Our apartment - number 469 is a ground floor fully air conditioned 2 bed, 2 bath apartment with free WiFi in Balaia Golf Village. 10 minute walk to beach. Comfortable lounge with 2 sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed.
The gardens of the village are beautifully landscaped with mature pine and cork oak trees.
There are 6 swimming pools to choose from. 4 tennis courts. A Health Club with indoor pool, gym etc (extra payable) and Restaurant with bar are all close to the apartment, as is the Reception. Balaia's own 9 hole par 3 golf course is ideal for practising your short game and has a lovely clubhouse with bar and restaurant.
In the summer there is a Kid's Club - bookable and payable at Reception.
A small supermarket is just around the corner and several local restaurants are within walking distance.
Championship golf courses all along the Algarve are easily reached by car.
Minimum age for check in - must be at least one person aged 18 or over. The Apartment -
There is a large lounge/dining room with smart tv with International channels, a dvd player and patio doors to the terrace which overlooks a grassy area. 2 sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed. Fully equipped kitchen with electric cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, juicer, blender and coffee maker. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite). Utility area with washing machine and tumble drier. Iron and ironing board provided. Also many books, dvds and beach toys available. 2 sun loungers with cushions and a table umbrella provided. The nearest swimming pool is approx 50m away.
There is a Health Club with indoor pool and gym although there is an extra charge to use this.
The apartment is Non-smoking although you can smoke outside on the terrace.

A car is useful to make the most of the Algarve but is not essential. There is a small supermarket just around the corner - 1 minute walk! The beach is within walking distance - approx 10 minute walk and there are a number of Portuguese restaurants within walking distance as well - again about 10 minutes away. Parking is available outside the apartment. Taxis can be booked through Balaia Reception or Uber and Bolt taxis are available as well. There is a bus route along the road outside Balaia Golf Village.

Other things to note
Check in is at Balaia Reception which is open 8am - midnight. It has previously been open 24 hours a day and it may revert to this in the future.

Check out cleaning is included. Also for stays of 2 weeks or more there will be mid-stay cleaning and change of linen.
Prices include IVA (VAT). Albufeira Municipality now charge a tourist tax of €2 per night for a maximum of 7 nights for anyone aged 13 years and over payable on checking in between April and October. This should be paid on arrival using the link provided. Balaia Golf Village operates the Portuguese 'Clean and Safe' policy.
