Villa Theos is located in Lakithra meaning beautiful view and the villa is surrounded by olive trees and vines whilst set in an elevated position enjoying stunning views of Argostili Bay and the surrounding mountains.

It is only a ten minute drive from the airport, but shielded from the flight path. The island’s capital Argostili with its numerous shops, bars, restaurants and facilities is also only a 15 minute drive from the villa.

Villa Theos is just a short walk away from the village's tavernas, bars, bakery and shops and Carrefour and Lidl food stores are just a short drive. If you love the sand and sea then you will be no more than a ten minute drive from some of the island's best beaches such as Avithos, Ammes, Minnies and Makris Gialos.

Villa Theos offers a high standard of accommodation. The air-conditioned property comprises a large open pklan kitchen/dining living area with 2 French doors leading on to a covered veranda with rattan loungers and a range of sunbeds and deck chairs arranged around the private pool. In addition the garden features an alfresco dining area with BBQ. The garden area is well stocked and amongst the abundance of flowers there are numerous fruit trees and herbs all of which are available to guests when in season.

The modern kitchen is fully fitted along with a dining area for 6 people. The spacious living room has 2 sofas one of which is a sofa bed. A separate toilet is also available on the ground floor.

Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms; one double and one twin bedded and both with en-suite shower and toilet. Both bedrooms have a veranda with stunning views over the mountains and Bay of Argostoli and are furnished to provide a tranquil alternative whether enjoying breakfast, tea or that early evening glass of wine.

Villa Theos offers plenty to keep you occupied including a selection of books, games and DVDs in addition to a Wii and smart TV should you wish to stream your favourite programmes. Free wifi is provided should you wish to remain connected during your stay.

There are now flights from the UK 6 days of the week from various airports,check Skyscanner and On the Beach websites. Ryanair, Thomson and Easyjet are amongst the airlines that fy to Kefalonia, or you can fly al days of the week from Athens. There is a ferry from Brindisi, Italy
direct to Kefalonia during July & August and ferries from Italy via other islands and mainland Greece during other months.

Some of our guests have enjoyed 2 centre holidays, staying at Villa Theos then staying in the North of the island, perhaps Sami, Assos or Fiscardo.

Relaxation at its best

If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a gorgeous villa then Villa Theos is the place for you. It was just the break my friend and I were looking for. The villa is perfect for both friends and families and would recommend to anyone who wants a lovely holiday in Kefalonia.

Perfect family holiday

The villa is very clean and modern. Amanda has installed lovely new furniture in the Villa and around the pool area, and added some of her beautiful art work to the walls. There were lots of books and DVD's and even a WII! The pool area is gorgeous and the lovely new furniture made for a very comfortable stay. The dramatic backdrop of Cephalonia's beautiful mountains and the view down to the sea was wonderful. The pool and villa was cleaned on a regular basis, and the villa was well equipped. There was even a box of inflatables and beach games for the kids! The position of the villa meant that we had a lovely breeze most of the time we were there. The area is quiet and peaceful, but still enough to do in the evening if you want to stay local or the capital is only a 10 minute taxi ride. All in all a lovely family holiday. Thanks Amanda! x

Excellent Villa, returned 3 years in a row!

This is an excellent villa within a great location. I have returned 3 years in a row. It holds sentimental value as this is where me and my fiancée proposed and we use it every year to enjoy a relaxing week in the sun. It's in a great location with one of the best cake shops just around the corner (I normally have a different flavoured ice cream every day) and many restaurants within a 10 minute drive. Clean on arrival and kept clean throughout the week by a lovely lady called Debbi who can give you hints and tips on where to go. Pool is clean and refreshing on the hot days. Our favourite beaches are Avithos and Lassi being a 10 minute and 15 minute drive away. Our favourite activity is seeing the turtles in Argostoli harbour enjoying an early breakfast. I always recommend Villa Theos to a friends and have taken family members with us who have also enjoyed it. James and Amanda are a wealth of knowledge and I have found that they would help out with as much information as they can provide of where their favourite restaurants are and where they recommend! Looking forward to heading back next year and thinking about using it for a relaxing week after our wedding!

Brilliant out of season holiday

Perfect place to stay out of season - Lakithra doesn't close down and everything we needed was within walking distance - mini-market, bakery, bars, tavernas. The neighbours were wonderful too - Annie & Gareth - who help maintain the property. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely views and pretty gardens meant staying at the villa was a treat too.

Had a wonderful short stay couldn’t fault it at all as villa just to my liking and excellent location close to airport and Other lovely resorts. Enjoyed the local tavernas and the neighbours Annie and her husband were amazing! Will never forget the kindness they showed us and even bought me a bottle of Prosecco for my birthday and to celebrate both my daughter’s graduations ❤️ Also gave us freshly squeezed orange juice and olives from their garden. Thankyou 🤗 Best part of villa is the plum tree in the garden, absolutely divine 😋 I would definitely like to book to stay there again in the future, beautiful villa and James the owner was brilliant in checking all was well and providing all the instructions prior to arrival and a follow up call afterwards. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else really if the villa was available for my dates. Look forward to our return 🙏😊

Heavenly Villa!

This villa was so convenient for the airport and it was super to get off the plane and 30 mins later find ourselves settled into a gorgeous villa and in the pool! Fabulous views over the harbour and mountains and wonderful balconies to relax in the evening! A lovely experience for our family on our first trip abroad and so many gorgeous beaches to visit framed by incredible mountains. The local village has everything you need and was authentically greek. A wonderful place to stay.

Beautiful villa, perfect location

We had a fabulously relaxing stay at beautiful villa Theos and would highly recommend it to future guests. Not only is it in a perfect, peaceful location( only noise was the sound of wildlife or the dreamy sound of goat bells ringing as they walked past)but it is well equipped with everything you would need and both villa and pool was kept immaculately clean throughout our stay. The villa is a short, easy drive from airport, shops,beautiful beaches and is in a great location to explore the island. Communication with James and Amanda was easy and they were very helpful and knowledgeable about the island, offered great advice on where to eat/drink, best places to visit and snorkel! so many holiday highlights but the snorkelling in Assos and relaxing by the private pool in the beautiful garden with stunning views are our favourite memories. Just wonderful!

Piece of heaven

This is our second stay at Theo’s so knew what to expect. If you want piece and quiet look no further. The village itself has four restaurants, one being a pizza with delivery the other a grill which delivers and a fab cake shop. For a wider choice a drive to Argostoli will offer you much more. Personally we like the little stroll in the village. Happy Days

The villa was beautiful! Really spacious with practical, comfortable furniture and all the appliances worked really well. It was clean and easy to navigate. The views over the mountains and out to sea were gorgeous from the patio and balconies and gave great sunset views. Many a lovely lazy hour was spent by the pool. All the people we met either maintaining the house or just in the local area were really friendly and helpful with advice and everyone helping us organise our house and trip were really swift to respond to enquiries and give valuable information. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt very welcome. Many thanks.

The villa was really lovely. Well equipped with lots of space indoors and out. The location was perfect for us being really quiet but not too far from local shops and restaurants and a short drive from Argostoli. The views down to the sea were to die for . We were very well looked after and would thoroughly recommend Villa Theos.

The perfect honeymoon

My wife and I have been coming to Villa Theos for 4 years, and hopefully many more. It is always as described and well cared for. It is always clean and well maintained both by Debbie (who does the villa) and Kieth (who does the pool). The private pool was perfect for those days where we had a heatwave and the aircon was just as good! Most nights we would end up outside enjoying the views as there is loads of space just to relax. It's very close to a few supermarkets, bakery, restaurants that life is nice and easy while you are out there. Easy driving to some amazing beaches and the Capital, Argostolli, where we went most mornings to have coffee and see the turtles. We have returned every year. This is where we became engaged, and even had our honeymoon. We will always recommend this Villa. There is not much I can add ontop of the other reviews apart from I have found that if you have any questions or need any recommendations on where to go or what to do, James and Amanda are always extremely helpful!

A wonderful peaceful relaxing retreat

Fab villa and pool both kept Imaculate, everything you would need for your stay. If you want peace and quiet villa Theos is a perfect location, the only sound you will hear are the goats passing outside Theos with the charming tinkling of the bells they have around their necks, typical village life. The small village itself has a well stocked mini market a Fab to die for cake shop and three restaurants all dishing up in our opinion a good choice. Our highlight of the stay was booking Viva, a personal chef. You can book her online, it was the best top restaurant style food we have ever eaten and you don't have to do a thing. Viva even cleans and puts everything away. We tried to book her the second week but she was fully booked catering to all villas. If you want special reasonably priced pampering book Viva. We have already made a booking for Theos next year and hopefully get Viva your personal chef for a special holiday villa treat

Amazing Villa great location

What a beautiful Villa, we arrived late at night after a 10 minute transfer via taxi to arrive at Villa Theos and it was magical. The villa was clean tidy and extremely well equipped, the pool was cleaned very regularly as was the villa. Lakithra is an ideal base to explore the island and very handy for the airport. We particularly enjoyed the hospitality from The Intenational taverna in Laithra and returned there on our last night. We had excellent contact with James and Amanda prior to our visit and therefore had a very straightforward arrival. We highly recommend Penfanis car hire who delivered our car to the villa. Our favourite beach was Avithos, Myrtos beach is a must see, Argostoli for evening meal, ferry to Lixouri, yellow boat hire from village of Agia Effimia was our favourite day out. We will certainly be returning and would most definitely recommend beautiful Villa Theos, Thank You James & Amanda.

Fabulous villa!

Exactly as described on the web site. Fabulous villa and pool. Obviously cared for and loved. Air con really efficient and sooo welcome as we had a heatwave. Plenty of seating areas outside. Clean pool and Keith the pool man a great help for directions to good beaches! We have stayed in many villas and this has to be one of the best. Easy drive to beaches, supermarkets and Argostoli. The local baker and tavernas so friendly and homely. The village supermarket deliver if you take up your order - all free and with a smile! Would have no hesitation in recommending the villa and Amanda the owner very helpful.

The perfect space for our stay

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Theos, and would like to extend our thanks to Amanda and James. The villa is well equipped, clean and welcoming. The house itself was perfect for us as two couples travelling together with two ensuite bedrooms and plenty of seating areas, inside and around the pool. The cleaning that was completed during our stay was to a high standard and the views from the balconies of the bedrooms was just beautiful... the perfect thing to wake up to! I would certainly consider returning.

Just perfect!

A fabulous 2 weeks in the beautiful Villa Theos. For us, the holiday ticked ALL the boxes - a very well equipped and comfortable villa, immaculate private pool, idyllic peaceful location, within easy walking distance of good eating places & bars, most everyday needs available in the village, only 10 minutes to Argostoli and the airport (but no aircraft noise), the list goes on......... We particularly enjoyed our leisurely breakfasts by the pool with its extensive views over the mountains & sea, and the several places to relax in either sun or shade at different times of the day. Also, if you have a sweet tooth like me don't miss the cake shop! My wife also highly recommends the Martinis in George's Bar. There's not much we can add to previous reviews, and have no hesitation in highly recommending Villa Theos to future guests. Many thanks to Amanda & James for allowing us the use of their beautiful villa.

Absolutely Beautiful

Our stay at Villa Theos was simply not long enough, we had the most wonderful holiday. Everything was perfect, from the well appointed, beautifully maintained and spacious villa to Kefalonia itself. The villa is in a great location in the village of Lakithra with several restaurants, two bars, a mini market, bakery and cake shop. We ate at all of the restaurants and the food and service was excellent, particularly at the International Restaurant and Grill Restaurant where portions are huge and very reasonably priced. We loved Georges Bars for a cocktail on our way back to the villa. We had great days out to the beautiful Klismata beach, to the capital Argostoli where we saw the sea turtles and took the ferry to Lixouri. We had great days at the villa too relaxing by the pool and enjoying the sounds of the wildlife and church bells and nothing else! Everything about the villa is brilliant our teenagers enjoyed their holiday as much as we did and we will most definitely be back soon but for two weeks next time!

Fabulous villa in a beautiful location

We had a brilliant holiday in the excellent Villa Theos. Villa was spotless and comfortable with beautiful furnishings and everything you need for a great holiday. Debbie was very helpful with any information we required, cleaning girls do a great job as does Keith keeping pool very clean. Lakithra is a lovely village where you can walk to a few restaurants and a couple of bars. We enjoyed the International restaurant best. The small mini market has everything you require with lovely helpful staff, Lidel is only 5 minutes drive for any further supplies. The whole island is beautiful and a car allows you to travel around the different towns and villages. Loved Argostoli which was a ten minute drive or taxi. James and Amanda were very informative and helpful with all information and I would like to thank them for allowing us to stay in their gorgeous home with beautiful views. We will definitely return. Fabulous villa

Beautiful villa, everything necessary for a brilliant holiday was provided. The outside space was amazing with lots of different seating areas to catch the sun at different times of the day including table & chairs, sun beds & seating in a sheltered area for cooler days. Just a few minutes walk to the village with a couple of tavernas & bars, a bakers, cake shop & mini market. Lovely pool although too cold to use much in May, would be better when it warms up later in the summer.

We are James and Amanda and live in England with our 2 dogs and 2 cats and have 5 adult children. We enjoyed our first holiday together in Kefalonia in 2007 and fell in love with this beautiful island immediately and married here in 2009. We have been very fortunate to aquire a small piece of this lovely island having bought Villa Theos in May 2014. We have made numerous improvements to the property and are very happy with the very positive feedback we've received from our guests. It's our wish that all those who stay at Villa Theos enjoy a very special holiday and leave with lasting and happy memories of this island and their time in Lakithra.

Why they chose this property

Villa Theos is set in the beautiful village of Lakithra. You are only a short drive from everything you need from supermarkets, beaches, the main town of Argostoli. The Villa itself has spectacular views down the valley towards Argostoli beach on the one side and Mount Enos and St Georges Castle on the other.

The Village of Lakithra is home to the local bakery and has its own cake shop. There are four local restaurants to choose from one of which (En Kefalinia) uses organic produce grown on the premises. Georges bar which is only a five minute walk from the villa serves great cocktails.

Argostoli is only a short drive (15 mins) from the villa and has plenty to offer in the way of bars and restaurants. Kefalonia is not a destination for seasoned clubbers, nor will you find high rised hotel complexes on the island. If you want to experience the Greek traditions and culture then Kefalonia will deliver it in spades.

From Villa Theos you can drive to Fiscado in less than 2 hours, but well worth the visit as it is picturesque venetian port and one of the few places on Kefalonia not to have been destroyed in the 1953 earthquake. Beaches, caves, vinyards, castles, roman ruins and monestaries are all within a short drive from Lakithra and wherever you decide to go you'll find the journey there as magnificent as the destination.

There are some great beaches close by but Avithos beach is a particularly long sandy beach which has two great tavernas and a beach bar. Some of the best local wines are served in the upper of the two tavernas.

Our villa manager (Debbie) and our pool cleaner (Keith) are available to help make your stay as comfortable as possible. They have a wealth of local knowledge whether you are looking for something to eat, see or do and many of our guests have been very appreciative.

What makes this property unique

Villa Theos is a lovely proportioned villa, both bedrooms have en-suites and balcony's from which you can enjoy the spectacular views across the olive groves down to Argostoli.

The villa is only a 10 minute drive from the airport which means you can be enjoying your holiday so much more quickly but being in Lakthra also means you don't get any flight disturbance.

During your stay you'll almost certainly be treated to the sounds of Greece - the local goat heards being moved from field to field and the musicality of the local church bells.

Since buying the property we've added an additional patio area and pergola which provides a lovely alfresco dining area for use throughout the day.
