Beautiful Property

My team and I came up for the Women’s Softball World Series and stayed at this amazingly beautiful house. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect. The house itself was exactly as shown in the pictures, the rooms were spacious, it was a short walking distance to the beach and just overall perfect! I would highly recommend this property to anyone with a large group.

Perfect stay on 30a

Rental was perfect for our family! Great location, public beach access is just across the street along with Goatfeathers & donut shop. Shaved ice, pizza & several other dining options walkable from the house. Ended up doing a delivery order from Walmart for groceries & necessities (extra TP, paper towels, etc) & worked out great. No trouble cooking a few meals in the kitchen, all the basics are available. We did run out of propane for the grill on our last night of stay but I finished the chicken in the oven & it was fine. There were chairs & an umbrella in the deck box outside the house though we did rent some chairs our first day of visit.

Convenience and Luxury

The house was beautiful and clean. We road our bikes everywhere. We walked across the street to the beach and the donut shop almost every morning. Goat Feathers seafood across the street is a must. My dad loved sitting on the front porch watching the kids play on the gated street. We had the best views of fireworks and ocean from the beautiful balconies. Can't wait to come back next year. We had three maintenance items during our stay that were fixed very quickly. Parking is a bit unrealistic with only two spots for a home that sleeps 12. And not sure the hardwoods downstairs were mopped. However, the location to the beach and restaurants, as well as the amount of room throughout the house were perfect for our stay!

Great Location

This rental was perfect for our group. The location is great. The house itself was clean upon arrival and the kitchen was well stocked. One bed was missing a cover and missing linens were dropped off on our second or third day. We had young kids in that room who didn’t know to tell us they were missing so not a huge deal. Check-in was super stressful as we were notified that the 4:00 check-in was completely dependent on the weather or not the rental company was done cleaning your unit. This was a problem for us as two of my guests were flying in and would be arriving at 4:30. Had I known the agency would possibly be ready as late as 7:00 pm I would not have rented from them. That’s an entire day gone. A day that you paid for. Check out was super early so that day is a waste of money too. We enjoyed our stay and there was plenty of room for 12. FYI the second floor bedroom that reads as twin beds is actually a full or Queen.

Mostly gracious, with a few drawbacks.

Mediterranean is a lovely and largely comfortable home with many nice details, but a few things keep me from giving it 5 stars, and really I'd like to give it 3.5. Most importantly, the wifi was terrible. When we contacted Blue Swell (the property management company) to address the problem, their default reply was to reboot the system, but that only made a small difference temporarily. We called again at midweek after multiple reboots and were told they'd "put it on the list," but no one ever came. Those of us who had telecommuting to do were unable to work effectively, and the bedroom TVs didn't work well either. Considering the rental rates for a building designed to accommodate a lot of people, this just wasn't acceptable. Another thing that may be useful to know is that the ceilings are high and the stairs are VERY steep. For some of us this was good exercise, but it was a challenge for others with mobility issues. It is not ADA compliant. The house came equipped with unadvertised bikes, which was a nice treat, but they were single speed and clunky. It inspired us to rent better bikes nearby, and we had a great time tooling around 30-A. The house is also equipped with about a billion decorative clocks - an interesting theme. Tempus fugit: enjoy your stay! The kitchen was pretty well equipped, but I would have happily traded the springform pans for a better cutting board and knives. The beds & bathrooms were very comfortable, and we liked the way the kitchen & dining area had a little separation from the living room area so those of us who wanted to get away from the TV could do so without being completely anti-social. Another reason to gravitate to the back of the house was the unexpected cat or dog fur on the LR furniture. The rental doesn't allow pets, but someone at some time had brought one in, and our allergic family member had a strong reaction. We were there in cold weather, so didn't get to enjoy the balconies. As a third floor occupant, I would have wished for a little refrigerator up there to better facilitate outdoor relaxation with libations without having to climb & down all those stairs for refills. All that said, however, it really was an otherwise comfortable and pleasurable beach house and we'd stay there again if the wifi improves.

I initially was not happy with this due to the fact it was not directly on the beach but this house more than made up for the inconvenience. It was well stocked, clean, and absolutely stunning inside and out. It was convenient to beach access and literally has an ice cream shop in the backyard. Beds were comfortable, water pressure, water taste, etc were all outstanding. My only complaint was that the information sent prior to stay stated that beach access was closed and this was not true as the information was outdated. Also, arrival information should state to utilize the back door with your code. Otherwise this house was perfect and the rental group kept regular communication up and was responsive to all questions.

Cousins Trip

We enjoyed the property a lot. There are a few things to note. The master bedroom does not cool very well and the master closet is also locked to guests. We had to use the other bedroom closet. Not a big deal because no one was in that room, but may be an issue otherwise. There is a leak under one of the sinks in the master bath. The light is out in the fridge and it doesn’t cool well. The outlet on the porch on the side of the house doesn’t work so we had to ask the neighbor to use his for our golf cart. There are a lot of stairs for some this may pose a problem. We had a wonderful time and would rent again in this neighborhood.

Short but quiet stay

This rental is a charming 3 story Spanish style house located just off of 30A. Each floor has 2 bedrooms with an en suite bathroom. However house smelled very musty as soon as we walked in. Check-in was easy, but the lock box is in the back and no key to the front door– a bit inconvenient since every time we left one of us had to lock the front door and go out the back. A few maintenance issues: AC was not working on the second floor and it became very warm and humid when sleeping, the toilets ran very slow and the water tasted funny, the house needs a water filter. The location is across the street from beach access and is close to Rosemary Beach and Seaside which we visited. It's also about a 20 minute drive to Destin. The house was well stocked but the appliances were old and a bit stingy on amenities. Just FYI, they also charged 250 for animal cleaning fee for my small non-shedding PSD for anyone renting with a service animal. A plus is that they let us in a few hours early, check in time is at 4:00. The manager was nice and replied quickly through text.
