Designated a Heritage Home of Petaluma, this craftsman is over one hundred years old and maintains much of its original charm and character.
The open dining room comfortably seats six and opens into a fully-stocked kitchen with a professional Wolf range, stainless appliances, a farm sink, butcher block counters and a coffee bar. The vintage sideboard turned eat-in island is the perfect place to gather for hors d'oeuvres or meal prep. Swing the French doors open and mingle between indoors and outdoors. Just off the kitchen you will find a laundry room complete with washer, dryer, staples, ironing supplies and reusable grocery bags.
The downstairs bedroom is quiet and shady with a queen bed and a small armoire for a quick weekend stay. A full bathroom adjoins the downstairs bedroom and features a roomy shower. The upstairs bathroom features a claw-foot tub and a shower. Both bathrooms are outfitted with plenty of towels and toiletries.
Upstairs you are greeted by an open landing with a spacious work table and large closet. Off the landing are two bedrooms: one with a queen bed and the other with twin beds and a bonus space which boasts playthings for children (including a formidable Lego collection) and is also a place to watch TV, read or catch a nap while the kids are busy.
Each of the bedrooms features a comfy mattress, two feather pillows, two down-alternate pillows, high quality sheets, down comforters with duvet covers and extra blankets should it be chilly.
In the back yard, a large conversation pit of Adirondack chairs sits beneath a majestic Redwood, and the side yard features dining al fresco with twinkling cafe lights above. The back deck is a perfect place to enjoy breakfast under the market umbrella or hang out while dinner is on the grill. The front porch is an especially lovely place to take in the pedestrian traffic on a busy Petaluma weekend, whether from the stoop or while foraging for berries in the garden.
