Designed for a small family or a couple, first floor apartment in the small group at Retrio Sol with well kept shared garden and beautiful salt water pool with children's shallow end. One of the few areas without high rise buildings in the views. Electronic gate, private safe parking . Fully equipped light open kitchen with breakfast bar for four and dining area for six, white shower room with washing machine. The second bedroom has sliding doors into the live space, black out curtains for bright morning sun. Cheery family apartment with a homely feel. Walking distance to supermarkets, patisserie and bars/restaurants. 20 mins walk to Denia centre or a few minutes by car. Great upmarket shopping, indoor/outdoor food markets, ambient "zen time" cafes and the new yacht marina complex. Denia boasts the most festivals of any spanish town, happy people who welcome children.

Comfortable apartment in a well kept, small complex.

The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Lovely views. The small complex was well maintained and has lovely gardens and pool. Very short walk to a long stretch of clean beach. We loved Denia and walked in most nights. Lots of small streets to explore; lovely marina; many restaurants. The whole area is un-touristy but very friendly. Rosie quickly responded to any contact - thanks for a great holiday.

Spent a wonderful two weeks at this lovely apartment in September. I was really impressed. Booking with the owner went smoothly from start to finish. The apartment was spotlessly clean and was very well equipped. I was alone and felt very safe within the complex. The garden and pool area were lovely and very well kept. The location was ideal, 20 minute walk to town or you could get a bus from the bus stop a few minute away, journey takes about 8 minutes. There is a row of bars shops restaurant and a supermarket just a few minutes walk away, as is the beautiful sandy beach. This was my first holiday to beautiful Denia, I loved it and my stay at Retiiro Sol, I am definitely booking another stay next year.

One week at the end of june

The apartment is close to the beach and the situation is good. The neighborhood is quiet and the swimming pool is great. The apartment is good for four people but maybe a little bit old and it was not as clean as we would had liked. The bathroom was clean but other things looks like the house would was closed for a many time and nobody had checked it. Summary our experiencie was not bad, we enjoy our holidays but maybe we could be more confortable.

Beautiful location, needs finessing to be a really professional offering

Only two of us stayed, so the dimensions were very comfortable. The finessing would involve proper clothes storage for the number of people it is said to accommodate. If you are to unpack a little and not live out of a suitcase this flat has no drawers or shelves for clothes, and the one and only wardrobe in the second bedroom is more or less filled with cleaning and bedding equipment. On our stay the sliding door was broken and ended up sticking in the middle of the wardrobe. It had not been fixed by end of stay. The main bedroom only has a tiny bedside table with three small knickknack drawers. The air con is fine in the main lounge. To get it into the two bedrooms the doors have to be left open. This would not be a problem for a family. There are very light white blinds on the outer balcony windows to the back. No curtains on the lounge / sleeping room and white see through on the main bedroom. Light will come in first thing and some may find this a problem. I certainly did some dusting on my first day under cupboards and some standing lamps. Not a huge deal. The rest of the flat was clean. There were plenty of towels and tea towels and linen. Little extras that would have added a professional feel would have been: The awning outside was broken before we arrived, so we had no outside shade. Although the proprietor knew about it and the wardrobe door we were not offered a token good will discount. Just a few mismatched wine glasses with one put away cracked did not give a great impression. Both beds could have been made up in bedroom two to make it look cheerful and not like a student lodging (coupled with the broken wardrobe) as we were paying the same rate as for 5/6 people. The beach umbrella usefully provided needs a point stake to fix it in the sand otherwise it is worse than useless. For the full going rate at top season prices more professionalism please!

Gepflegte, ruhige Anlage. 5 Minuten Fußweg bis zum Strand. Wer das nötige Kleingeld hat,kann im 3 Gehminuten entfernten 3-Sterne-Restaurant essen. Ansonsten etliche andere Cafés, Restaurants und ein Supermarkt in der Nähe.

A lovely place

We found the place exactly as described here and had a lovely week. The pool is good size and was very clean as the whole complex. Beach in walking distance so are shops and restaurants. I would though recommend a car if you like to go to other places. Communication with owners was always prompt and easy.

we had a lovely time in Denia. the apartment had everything hat we needed. The pool was clean and a good size. restaurants, bars, supermarket and beach all very close eithin a 5 min walk. A word of caution there are no 6 seater taxis available from the airport, so i had to get two separate at a combined cost of €350. so hire a car..

Very nice apartment on a quiet and clean complex in walking distance to all amenties

The owner of the property was extremely helpful. She supplied all the information needed for our visit and was on hand for any queries that we had. The apartment was clean and well equipped and the complex was lovely and quiet. The swimming pool was a lovely size and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would certainly visit again.

Perfect Denia Choice!

We found this an excellent choice of accommodation, perfect for a lovely, relaxing holiday.The owners were very nice and efficient to deal with and provided all the information required to enjoy the area and its activities. The apartment is wonderfully situated across the road from the beach, and has its own lovely pool. The property is very clean and well maintained and all needs within it are provided. Because its a small enough complex, it's quiet and makes for a very relaxing holiday. The patio and sun terrace, which not every apartment is provided with, complement each other so nicely that you can have sun or shade at any time. There are local restaurants within walking distance and Denia town is not far away. There are supermarkets close by, so everything is catered for. With a car you can drive to other nearby beaches and interesting little towns. All in all, this property provided us with all our needs and we enjoyed a wonderful holiday. Would definitely go back! . Want a Relaxing Holiday

Great location, very handy for shops, restaurants, and local bus , a lovely apartment in a very quiet location with good facilities . never busy round the pool and well maintained garden to relax in. Owner Rosie is very helpful, no having to go to an agent at certain time to get keys so you can gain access as soon as you arrive. Excellent

Great location

Spent 5 lovely days at Retiro Sol but could have easily spent more if we had had more time. Worth the 10 hour drive from the other side of Spain! The apartment is in a great spot, close to the beaches and shops/bars/Aldi... Felt very safe and the kids could play out in the grounds while we enjoyed the local wine on the terrace. Wasn't quite hot enough to try the pool but looked very inviting all the same! Would definitely consider going back.

Perfect Holiday Pad

This apartment is situated on one of the smaller and older developments, so it feels peaceful and not too built up in the surrounding area. Yet it's still close to the beaches (5 minutes walk) and town centre (25 minutes walk), as well as having local shops and restaurants nearby. It's not a huge apartment, but it's very comfortable and the owners have thoughtfully tried to provide everything you need when you're on holiday. There's plenty of hot water, a washing machine and the kitchen is well stocked with crockery and utensils. The towels, bed linens and apartment itself were all spotless. There's a big dining table and chairs. The living room area is quite small, but there is a TV and DVD. However, I think you will be outdoors most of the time! There's a lovely sun terrace with table and chairs for soaking up the rays and you get a beautiful view of the mountains from here. I’m happy to recommend this place – it’s an ideal spot for singles, couples and small families.

Read the instructions carefully.........

because the route provided from the autoroute was exact - unfortunately we read ahead too quickly and turned at the wrong set of lights - out fault not Rosie's. Only 2 of us so we spread out in a very comfy apartment - second bedroom became a 'dressing room'. Not swimmers so didn't try the pool but looked well cared for. Complex small but, again, well looked after and tidy - off street parking much appreciated. 5 minutes easy walk to superb/safe beach, about 20 ish into town. Would I go again - yes, can't say much more really.
