9/17/2026 Shorewood III Roof Replacement Project
We were notified today about a roof replacement project at Shorewood III
Starting 10/19/2026 and will finish by Thanksgiving weather permitting.
There will be no scaffolding involved. All the work will be done from the top. There will be a crane and a dumpster in the parking lot up by the building so parking will be blocked off on the row next to the building.
There will be access at all times except if they are making a lift over the entrances.
There will be some noise but it will not be a continuous noise like on a construction job.

This wonderfully decorated villa will give you phenomenal views of the Atlantic Ocean! It is located on the 5th floor of a 5-story high rise and is decorated in bright, warm colors evoking images of the sandy beach just outside your window! The living room has plenty of seating and allows access to your private balcony. The dining table has seating for six. The master bedroom is outfitted with a king bed and a private en-suite bath. It also allows access to the private balcony. The 2nd bedroom has two double and also has a private bathroom. Each bedroom and the living room have TVs. This villa is perfect for small families!

What a beautiful condo! Tasteful furniture, very peaceful decor. The view out the window, fabulous. Hopefully the ceiling on the balcony will be finished by the next time we come back!

Hilton Head Vacation Stay

Great experience!

Right on the beach with an amazing view! Very clean and comfortable for the entire family. My kids loved the pool and hot tub with easy access to the beach. We even walked the 5 minutes to Coligny Plaza for dining and shopping. Would definitely recommend!

Week getaway

Perfect property for my husband and me to unwind after a stressful season. We loved sitting at the windows and watching the ocean with our morning coffee. Great beach access and well maintained pool. The condo was cheery and bright and impeccably clean. Would come back in a heartbeat!!

Snowed in in Hilton Head

I was lucky to have a clean comfortable space because I was snowed in with ice on the roads for my vacation there. The floor to ceiling window overlooking the beach was a God send!

Family get together

We couldn’t have been any more satisfied with the property. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. The beach was beautiful. It was within walking distance of restaurants and everything we wanted to do. Definitely going to try and come back next year!

Our Thoughts

Very nice property. Quiet on the 5th floor. Kitchen well stocked but bring hot pads if you plan on cooking. There weren't any. Also, there was an unpleasant odor in the master suite. I had trouble identifying it so just had to live with it.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway!

We have a family of four and loved this condo and location. It was very clean! The Vacation Company does a wonderful job at communicating and helping us when we had a door code issue. Took all of 2 minutes to resolve and get in. Their starter kit is beyond helpful with plenty kitchen supplies for all that we needed food wise. Location is PERFECT. We biked everywhere, walked after dark, and enjoyed the pool & hot tub each day. The beach access is locked and safe with a perfect walkway straight to the beach. We felt safe and very happy here, the property was very well maintained and not too active. The pool was perfectly heated and the hot tub was a perk. We would absolutely stay here again!

I was so excited about this condo because it was right on the beach and had great views. As soon as we walked in the door, we smelled a very strong musty/moldy smell. We didn't think too much about it. We woke up the next morning feeling sick. We had headaches and felt lightheaded. We discovered black mold in the air

Spring Break

Arrived on site and the elevator was not working and the key code to door. There was no Communication when we booked the room that the elevator was being renovated. My son was on crutches and had to go up and down are whole vacation 5 flights of stairs. We notified your company, and nothing was resolved with this issue.

Beautiful view but several issues

The place looked real nice with nice balcony offset from living room giving a nice view from large living room windows. My problems were with the extremely intense cleaning product smell in the bathrooms and worse in the kitchen cabinets. The smell had imbedded in all kitchen cups, dishes and other things. Every time you opened the cabinet doors it smelled. The product needs to be diluted more or rinsed after applying. Hand towel holders in the Bathrooms would be real nice. Hooks by the front door also. The.living room furniture could use an update…way to soft Maybe fine for a younger crowd. Beds were good and lots of pillows. Large rooms. The condo complex is very nice and perfect for watching the Annual Lantern Parade!

Unit 510 had just had an annual clean performed, where the housekeepers dig a lot deeper and wipe down areas that don't typically get cleaned during changeover during the busy season, so I apologize for that. I will mention your comment regarding the furniture in the living room to the owner and we should be able to find a quick solution to the lack of towel holders and install some coat hooks as well. Again, thank you for staying with us and we hope to host you again in the future.

Enjoyable Stay

We had a nice week at Shorewood 510. The condo was very comfortable and just as described. We enjoyed the view from the 5th floor! Pros were comfortable beds/bedding, lots of hangers, cold air conditioning, plenty of towels, nice appliances & beach towels. Cons for us were carpeting in bedrooms (not used to that at the beach), no ceiling fans, the water heater in the master bedroom closet and only 1 hairdryer for both bathrooms. The washer/dryer stack unit worked great but heads up…it’s noisy. We were afraid at first it was broke but it worked fine. Our door codes did not work when we arrived but the Vacation Company representative answered our call and was able to reset the code and get us in the condo. We took advantage of the included beach rental credit and got beach chairs this year in addition to beach service. Very handy to sit closer to the water. This was a nice benefit. The elevator for service to this condo was not working well the last few days of our visit. The call button would not work on the 1st floor, you had to take the steps to the 2nd floor to catch the elevator to the 5th floor. Hopefully they get this repaired soon.

Needs Updating

Excellent location, great view, and good furniture. Very dated kitchen and bathrooms. Kitchen is likely original with Formica countertop pealing off around the sink. Bathrooms have the lowest sinks I've ever seen (well below waist level and I'm only 5' 7"). Shower did not drain which I remedied by pulling about a foot of hair out of the drain. Hard to believe the cleaning service didn't notice it wasn't draining. Bugs in unit and cockroaches on the outdoor patio (exterminator sheet posted in pantry shows last date of service almost exactly 1 year ago). The Shorewood complex could use some help too. The elevator is extremely slow and hot. The garbage room at the bottom of the main stairs competes against the pool bathroom for the strongest, most disgusting smell. I'm guessing the complex cleans both once a week which is not suitable for a complex of this size. We have stayed at Shorewood four times over the past five years and this will be our last. Other units we have stayed in were updated, but the overall experience this year ensures we will book a week at a different complex next year.

This condo had a great view . I rated this low because the beds in the second bedroom were excruciatingly uncomfortable . The bathrooms very tiny and narrow could barely navigate in the bathroom . Would not recommend this place for someone with small children or elderly who need help in the shower or bathtub . There is no room in either bathroom for a second person . Also the handle on the shower door for the walk in shower was missing and this would have been helpful for my elderly Mom . I called to have it fixed . A guy came and fixed it “ temporarily “ with a metal bar but that fell off and cut my mother’s foot . My Mom uses a wheelchair . This place is not handicap friendly . I ended up having to purchase equipment to make the place more accessible for my Mom for the week which after spending over 3,000 on this place to rent was an added expense plus the uncomfortable beds in the second room felt like a rip off . Very disappointed . Would like a partial refund for the uncomfortable mattress situation ( this made for not a restful vacation ) and having to purchase a shower bar because of the missing one and a toilet seat riser and other equipment . When I was messaging with the host company I explained my Mother uses a wheelchair and they did not mention this would not be a good option to accommodate her. I had asked about accessibility and elevator access prior to booking , etc .

We’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. This condo is not marketed as a handicap-accessible or ADA-accessible property. Prior to arrival, our team explained that there is one step from the parking area to access the elevator, with no additional stairs required to reach the fifth-floor unit. The compact bathrooms are also shown in the property photos. During the stay, our team was contacted regarding the television and a shower grab bar. Nick promptly assisted with the TV and installed a temporary grab bar at the guest’s request. We were not notified that the bar subsequently fell or that an injury had occurred, and we certainly would have wanted the opportunity to address that concern. We also were not contacted about the second bedroom mattresses during the stay. While mattress comfort is subjective, we always encourage guests to reach out to us during their stay so we can do what we can to help. We’re sorry this property ultimately was not the right fit for your family’s accessibility needs and hope this clarification is helpful to future guests.

Spring Break in March

We have stayed at Shorewood before, and we love staying up on the 5th floor for the fantastic views. This property was (mostly) nicely updated. However, the bathrooms, while updated, seemed backward. The "kids" bathroom, in our case, had a nice glass enclosed shower, while the master bath had a tub with a shower curtain. It had not one single shelf, soap dish, rack, hook, or anywhere inside it to set/put anything. There wasn't even much of a ledge on the side of the tub to set toiletries. Shaving legs was near impossible with nowhere to put a foot. It's also very dark in the shower with the curtain blocking the light. That was our biggest complaint about the unit and a bit of a struggle all week. When we arrived, one of the 4 outdoor chairs was broken and unusable. So it clearly had been broken and not previously reported. Management was responsive and brought out a new one the next day, otherwise all 4 of us could not sit out there at the same time. And this may be more a personal preference, but I find carpeting in the bedrooms to be an odd choice for a beachfront unit (even if on the top floor). Beach towels were a very nice addition, as most units do not provide them. The kitchen starter kit was very helpful, although there were only two (not very absorbent) kitchen towels provided. We luckily brought more with us. Overall, this is a nice, clean unit with great views. Would stay here again if the master bath issues were addressed.

Great stay for the 2nd time

We were so pleased with this property that we booked again for this year! Check-in/out process was flawless. We were given all the appropriate information ahead of time. Condo is stocked appropriately and was clean. We love that it is in a kid friendly neighborhood and enjoyed talking with the other families. Highly recommend.
