About this property
Big Bear's Most Unique Location! Amazing View, Wood Fireplace, Backs To Mountain
Stay at one of the most unique locations in the Big Bear Valley. Our beautiful mountain cabin is just across the street from Big Bear Lake's shoreline, and backs to a mountain from the vast San Bernardino National Forest. If you're looking to get away from City stress, it doesn't get much better than our "Alpine Lake Cabin".
The home is two bedrooms one bath with enough accommodations for up to four guests and parking for one vehicle. It has a fully equipped kitchen, wood burning fireplace, WiFi, propane BBQ and breathtaking views from most rooms in the cabin. Bedroom one has a queen bed and bedroom two has two twin beds.
We recommend this cabin for nature enthusiasts, small family retreats, and private couple getaways. The cabin was built on the side of the mountain at an elevated position in order to maximize the beautiful views of the lake. Because of this there are 25+ steps on the stairs from the driveway to the front door.

The view was perfect. The property was dated but we enjoyed the balcony and view so much it didn't matter. I did cook dinner one night, again dated kitchen utensils but they had everything I could possibly need to make anything. Town was just a couple minute drive, lots to do.
Great place right near the lake, cozy cabin perfect size for my Family of 4. The host were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay, they even let us check in early, which we greatly appreciated. we will definitely be coming back to the spot hopefully in the winter specially because it’s no more than a 10 minute drive from the town. Highly satisfied!!

Great place to stay! I am in the process of purchasing a home in Big Bear and it was so nice to stay at a house that is well kept, quiet and jas everything we needed, including stunning views
We very much enjoyed our stay. We've never stayed on this side of the lake and not regret it. The place itself was just perfect for our family. Right across from the water with amazing views from the huge deck. They were very accommodating hosts, would absolutely book here in the future.
This is my second time staying at this location, first time during the summer. It's on the opposite side of all the hustle & bustle. Being able to walk across the street and touch the water this time (last time was winter). The kids had the best time and just a short drive to easier hikes as well as the Alpine Slides. I would definitely recommend, great spot.

Stayed for a long weekend and it was cozy and quiet. We sat for hours looking over the lake and played cards in front of the fire place. Great place to do nothing at.

We absolutely loved staying at this home. It was so peaceful and comfortable. We brought our own outdoor chairs which worked out amazingly because we spent most of our time outside on the beautiful deck. The heater worked well and we were impressed with how many extra blankets were available. Definitely want to go back to this quaint little home.

I liked that it was cozy and quiet, beautiful view to the lake. A little outdated but had everything you needed for a great stay. Communication with host was easy.
Amazing view of the lake and forest from each window in the cabin! Perfect fireplace!A lots of stairs to go up and down and very slippery with snow on it. Great stay overall!!! Would recommend it if you just want to relax and enjoy the view!
Everything was perfect for a quick weekend trip to the mountain.
The cabin is conveniently located close to main snow/ski attractions, with a beautiful view of the lake and all you can need for a cozy stay.
Blankets and heaters were provided for the perfect final touch.
We spent most of our time out on the deck watching the sunrise, eating meals and just enjoying the view. Lovely cabin that had everything we needed. We got to bbq the first night and I was able to cook homemade Lasagna the next night. I hope to start again soon.
Beautiful location with a stunning view of the lake and sunrise. In the peak of summer, it was a bit hot in the cabin at night (no A/C), but we managed with the many fans provided by the owners. Zero complaints. Highly recommend.
This property is exactly what is listed and more. You go there to stay with a view and it helps that everything is within 15mins drive. It’s comfortable and fully equipped. The small touches of leaving out toiletries, kids’ milk chocolate and such were endearing. We appreciated and enjoy our stay.
Small Cabin with 30 steps to entry No wireless conectivity
If you are looking for a stay with limited access to the outside world this is it. Beautiful view of Lake on the sleepy side. Great deal we are repeat stay
This is a great location with a stunning view of the lake. The best part of the house is a huge balcony looking onto the lake. Extremely clean and the host was very responsive. FYI - Apple Maps tells you it’s on the opposite side of the road.
This is an absolutely gem of a cabin. For a true cabin feel in big bear, STAY HERE. everything is clean, well thought out, tiny details thought of. The view is STUNNING. Woke up to catch the sunrise both mornings, saw a juvenile bald eagle gliding over the lake. Beautiful views of the night stars. The deck is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or tea. Close enough to everything to not feel like it’s a journey, far enough to be able to enjoy the serene peacefulness of Big Bear Lake. WILL be staying here again!
