Much better than a hotel room at half the price.

Great location. Very quiet. The unit is small but well laid out. Having access to full kitchen facilities and laundry a huge plus. The best part about this rental to me was the privacy. There was a table and four chairs outside that was completely private and so peaceful. As advertised the yard is huge for this area of Cape Cod. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Lovely rental.

Great location. Close to beaches and restaurants. Lance is helpful and so, so pleasant to deal with. Overall a nice place to stay for a small family or couple. Would definitely like to rent again.

Perfect Location - Everything you need!

We are a family of four - two as adults and two tweens. This place was cozy but not cramped. The full sized fridge and stocked kitchen allowed us to make our own own food. The communication with the host was perfect. The two best parts were linens being included AND laundry on-site!

Great mini vacation in South Yarmouth

We spent six wonderful days in this cute and charming cottage in South Yarmouth. It was clean and had everything we needed for a good vacation including a glass table in the backyard where we had breakfasts and dinners, big screen TV, and reliable connection to the internet. Walking distance to the beach. The owner is very nice, and he accommodated all our requests at a very short notice. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back.

This property was wonderful for our family of 4! Plenty of room inside, the full kitchen was such a blessing along with being able to do our own laundry after Long Beach days. Lance was very informative on check in instructions and a great host! The cottage was clean and very cozy for our week long stay There were a few beaches with in walking distance or a very short drive. Not to mention dining options and stores like Whole Foods, tractor supply, dicks sporting goods and several others were a brief 15 minute drive. If you also like visiting the bay side that’s only a 20-25 minute drive. This cottage is the perfect get away from home that still feels like home for a couple or a family of 4. Plus the area is very quiet and the fenced in back yard gives a great feel of privacy and security for the kids! We will definitely be going back!

You can’t have better then this!!

The place is amazing! Very clean and comfy, has everything to meet your needs. Private yard is great, a lot of shaded space. Very quite neighborhood, close to the beautiful beach. I had such a pleasure staying there for almost a week. Thankful to the owner for his hospitality. Looking forward to the next summer. Will definitely go back!

We are off to the water park and then back to home. This was a wonderful and carefree stay! Thank you. We left some mini roses!!! Doors are locked, keys in the lock box and trash is in the black trash barrell outside. The laundry like sheets and blankets are in the bathroom. Thank you again for a much better and more magical time than we expected! Happy end of summer.

Nice Rental Unit

We enjoyed our stay at this rental unit. Place has a good sized front yard where there's plenty of space for kids to run around and play. The unit itself is comfortable, clean and well kept. It is a 15 minute walk to the beach but we didn't mind since we love to walk. Lance and with the help of his brother Bill were always ready to answer and help us with our questions. Rental cost is just right considering that the property is located to nearby restaurants, grocery, other stores, short walk to the beach and other kid friendly activities.

What happens when you rent sight unseen

This unit was a converted garage, very small, poorly furnished and equiped. Okay for a long weekend but not 2 months. The positives were close location to beach and very quiet at night. The hosts were responsive to our needs, but there was only one table measuring 40 inches in diameter stuck in a corner for us to use, only a futon to sit on, a double bed on a wire box spring. We had to buy knives, frying pan, a large pot, which we were reimbursed for, and no placemats or cloth napkins. No patio or deck, just grass and dirt with a few chairs and table. I doubt if the hosts have ever had one guest rent for the summer before. We lef the "cottage" on August 12th, a full month before our lease was up. It was totally our fault.

Hi Richard, (One item I'd like to correct first is that you said the bed is a 'double' size. The bed is not a 'double' size. It is a high quality Queen size mattress, base and frame.) Thanks again for staying with us, and for your review. I'm sorry our place wasn't more to your liking for a long-term stay. Yes it was our first 'long-term guest' experience. You are correct that our place was set up more for short-term guests. We've had many short-term guests that have had a wonderful time, and have enjoyed the privacy of our rental, the large yard, the accommodations, and the great location with a 10-minute easy walk to the ocean and the excellent beaches. As every guest has their own set of specific needs and expectations, we're thankful that you gave us the opportunity to do our best to accommodate your personal needs, your longer-term needs, and your expectations, based on your own specific situation. The details regarding the size and layout of the rental are clear in the description and in the pictures in our listing, including the outdoor areas. As part of our efforts to do our best to make your personal experience what you were looking for, we had a high-end cable TV package added for you, and sent some folks to set it up for you, and to show you how to use it. You may recall, we also bought the beach season's pass for you. I'm not sure why your title says 'sight unseen'. You had a family member look at the property before you rented it. You may also recall we offered your family member full access to go inside and have a look around the rental as well. Other than the 4 chairs with the dining table, yes there is also a futon for people to sit or recline on. Other guests have enjoyed the accommodations very much. I recall you telling me that you left early due to some issues that you and your wife needed to address back home. I hope she and you are both doing well. We appreciate that you stayed with us, and we'd love the opportunity to have you again as our guest if you come back to the area.

We were supposed to stay for 5 days but left on the second day due to the smell of the house. It is hard to explain in detail, but it smelled old. Especially the closets and bathroom. After my family cleaned the space it still wasn't completely gone. The space is also much smaller than expected in person

Hi Rosa F., Thank you so much for staying with us. We were disappointed to find out that you had some issues with the cottage. Having been the coldest and wettest 4th of July weekend on the Cape that I can recall, I can imagine that conditions weren't ideal anywhere on the Cape. I just wish you could have reached out to us during your stay, so that we would have been able to address the problem you were having. We are dedicated to our guests having a great experience, and always do everything in our power to that end. As far as the size of the cottage goes, in the listing directly below the pictures, it mentions that it is 400 square feet, including information regarding the sleeping arrangements. We haven't had any previous complaints about an "old" smell and we often stay there ourselves and have never experienced that. We clean and disinfect everything between guests, and wash all the towels, linens, and blankets every time. Perhaps what you were experiencing was just a damp smell from many days of Cape Cod rain. Again, so sorry that you weren't completely satisfied, and that you didn't reach out to us to give us a chance to address your concerns, and make things better for your stay.
