Villa Amarela: Stunning Villa; Private Pool, Garden, AC & WIFI: Summer/Winter.

Ideal for families & golfers, in summer AND winter. Our lovely villa called 'Amarela' has 4 bedrooms, 2 en-suite, the modern, well equipped and spacious kitchen opens out into the dining area and then into a beautifully furnished lounge, complete with WiFi, flat screen satellite TV and PS2. The living area is surrounded by patio doors for a great pool and garden view, as well as easy access to outdoor life. 3 bedrooms open out onto a full length balcony overlooking the pool. A small balcony overlooks the cobbled square; an added bonus is the roof terrace which has a view of the sea and hills beyond. The patios surrounding Amarela have been furnished for outdoor dining, an evening glass of wine as well as the classic BBQ. The gardens include an orange and lemon tree, a banana plant and a soft grass lawn ideal for children to play on. The villa is decorated and furnished to the highest standard, with hand-painted pictures throughout the bedrooms and living area. The Wifi TV means you get to watch the channels and listen to your radio stations from home as well as connect your devices to stay in touch with the outside world, if you want to. In the evenings, you can switch the pool lights on to enjoy a relaxing night on the patio with the atmosphere to boot.
You can enjoy a walk down to the Marina where you will find great places to drink, eat and watch the world go by. From there, it's just a short hop over the foot bridge into the old town of Lagos with its cobbled streets and Roman walls -
still more eateries, shops and things to do.
Amarela is definitely a place to enjoy living and relaxing in.

Amazing villa in a great location

Jenny's villa is in a great location, a short drive or walk to the Marina. Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, it's an ideal place for a short or long-term stay, with great outdoor space to relax in the sunshine. A selection of drinks and food were waiting for us when we arrived - a very thoughtful and appreciated gesture. Jenny was very easy to get in touch with and extremely helpful when we had any questions. Highly recommended.

Jenny is a real great host. The communication was real good and we got all informations before our trip. The villa is very close to the city. We took an uber or our car to get to the city. Also a supermarket was very close. We had a great trip and enjoyed Portugal.

Fantastic villa in Lagos

We have been renting villas for our summer holidays for several years and I can say that Jenny's villa was the best yet. It had plenty of room for the nine of us and a wonderful pool. The sheets were changed and the pool cleaned after our 1st week and the gardener attended to the garden on a couple of occasions. Jenny is very quick to respond to any queries or requests. Overall a wonderful holiday in a fantastic property.

The Villa is an excellent holiday home, close to beach and town, though I recommend taxi if you walk back in the dark :-) and your own pool. Our young more or less lived in the pool when we were chilli'n around the Villa. And just hanging around would hav been enough for us. Communication with Jenny was effortless and to the point. Amazing area, polite people and a lot to see and Villa Amarela was really nice home away from home. Thanks for a great Holiday

This place is amazing! It is perfectly located a 5min drive to Meia Praia, 10 mins to downtown Lagos and walking distance to Algarve Watersports (for kiting, wakeboarding and the like).Kitchen is well equipped, dining table seats 10 - great for a family holiday. Charcoal BBQ right next to kitchen. Washerdryer made family laundry easy.Rooms were comfortable and there was one more than I thought (there is a master suite downstairs, a master suite upstairs and two twin rooms upstairs with a shared bathroom).Great outdoor spaces - rooftop deck, 1st floor deck, pool deck and grassy area for kids to play.Wifi works great in living room - we were able to do work calls as needed.Would return!

Tout depuis le début était positif que ce soient les contacts avant d'arriver avec Jenny (la propriétaire), Isabel (la gestionnaire sur place), très sympa panier d'accueil, TV avec toutes les chaînes et Netflix, toutes les bonnes adresses de restaurants et autres activités ... bref, un très bon séjour... villa en ligne avec la description et les photo's , entretiens réguliers (nettoyage et changement des serviettes et des draps), toutes les commodités nécessaires - A RECOMMANDER VIVEMENT! Un peu plus de soleil aurait été le bienvenu - séjour Janvier/Février 2024 -

A lovely villa

We rented this villa for a holiday with our two daughters, their partners and our young grandson and we had a great time. We loved the location, in a quiet area on a hill just outside Lagos town. We drove from Faro but one of our daughters chose to take the train and they really enjoyed the journey; the track runs along the side of Meia Praia beach ending at Lagos Marina. From there it is a 15 minute walk up the hill to the villa. It is a steep hill and the walk down is faster! The villa is very nicely presented and well equipped for 8 people with a good sized pool (heated by solar panels) ........and the satellite TV with DVD player was very useful for our grandson! We really appreciated the welcome pack of provisions and the pile of beach towels left for our use. Although we had a car we chose to walk locally, into Lagos town via the marina or to the nearby Meia Praia beach (6Km of lovely sand). However, the car was very useful for visits to the Pingo supermarket a few minutes drive away and for trips further afield. The owners were very good at answering our questions and providing information prior to our visit, and there were well organised folders of information in the villa when we arrived. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings.

Our beautiful villa is owned by 2 families; friends since childhood, based in North West England. I'm Jenny and have Ronnie & Mary aged 7 and 5. Cath & Phil have Francesca & Will aged 15 and 13. They are growing up absolutely loving their annual holidays back at Amarela, getting to catch up with the friends and beach restaurant owners we've got to know over the years and taste some amazing fresh, local dishes they wouldn't get at home. The fact both families go back each year, at least once is testament to the love of the place and enjoyment we get from the villa and region. I love travelling into the mountains around Monchique, eating some of the local pork dishes, tasting the local, amazing wine up there. Cath, Phil and children love visiting all the different beaches and water parks. Phil comes every year without fail for a lads golfing trip. March & April as well as October/November are very under-rated months to visit this region; it's a lovely temperature and seeing the different seasons coming into effect is a joy.

Why they chose this property

Phil and Cath had been travelling to Lagos for years and I'd never been before. I'd wanted to invest in a holiday home, as did Phil and Cath, so when I headed out to Lagos, realised how friendly the community was, the type of warm, decent tourists the place attracted, the great food culture at great prices - and not forgetting the number of beautiful towns, villages and variety of beaches along the Algarve coast, I was hooked. It reminded me of Spain from years and years ago with all its charm.
Our villa was a new build when we bought it and it's on a lovely residential 'close' with 69 villas, overlooking the fields and other lovely villas. It's very peaceful and safe and we have such friendly neighbours. It's also so easy to get from Faro airport, in about 45 minutes which makes it hassle free.

What makes this property unique

First things first, I drop my suitcase and head straight to the supermarket, Pingo's 3 minutes drive away to stock up on provisions. The fact it's so close is wonderful so once we've stocked up, I can then get my swimming gear on and relax with some lunch, a drink & my book by the pool.

The fact we've got wifi TV and radio means I don't have to miss out on any shows I'm watching at the time, or a bit of Radio 2, Classic FM or Heart for some good music whilst on holiday.
We have excellent maid, pool cleaning & gardening services for the villa so it really does feel like a proper break. It really is a villa which fills with sunshine and feels like a total break from the real world.
Restaurants & bars are only 10 mins walk away when you want to head out & about, so there's the best of both worlds on your doorstep.
