Stunning sea and mountain views and all day sunshine, which can be enjoyed on either of the 2 large and private terraces. The apartment comprises of a huge and secure lower terrace, which provides a perfect space for barbecuing, outdoor dining and sunbathing. The large and airy open plan living space has a wonderful view overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, a fully fitted kitchen, a dining area and large leather sofas. A hallway leads to bedroom and bathroom. The master bedroom with its en suite bathroom and the upper terrace are located on the second floor. This terrace is particularly ideal for private sunbathing. The apartment provides a perfect holiday for those who enjoy the comforts of modern living in a stunning, get away from it all location.

Wonderful holiday

Extrem gut gelegenes Appartment, wenn man schnell zum Piedra Playa oder einfach nur zum Hafen möchte. Dass der Supermarkt um die Ecke ist, macht es noch einfacher.

Schöne Wohnung

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt in El Cotillo sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist schön, vor allem die beiden Terassen und der Ausblick. Insgesamt ist die Wohnungen etwas in die Jahre gekommen, es ist aber alles sauber. Wie hier bereits schon oft erwähnt, können wir nicht verstehen, warum es kein Zubehör zum Spülen gibt, oder ein paar Dinge um die Wohnung während des Aufenthalts sauber zu halten. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war super, wir konnten früher anreisen und auch bei Problemen mit dem DVD Player wurde uns sofort geholfen.

Perfect place to stay in El Cotillo

So nice to wake up to the sun coming up over the mountains each day. Johns place is just perfect, clean, tidy and spacious. The outside areas are such a bonus and are the best we have stayed in so far, in over 10 years that we have been going to Fuerteventura. Our only point would be to say that the beds/ pillows for us weren’t the comfiest. Would definitely recommend and would love to rent it again one day.

Best yet in all out times in el Cotillo

We’ve been to el Cotillo multiple times and spent lots of time there. This was the best experience we’ve had (and it’s normally great). We loved this apartment. Just felt right. The patios and facilities are amazing. It just help make a great holiday something special. Thanks to John and to his local rep Suka for being fabulous hosts.

Comodo y acogedor

El apartamento es espacioso, comodo y acogedor. Cerca de todo lo necesario. Dispone de bastante menaje y utensilios de cocina. Hemos estado comodos siendo 5 personas. Con vistas a mejorar diria que echamos de menos que la habitación principal tuviera puerta ya que todos los ruidos que se hagan en la cocina y salon se oyen perfectamente impidiendo el descanso.

We go to Fuerteventura a few times a year and stay in various properties around Lajares. First time we stayed in El Cotillo which we know very well. The property location is excellent and quiet. Both terraces are very private and views upstairs are stunning. We made the most of it during our stay. We didn't need the check in or help from the person onsite as John's instructions received prior to our trip were excellent and totally self explanatory especially as we know the area very well. The apartment was very spacious and even though some of fittings are a little outdated everything worked very well therefore this didn't bother us. The only comment I would like to make is there was nothing in the property such as condiments etc. All properties we have stayed in always have the minimum such as salt pepper handwash spare bin liners and such like! This is the only comment I can suggest which could have enhanced a very enjoyable week away.

Beautiful and relaxing

Great base to discover El Cotillo and all its charms. The property internally had everything you needed and was in very good condition throughout. Add to that the excellent two outdoor spaces, with all day sunshine, and you do have a great stay. And then there are the views to the mountains and the Atlantic. Superb. Definitely looking to return

Einfach GENIAL!

Wir haben das Appartement blitzblank übernommen. Die Küche ist gut eingerichtet, alles was es braucht ist vorhanden. Die zwei grossen Terrassen, die Aussicht auf das Meer und die Hügel ist perfekt. Wir fühlten uns wie im Einfamilienhaus. Einkaufen konnten wir im Supermarkt gleich um die Ecke. Obwohl das Appartement sehr zentral liegt, ist es sehr ruhig. Gefehlt hat uns ein Sonnenschutz auf den Terrassen. Gut wären auch einige Starters wie Kapseln für die Abwaschmaschiene, Putzlappen, Salz oder Zucker. Die Wohnung ist wirklich genial!

Traumhafte Wohnung mit Meerblick

Die Wohnung liegt zentral, trotzdem ruhig und hat zwei wunderschöne Terassen mit Liegen und Sitzgelegenheiten. Bei starkem Wind oder Regen ist man auf beiden Terassen jedoch ungeschützt. Beide Schlafzimmer mit bequemen Betten, Schrank und Kommode ausgestattet. Das obere Schlafzimmer mit direktem Zugang zur Dachterrasse und Bad ist traumhaft. Ein bischen schade war, dass es keine Grundausstattung (Spüli, Spültuch, Handseife etc.) gab und ein Handtuchwechsel in 7 Tagen auch nicht möglich war. Bei Problemen mit der Waschmaschine kam -nach vergeblichem telefonischen Klärungsversuch- die zugesagte Hilfe leider nicht wie angekündigt. Zum Glück gibt es direkt um die Ecke Einkaufsmögöichkeiten, um alles zu besorgen. Haben den Urlaub trotzdem sehr genossen und empfehlen die Wohnung gern weiter.

Mooie locatie voor een goede prijs

Heerlijk licht en ruim appartement, met zonnige terrassen en twee badkamers. Geweldig uitzicht over de zee en de bergen. Het keukengerei zou wel wat verbetering behoeven, zoals de koekenpannen die geen antiaanbaklaag meer hebben. Hier en daar werken ook sommige lampjes niet en de afzuigkap is niet werkend. De keukenverlichting kan ook beter. Het voelt ook gastvrijer als er handzeep en wat basic zaken aanwezig zijn, zoals olie, koffie, kruiden en afwasmiddel. Het was wel heel spaarzaam allemaal. Gelukkig is de supermarkt op loopafstand!

Schöner als es auf den Fotos wirkt

Das apartment hat wirklich einen genialen Ausblick und mit den 2 Terassen einfach sehr besonders, das kommt auf den Bildern leider nicht genug raus. Aww fehlten ein Par Basics in der Küche aber ansonsten sehr sauber und praktisch!

Why they chose this property

I first visited Fuerteventura with my family in 2002. During the holiday we travelled around the island and discovered El Cotillo, which felt like paradise. We then started to holiday in El Cotillo and fell in love with the village and its beaches. We had never been a family who returned to the same place for holidays, but when it came to El Cotillo we couldn’t help ourselves!

What makes this property unique

We were on holiday in El Cotillo over New Year in 2007and during our stay we decided to view some properties for sale. We wanted a holiday home that was large, modern and very comfortable and essentially it had to have lots of sunshine and ocean views. El Carmen is certainly the property we wanted – it really has all the comforts of modern living in a stunning location.
