About this property
The Great House: More than just a cottage!
Our state-of-the-art Great House was designed for entertaining with a free-flowing indoor/outdoor living space, a modern catering kitchen, sensational lake views, and a layout that’s perfect for families and friends to gather at the lake. We generally rent by the week in high season.
*BONUS* If you need more space, rent the Eagle for four additional bedrooms. Or rent all four of our cottages, including the Little House and Lake House, to sleep 35 and have the resort to yourself.
Living Spaces
As soon as you enter this waterfront retreat, you’ll be greeted by stunning lake views through walls of glass. The spacious open floor plan invites gathering but also allows plenty of room to spread out when you need it. Take breaks from the lake in the open living room, where ample seating, a Malm fireplace, and a large wall-mounted flatscreen TV give all the cozy vibes. There are also glass sliders to the deck for easy access and beautiful views.
In the same open space, the expansive screened-in porch blends seamlessly into the living space. Just slide open the fully retractable wall of glass to have an additional seating area and the ultimate in indoor/outdoor living. Play ping pong or unwind by the wood-burning fireplace.
There’s even another living room upstairs – the perfect kids’ hangout or private retreat when you just need a little time to yourself.
Kitchen & Dining
The modern kitchen in the Great House is a chef’s dream, designed for entertaining, with two wall ovens, two Bosch dishwashers, two refrigerators, eight burners, plenty of prep space, and every appliance you can imagine. When you’re ready to dine, there are endless options, including an eight-person table in the open dining area, a table for ten on the screened-in porch, and extra tables and seating to accommodate up to 35 guests in the wide-open space.
There’s also a second full kitchen upstairs, so there’s no shortage of options for meal prep and dining.
Bedrooms & Baths
With five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a Queen sleeper sofa in the second-floor living room, this home comfortably accommodates 15 guests, making it perfect for families. Each of the five bedrooms has a King bed that can be converted into two XL twins, so sleeping arrangements are a breeze no matter how many couples or children you have in your group. One of the bedrooms is wheelchair accessible, with a private ramp entrance and an accessible bathroom with a roll-in shower.
With five full bathrooms, you’ll have plenty of privacy, and one of the main floor bathrooms has direct lake access, so you don’t have to trail water through the house to use the bathroom when you’re out enjoying the lake.

Outdoor Amenities
Located directly on Bobs Lake, the Great House has an expansive grassy lawn perfect for running around with the kids and pets or playing yard games. Just beyond the lawn is your own private sandy beach and deck over the water (dock is shared). You’ll also love both upper and lower decks just off the house, each with inviting furniture to help you enjoy the views. Unwind in your private hot tub or fire up the BBQ grill after working up an appetite at the lake.
But it doesn’t end there – we offer endless resort-style amenities at our property. Get out on the water on the provided canoes, kayaks, SUPs, and paddle boats. Bring your boat and use our boat launch, or rent one from us – we offer fishing, pontoon, and speed boats all on-site.
If you’d rather stick to the land, you can fish right from the dock and use the fish cleaning hut. We also have bikes for your use, a basketball/pickleball court, volleyball/badminton, a playground for the kids, an outdoor shower, a fire pit, outdoor billiards, a ping pong table, and more. Enjoy Bingo night at the Tiki bar, or gather with friends and family in multiple outdoor lounge areas.
When you visit in the winter, experience the lake like never before as it freezes and transforms into your own ice skating rink just steps from your cottage. You’re going to love it here!
The Neighborhood
Located in South Frontenac, midway between Toronto and Montreal, Bobs Lake is rural Ontario’s largest wilderness lake. The biggest draw of this area, which is approximately 7 hours from NYC, is the incredible access to such pristine wilderness. Surrounded by hundreds of lakes, forests, and hiking and biking trails, it’s dotted with small villages like Westport, just 22 minutes away, where you can eat fish and chips, buy fudge, and get pizza at the winery overlooking a lake. The cities of Perth and Kingston are also just 50 minutes away. Bobs Lake is a great place to escape with the family and get away from it all.
Other Things To Note
We mostly rent by the week in high season with Friday as the changeover day.
Pet friendly. No smoking/vaping.
Please inquire about parties and events, as we love to host weddings, retreats, family reunions, and more. We can arrange catering, tent setup, rentals, photography, and more.

I am a psychologist who fell in love with Bobs Lake at my first visit 39 years ago. My love for the lake made me turn this into a business that I cherish.

What makes this property unique
you have the privacy of a cottage but the amenities of a resort.. All cottages are lakefront, with views and hot tubs. There is something for all ages here.
