Sleeps - 2. This beautifully secluded but not isolated semi detached cottage is full of character with a stunning 14m x 5m heated swimming pool (heated 1st July to 31 August).
Set in its own grounds of 3 hectares, surrounded by panoramic views of the rolling Limousin woodlands, forests and open meadows. It catches the amazing early morning sunrise and evening sunset. It is totally secluded, not another property in sight, bliss !

The cottage consists of a lounge with open views and glorious sunsets, a kitchen dining area with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, cooker, airconditioning unit and heating if required. Ensuite bedroom with shower, toilet and wash hand basin, towels provided.
Please note this cottage is not suitable for handicapped people as there are stairways of approximately 6 steps to each of the 2 levels. Immediately outside you have a covered terrace, there's is an outdoor seating area with a BBQ (charbon) and sunbeds provided, all enclosed in your private garden. Parking space.

The swimming pool area is partially enclosed with access to a small gym and further sunbeds and seating.

Your only neighbours are ourselves and we are very discreet.

This delightful peaceful property is reached by an enchanting path of 200m which can also lead you onto the local swimming lake Sagnat.

Lake Sagnet which can be reached direct from the property by 3 different woodland paths approximately 7kms round trip ideal for walkers, cyclists road and VVT, running, swimming, triathlete training, fishing is allowed around the lake , you do have to purchase a fishing permit ( request details )

Bessines sur Gartempe is a very pretty village approximately 5kms from the property where you have, restaurants, supermarkets, cafe/bars, bakers, butchers, banks and the motorway all within 6/7 minutes drive from the property and of course numerous markets througout the week in Bessines Sur Gartempe and the surrounding villages. Come the July 10th - 14th 2025 you have an added attraction of the Bandafolies festival, hugely popular with musical artistes, dancers, groupes etc from around the world and the firework display,

Fantastic holiday house

Great house with lots of space and areas outside to sit, drink eat and relax. The pool area was the standout, great size and games to play with pool and ping pong.. enough to keep the family amused all day :-) Thankyou !

June and Les were excellent hosts. We had 14 people stay at their farm house and it easily accommodated all of us with plenty of amenities and towels, bedding for all. This is like a little resort with outdoor games, a beautiful pool and so much space that we were not cramped for space. 5 star VRBO and would stay there again when visiting the area.

Great getaway for a quiet stay close to Paris

Such a lovely and entertaining place to get away from it all for a week. Great wifi and well equipped. Huge property and so much to explore, within the house, the grounds, and all around. The host, Houghes, was simply the best, most helpful, most accommodating host. We had some issues of our own and he bent over backwards to help us out. Always there with a helpful suggestion or to meet our needs. Many thanks.

Family gathering

Pool area and grounds are lovely. House was pleasant and characterful but bedrooms very hot and not air conditioned ( rather a heatwave). The property worked well for our varied ages. Kitchen was rather tired and aga and oven difficult to use. It would have been useful to have some basic instructions and information on the house, the area, refuse collection etc. The hosts were kind and were there when we arrived to show us round.

Family Holiday

We stayed here for a week in August 2024. The property was great - it was so good to be able to be together as a family in one place. The house is well equipped, particularly the kitchen which has plenty of anything you might need. The outside space was amazing and just what we needed to keep a wide age range of individuals occupied. Plenty of activities to choose from including badmington, table tennis, bikes and of course the pool. The surrounding area is rural and peaceful - a great place to rest and relax. Whilst the Boulangerie and shops are only a few minutes away by car. The weather was good for us which was the icing on the cake. Leslie and June were great hosts and were quick to respond when we needed any help. Overall it was a great week for us and everyone enjoyed themselves, thank you.

Tout est conforme au descriptif. La maison est très agréable, tout y est prévu dans les moindres détails. L'environnement est idyllique, il n'y a pas d'autre mot. Malgré une météo très moyenne: 15° environ, nous avons pu profiter de la piscine très bien chauffée (29,30°). Juste une toute petite remarque déjà existante dans les précédents commentaires : dans les chambres du 2ème étage, les rideaux des velux sont inefficaces et les matelas ne sont pas confortables.

Un week-end familial

Cela fait maintenant 3 ans que nous venons à BESSINES pour un regroupement familial et nous en sommes toujours aussi satisfaits. Nous y étions venus en été (mois de juillet), c'était parfait et cette année nous avons essayé le printemps et c'est encore plus beau, la maison étant perdue au milieu de la campagne limousine en fleurs. Tout est là pour que nous passions un super séjour. Nous avons grandement profité de la piscine chauffée, de la table de ping-pong et avons réussi à manger dehors tous les jours, midi et soir ! Bref, je recommande vivement cette adorable maison hyper bien équipée où il fait bon vivre...

Maison très agréable et très bien placée.

Tout est prévu dans cette maison pour qu’on y soit bien. Grands et petits trouvent de nombreuses activités. Seul hic: la Clim n’était prévue que dans une seule pièce et ne fonctionnait pas. Difficile avec la chaleur qu’on vient de subir.

Encore un excellent souvenir pour nous !

De retour sur la propriété de June et Leslie pour la 2ème fois, nous y avons passé un super séjour (4 nuits). Merci à vous 2 pour votre accueil chaleureux ! Nous étions 11 adultes et un bébé de 1 an 1/2. La maison est tellement grande que chacun peut y avoir son propre espace. Et les activités accessibles sur place sont très variées pour répondre à toutes les envies. C'est vraiment super !

Maison exceptionnelle avec jardin et piscine extra

Maison parfaite pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis, sinon veut être ensemble c est possible, mais chaque chambre à sa salle de bain et chacun son espace. Espaces extérieurs très bien entretenus . Piscine très très très agréable manque juste un thermomètre pour connaître la température car elle nous semblait pas à la température annoncée, ce qui ne nous à pas empêcher d en profiter tous les jours
