Garry is the most attentitive owner we have found. The property is understated and was far more comfortable than we were expecting The grounds around the pool were nice and quiet and secluded and the views of the surrounding country side and the sea was spectacular. The 20 min walk into town was easy and very pleasent with the added bonus of being able to get an Uber back for 5 eurosTavia is a gem with lots of old architecture , great restaurants and hidden places waitng to be discovered

All in all we had a great time

Location is beautiful and pretty close to everything since restaurants to the Tavira center and shiopping. You can expect quiet days and a beautiful landscape with some friendly cats always near. Using the pool is very peaceful since everybody respects whoever is using it and the needed distance. Regarding the house, it needs some improvements but nothing serious. Air Conditioning in all rooms would be a plus but there are plenty of fans that helps with the heat. Kitchen is small but you can cook there, tough some appliances need an update as well as the SOS kit in the kitchen. Cleaning needs improvement. Lots of dust below the couches (I even found a puzzle piece there). Satellite TV wasn't the best for us since we are portuguese and we missed some portuguese channels, specially for news, but we managed to entertain ourselves. Comunication with both owner and real estate agents was awesome and this is a big big plus, since they try to meet all of our expectations. I do recommend this villa and I hope to go back next year :)

A urbanização é simpática e o espaço envolvente também, a zona da piscina calma e muito proxima da casa. A casa precisa de manutenção, nomeadamente a cozinha. A zona do barbecue só tem saída pelo quarto do meio o que não é muito agradável. A casa só tem ar condicionado no último quarto. De uma forma geral a estadia foi agradável no entanto acho que há aspectos da casa que podem ser mais cuidados.

A localização é muito boa para quem procura umas férias reposantes. No entanto, a casa é apresentada como tendo ar condicionado mas não é isso que acontece, apenas tem no quarto do último andar... Também as espreguiçadeiras não se encontram em bom estado de utilisação, estão partidas, mas o serviço de manutenção disse que iriam repor novas... A cozinha dispõe de todos os eletrodomésticos necessários! Boa estadia no geral, recomendo !

What a hit!!

Have returned home after 8 wonderful weeks in Tavira, Portugal. This house is beautifully situated on a hill just outside Tavira. The view from the house and especially from the large terrace a habitable upstairs is breathtaking. Cozy Tavira is within walking distance and there you will find everything you could wish for as grocery stores, restaurants, cafes and other shopping. The house is nice, well planned, well equipped and fits all family configurations. Here you can cozy together both inside, on the terrace or outside by the pool. The host couple are helpful, caring and very committed to making the stay in the house as pleasant as possible. Simply wonderful people to have contact with! If we were to return to Portugal we would certainly rent this house again! So you who are looking for a safe, secure and very pleasant accommodation in Portugal for your holiday can stop looking now - you have found it here and now !! The Landström family

Lovely relaxing holiday

This property has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It is a 25 minute walk into Tavira town which is ok on the way into town but a bit difficult on the way back as it's uphill and difficult if you're walking back in the dark. The pool and surrounding area were quiet when we where there in mid to late September. Overall a pleasant stay.

Comfortable House, great location

Our 3rd visit to Tavira and first experience of the Alto do Perogil estate. The house is very comfortable and well equipped both in and outside. The Balcony and BBQ are great alternatives to eating out in the evening. The pool area was quiet and the shade provided by the trees made for a very relaxing way to idle away a few hours. The walk in to Tavira is around 20 - 25 minutes and all downhill. The villa management company was very efficient and accommodating as were Garry & Beverly the owners. Will definitely consider returning when we next visit Taviara

Peaceful and Well Appointed Property near Pretty Town

My friends and I enjoyed a five day stay at this comfortable property. Tavira is a lovely town and we walked to the local beach. Some of us swam - we were very lucky with the weather. We had everything we needed in the villa and the local reps were very helpful. Highly recommended - many thanks!

The house beautifully located but transport essential in my opinion. The house is in need of decorating but expected this at the end of a holiday season. The oven is not great and all 6 of us found the mattresses very hard which is normal for Portugal. Now the good bits. Beautiful grounds and pool area. Stunning views from the terrace. The agents and owner were absolutely lovely and were very helpful. Overall a very nice place to stay. Recommend Barril beach, cabanas, tavira town and bridges are lovely. We hired a router for €40 which we collected at airport and worked brilliantly. Thank you to agents especially who gladly printed our boarding passes for return journey.

Ideal for a large family or 3 couples.

Although we had rain most of the time we were there, we were three couples that enjoyed ourselves both in the villa and in the town. We were close enough to walk downtown or get a taxi within the standard "10 to 15 minutes". It took one morning to arrange sound signals for showering which is something only one person can do at a time. Since we were there for five days, a clothes drier would have been a plus especially considering the weather. After the "shock" of not having internet, we bought a wifi "dongle" on our first morning shopping outing and managed to stay in touch with the rest of the world. Thanks to the very accommodating owner who gave us much advice and information before our arrival and his team in Tavira who assisted us in having a hot meal on our arrival, getting taxis from and to the station and general information. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to get into the pool but we did manage to wet our toes on the beach. It was a vacation to remember and bring us back to Portugal.

This was a lads golf trip and we played some outstanding courses all within 15 minute drive. Easy walk into town at night and cheap taxi ride back. Fantastic location and we will be back

Beautiful house in a lovely quinta overlooking Tavira. Nice pool with shade and plenty of peace and quiet. Easy downhill walk into the incredible town of Tavira. Real old town Portugal with authentic bars, restaurants and shops. Great beaches only 10 minutes drive, 5 euro taxi or a few minutes on the ferry from centre of town. We'll be back...with the kids!

Ideal villa in a beautiful development

Arrived in Faro in gorgeous sunny weather. 25 minutes transfer to this lovely villa close to Tavira town centre. Attractive development with shared pool right outside with some trees offering much needed shade. Well equipped kitchen, nice lounge and ideal roof terrace. Beautiful beaches in the area including Tavira (reached by ferry on the river in town) and Barril (narrow gauge railway). Several very nice meals in Tavira and surrounding area. There was a festival in progress on arrival with free concerts and many tents along the riverside selling local produce. There was a real buzz about the place. Thoroughly enjoyed our trip.

We are just an ordinary, professional, middle-England family living in Retford, Nottinghamshire very close to Robin Hood and his famous Sherwood Forest. Garry has turned 50+, works as a self employed consultant to the retail motor trade, a business he has been in since 1979. Beverley is a company secretary/accountant for a small computer networking company in Newark. It is a little 'outrageous' to share Bev's age here, but she is aged between 35 and 50 (she regularly tells us!). Harry graduated in Graphics Design and now lives in London, working at Cosmopolitan magazine.

We all love Portugal and are very proud of our villa - we hope that all our many guests, some regular clients returning year after year, love the villa and Tavira as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

We had been holidaying in the Algarve (normally the West like most folks) for the previous 10 years and we just kept coming back to Portugal, because it felt like our 'home from home!'

We loved the place, the people, the climate, the food, the golf, the beaches and the whole thing so much, we thought 'why don't we try and buy our own place in the Algarve?' We hooked up with some Estate Agents in the Eastern Algarve, and the brochure we liked the best right from the start turned out to be our villa - the one you're looking at now! We absolutely loved Tavira and Alto do Perogil locations as soon as we arrived here.

It's a bit of 'Older' Portugal than the Western or Central Algarve - a bit slower paced. Our villa is great for family holidays and Golfers, Walkers alike. Come and see!

What makes this property unique

We're only 25 minutes from Faro Airport. Our Villa sits at the top of one of the highest points in Tavira - looking down on the town, seaside and hills to the rear. The views are stunning, and eating lunch or BBQ dinner on the 1st Floor Terrace is not to be missed! T

The Pool is larger than on most complexes. The grounds are especially lovely and 'pitching' for a day in the sun is such a wonderful pleasure here. We are literally only a few paces from the pool, and we do pride ourselves on providing the best available Sun Loungers for our guests.

Walking into Tavira of an evening is all downhill and a very pleasant tree-lined walk - the Bistro restaurants are excellent and so our advice would be - take a taxi back up that hill - it's great value at only 4-5 Euros!
