and very inviting. We’ve stayed there twice and I’m sure we’ll book again. The bunk room is the best for kids. Nice walking trails right out the back and just a short walk to the beach.

The house was overall very pleasant, clean and comfortable. We liked the floor plan and open great room. However, the front door lock worked once then malfunctioned, so we were out in the cold for a bit. The oven never made it to pizza temperatures in over 2 hours, so it was marginally functional. But all in all pleasant.

Perfect for a big group

This property is perfect for a large group. A ton of space and very well stocked with anything you might need in the kitchen. Great location to walk to anything you might need.

Great house for a large group birthday weekend.

It was the two of us, our Labrador and 5 teens for a long birthday weekend and the house was perfect! We have family coming up from Arizona this summer and will be rebooking for that time. Can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful for multiple families

The location can suit 2-3 families very easily. Especially families with small kids. It is only a 5 min walk from beach.

This is a wonderful space for a large group. The layout was great and the house had all the amenities you could ask for. The view out the back was beautiful. Nothing but trees! Very restful.

Family gathering

Lovely!

Lovely home! Plenty of room for all of us and the kids bunk room was a hit! Very comfortable and clean. Good stock of kitchen needs. The beach towels and toys were a nice surprise and well appreciated! Enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit and even a few deer behind the back fence visited!

Great Beach Stay

Everything was great. The house was very clean. The check-in process was very simple. They actually had more inside the house than was advertised, in a good way. The children had a blast. The neighborhood was quiet and very close to the beach. The back yard is a great atmosphere to hang out day and night. We were able to set up the cornhole and roast some marshmallows. I would recommend this house to anyone that would like to have a great stay at the beach.

Great spot, will likely return

We ended up staying an extra day since we enjoyed ourselves so much. Great, clean and nice home. Cool neighborhood on a few trails worth exploring. Not super convenient to the beach but not terrible. We had an issue with the kitchen sink and management wasn't as responsive as we would have liked but not a deal breaker. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home!

Clean and comfortable

We enjoyed our stay here. The house was clean and comfortable. Had every kitchen gadget and dishes we needed to make big dinners. No detail is overlooked. The fully fenced yard with hot tub and fire pit was great for the family and dogs. Great short walk to the beach, restaurants , and market. There is some construction in the neighborhood and a walking path behind the house which did not bother us but might be problematic for those wanting privacy. Overall a great place!

MAX 10 PEOPLE. Home has Security cameras. Host will verify limit. Listing should clearly state the limit max.This home advertisement is that it is spacious, and family friendly. It is 5 bedrooms and The beds themselves sleep 14 comfortably. However, if you have over the 10 limit you will be kicked out or evicted. The person limit includes kids or anyone. We had over the limit and unfortunately had to relocate some of the family. Listing should clearly state 10 max. This caused for headache and frustration and could have been eliminated had the listing been more clear and accurate. Meredith Lodging /the Host needs to update this listing. They wouldn’t return calls when I tried to speak to management.House is otherwise nice, in a great location. Wish we had a different experience than the one we did.

Comfortable & clean

Very comfortable and clean. Had problems checking in. Code on entry did not work and thru out the stay stopped working. Beds were comfortable and the boys loved the bunk beds. Hot tub was a nice touch in the evening with smores in the fire pit. Dishwasher did not work. Most of our days were on the beach. Home was close to Pelican Brewery and park. Hard to park only 2 cars.

Perfect family house

My entire family was able to stay there comfortably! My only complaint would be that they charged a hot tub cleaning fee and the hot tub was not clean at all. Bottom was full of sand, and the chlorine dispenser was empty with the water not very clear. Also none of the game systems were working in the house. Otherwise the house itself was great!

Family vacation

The house was very nice and very accommodating for our family of 10. The sand out back for the younger kids was a big hit! We loved the hot tub and prompt service of it also. The amenities were on point and we really enjoyed the great weather while there. My only real concern was the overall attention to “deep” cleaning of the rooms. Women’s panties were behind the master bedroom end table. Another bedroom had an almost empty fifth of alcohol stuffed between the mattress and box springs. There were other misc. items of garbage under the beds. Please pay attention to detailed cleaning. When you pay big bucks, it should not need cleaning at all upon entry! I already sent a message while we were there during our stay, but never got any responses regarding these issues. Your dryer was overly full of massive amount of lint and sand in the lint trap area. We called upon checkout to inform the management that it could be a fire if not attended to ASAP. I cleaned out what I could so we could fulfill the request of starting loads of towels before leaving.

Terrible experience, should not be rented in this condition

First thing we noticed upon walking in with a large family that was wanting to relax was the dishwasher sign stating it was not working and would not be repaired any time soon. For a family wanting to get away and relax this was the first off-putting item, so we spent more money on disposable plates and silverware, not good for environment but no way we were washing everything as it was there so much cookware and things to wash. Then after walking around in the house a couple of hours several of the family noticed their feet/socks were black on the bottom, yes the floors are dirty as if they have not been cleaned in years. In the morning we were greeted with the Keurig missing the plastic cup piece the coffee pod goes into so there goes more money and time wasted to go get coffee each morning. Not at all how we wanted to spend the time in a busy morning. Then of course we come to realize soon that there was not enough toilet paper provided. I mean seriously, this is a 5 bedroom house with 6 twin beds and 5 full/queen/king there should be enough TP without running out two days in. Also, the game consoles upstairs did not work, they were jammed or just flat out not functioning and did not have batteries. Unfortunately we bought batteries before realizing they didn't work at all. Basically this place should be completely cleaned and reevaluated before being put back on the market. You cannot have a house this large without a working dishwasher and coffee machine!!
