Staying in El Poble Sec, visiting Barcelona

This apartment (APT) is about 3/4 mile from Barcelona center. The distance from the APT to the Metro was about 3 min walk, incredibly convenient. The area was quiet at night, easy to sleep. The APT was up 2 short flights of stairs. Joan was helpful and let us in 3 hours before check-in, so that we could begin to tour. There were 4 in our group: me, my wife, my adult daughter, and her friend. The APT is small, clean, well equipped. The kitchen-livingroom-diningroom was big enough and easy for relaxing and cooking. We cooked in one evening and had all the dishes and cooking equipment we needed. The main bedroom/bathroom was big enough, but the second bedroom/bathroom was small. So, my daughter slept on the couch in the livingroom. This APT would be best for 3 people. The stove, refrigerator, showers, hot water, washer/dryer worked very well. My only complaint was the sequence of finances. Two months before the visit, we were notified that the advertised rate from 2021 was mistakenly listed, so it was requested that we pay an additional 18%. We were offered the option of canceling and receiving reimbursement, but we did not want to deal with the hassle of finding a new APT so late. In addition, we had to pay city tax (about 10% of the room cost) upon check-in. I highly recommend this APT, but be careful ahead of time about the finances.

Great place and location

This was a great place, and very clean. The neighborhood is quiet, and very clean. Nice selection of bars, cafes, and restaurants in easy walking distance. Please beware of the pick-pockets as they are everywhere, and very efficient at getting your wallet- even if you have a zipper on the pocket. Also, if you have car parking can be expensive, but you are in a big city.

Cute Little Apartment

This apartment was well equipped with everything you would need. Loved the balcony! The washer and dryer was a definite bonus. Very warm welcome with a lot of helpful information. Many little shops, pastry and coffee shops around the area. The beds are VERY firm. We did have an issue with the TV (stayed in one afternoon due to rain) and the hot water for showers. We did let Joan know about this though so hopefully it will be resolved soon. I would recommend having the host show you how to work the TV as well as check out the hot water situation before he leaves. The location is quiet in the evening which was what we wanted. Overall, happy with our stay there.

Lovely apartment in great neighborhood

This flat is everything you could want for a stay in Barcelona. Exactly as presented, well equipped kitchen, decent size bedrooms, and the best part, a lovely balcony. The location is excellent, we walked almost everywhere the whole week. There are lots of cafes, bakeries and grocery stores in the surrounding blocks. Check-in was easy and we were given lots of helpful information. Would definitely stay again.

4 days in Barcelona.

Mostly as advertised only thing is there is only a couch in the living room, not the two extra chairs as shown in the pictures. Other than that the communication with Joan was good he met us there on time and explained things well. The apartment is in a good location close to metro station and bus stops, there is a street nearby with lots of Tapas restaurants to choose from. Beds are pretty firm and small compared to North American standards but we found that to be the norm in the rest of Europe too. Bathrooms were good but the towels were quite small and had a strange odour. The kitchen was well stocked if you want to create some dishes of your own. It would have been nice to have a booklet on the operation of some of the appliances namely the T.V. and washer dryer in English or other languages for that matter. All in all we would recommend this apartment for two couples or family good value for money.

Wonderful location

We really enjoyed our stay and the apartment was well appointed. It had everything we needed. The A/C worked well & having the laundry facilities was a bonus. Fantastic location!

This apartment was in an ideal location. Easy walk or metro ride to all the great attractions. We were met on time and shown the amenities, the apt. is well-equipped and in a very safe neighbourhood. Great location

We had trouble checking in as we had the wrong address. Communications was by text and we had to wait. Once we were connected with the check-in person, it was a professional run. The elevator was a little difficult to operate but the apartment was roomy enough for 4 adults. It was close to the metro and grocery stores and in a quiet neighborhood but within walking distance to a main street with shops, restaurants and bars.

Appartement tout confort

Appartement qui offre de vraies prestations. Parfaitement optimisé au niveau de la surface, nous avons pu profiter de 2 chambres, 2 salles de bain et tout le confort en cuisine; nous étions 2 adultes et 2 enfants de 8 et 11 ans. Le lave-vaisselle est très apprécié lorsqu'on est en vacances!! Notre hôte a été très accueillant et avait prévu un panier de fruits, du café, des boissons... Très appréciable... tout comme la souplesse pour les horaires d'arrivée et de départ. Sinon, ce n'est pas simple de se balader à Barcelone avec ses bagages! Mais le vrai plus de cet appartement, c'est sa situation: à 3 minutes d'une station métro, à 3 stations des Ramblas, à 15 minutes à pied du port, tout près de rues de bar à tapas, une boulangerie top pas loin. Bref, il était très rapide de se rendre au centre ville. Nous recommandons vivement cet appartement et remercions encore notre hôte pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité.

Très bon accueil et bonne situation

Situé à 1min à peine du métro (qui lui-même se trouve sur une ligne stratégique), moi et mes 4 amies étions servis dans cet appartement ! Nous avons aussi beaucoup aimer l’accueil puisqu'on a eu droit à un bon ravitaillement avec des fruits et beaucoup de jus, de quoi être prête face aux fortes chaleur. Francesco était toujours prêt en cas de problèmes ou de questions, et l'appartement en lui-même est vraiment très sympas, la climatisation nous a fait oublié la chaleur et même le clic-clac est très confortable !

Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo con noi e la casa è molto accogliente, attrezzata di ogni cosa, pulita. Comodissima alla metro, ai negozi e ai locali per mangiare all'aperto. Quando torneremo a Barcellona la prenoteremo di nuovo!

Apartamento em prédio antigo, mas com o interior remodelado. Com todos os equipamentos necessários, mas alguns a precisarem de ser substituídos. Aquando da reserva as respostas eram dadas muito tarde ou ficavam sem resposta, mas após a nossa chegada o diálogo foi fácil, pessoas simpáticas e deram-nos flexibilidade no horário de check in, uma vez que o nosso voo chegava muito cedo. Excelente localização, a 5 minutos do metro "Poble sec" rápido a chegar a todos os pontos turísticos. Confeitarias, mini mercados, lojas diversas junto ao apartamento. Recomendo.
