The trullo is traditionally small and cool at night, the outdoor space is done really well. The garden is private with different areas with loungers, seating etc and the pool is super. We had a really enjoyable week
We have had the most amazing holiday. The Trulli and the grounds are stunning. The welcome we received was wonderful. We were looked after so well throughout our stay. There are lots of places to explore nearby and the restaurants are fabulous.

Dear Guest
Thank you so much for the 5 stars, It was a joy to have you stay at the Trulli. I don't get to meet all of our guests as I am usually at home in Ireland, so for me it was great meet you and to hear first hand your reaction to the Trullo and its grounds, it was definitely a meeting of kindred spirits. As you said I look forward to seeing you again next year.
Best Wishes
Liz
Big swimmingpool, many terraces to stay, enough shadow, beautiful garden, many little towns to visit, a friendly house manager which you always can ask questions. A lovely week!!
A very nice Trulli with lots of outdoor space and a wonderful big (15m) pool, particularly great if you like active swimming which we do. Love the garden where you can pick your own fruit and veg.

Dear Richard
Many thanks for your lovely review. It is nice to know that the extra planting we did in the garden was appreciated. I just picked the last of the tomatoes this week. the Pomegranates and Sharon Fruit are just ripening and ready to eat. I am planning more vegetables next year.
We had a wonderful stay in this stunning trullo surrounded by a beautiful garden complete with the huge pool, we could not ask for anything better than this : away from it all but still at a driving distance from all the beautiful and quaint towns and sites around. We would go back without hesitation. Highly recommended if you are looking to experience the trullo life. The property manager was very nice and helpful.

Hi John
Many thanks for your lovely review. We put a huge effort into the land and garden this Spring in response to the changing climate in Puglia. We have saved a lot of water and we think made the garden even more beautiful.
So glad you had a great holiday and hope to see you soon again.

Wisteria and sunshine
Your garden reminded us of the movie Enchanted April, the garden is so beautiful , we wandered along the little paths and tried to identify all the flowers and fruit trees. We sat on the Veranda looking towards the pool and watched the dragonflies and swifts dip down to drink the water. We hadn't realised how much birdsong and nature there would be. We had such a relaxing time, we slept like baby's and loved it all. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home.

Dear Guest
I am so happy you had such a lovely time. We have put 12 years of work into the restoration of the Trullo and created the garden from a field. We laid the garden and pool out around the ancient olive trees and the 300 year old cypress tree. Sadly Puglia lost all of its Palm trees 4 years ago due to a beetle from North Africa, and we lost ours. We kept the Trullo as authentic as possible, with many original features such as the original stone floors and the hall door, we even bought and moved a small trulli with cone to build the bathroom so that all the stones match and you cant see that it is new from the outside.
Many Thanks

We absolutely loved it. The Trullo is beautiful and very well equipped. The garden and pool area was just what we were looking for. Antonella is very hospitable and helped us a lot during our stay. We visited with our 6 months old baby and all we needed for her was taken care of. Just the perfect vacation we needed. Would definitely recommend to others! Hope to see you again soon Antonella!
A beautiful secluded Trulli in lovely grounds. Antonella was a superhero , coming to our rescue after a puncture in our way from the airport nothing was too much trouble. We picked delicious and almonds for breakfast each day. It’s the perfect place to kick back and unwind. We really hope to come again.
We had such a beautiful time at this property, the location was lovely, you do need a car though!
Antonella is the best, she made our holiday, nothing was ever too much trouble.
Nice, characteristic Trulli. Antonella who welcomed us is a very enthousiastic, excellent speaking Italian lady with great knowledge of the area because she lives in the neighborhood.
Romantic atmosphere in a traditional Trulli. Well equipped.
Big garden and lots of chairs and beds around the pool.
There are 4 stray cats who will visit you when they are hungry.

I am so glad you had such a great time. You will be pleased to hear that we have found good homes for the cats with lovely families locally.
We had such a fantastic time, we relaxed completely sitting around the pool, we loved the “double” sun-loungers under the pergola at the pool steps.
We are as brown as berries and totally chilled
A big thank you to the wonderful Antonella who looked after us so well.

We followed suggestions from the comprehensive welcome book the owners left for us, they have thought of everything to make our stay run smoothly. Hi
Many thanks for your lovely review.
Most unfortunately the time you were there there was a huge storm which took out the main mast and destroyed much of the wi-fi signal in a wide area. The technicians worked night and day to get it restored as soon as they could.
I am glad you had a great time at the Trulli
Hope to see you back soon

Beautiful week in beautiful surroundings
We had a fabulous time at Trulli Mimosa! The trulli house is so beautifully restored and has so much character. The kids absolutely loved the huge pool and seemed to spend every minute in it. We enjoyed the property grounds so much, the outside area is stunning and practical at the same time. The managers of the property Hilary and John are so helpful and friendly, we had terrible delay with RyanAir but they waited for us until we showed up (past 1am) to check us in. Wifi wasn't working well but who needs it when you're in such a fab place :) We are already dreaming of going back!

Hi
I am so happy you had a great time, I have spent a lot of time on the grounds, I am beginning to plant according to Permaculture Principles and hope eventually have a "Food Forest" in place, producing more and more Fruit and Vegetables.
We have been terrible delayed ourselves when traveling with babies and grannys, so we know how stressful that can be, which is why we decided that no matter what time you get to the Trulli your holiday has started and there is a snack in the fridge.I agree Hilary and John are fantastic, they make everybody feel welcome and looked after.
Looking forward to your return

We have fallen in love with Puglia !!!!!!
We had a lovely warm welcome from the wonderfull caretakers. The Trulli was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The owner has great taste.
We followed many of the suggestions in the welcome book, going to quite a few of the restaurants suggested. We got a warm reception from them also, Trulli Mimosa guests are made feel very welcome there too.
We realy loved all the local customs and activities surrounding Easter, sometimes we thought we must be back 100 years watching the age old processions.
We tried the Cheff one night and loved the Pasta making lesson
We wiil be back
Thank you

Wow!
What an amazing Trulli ! Wow is what we said as soon as we saw our little slice of Heaven. It was everything and more than we hoped for.We have fallen in love with Puglia. Liz the Welcome Book was amazing it was our Bible. Thankyou so much for sharing your home with us we hope to come back. Ostuni, Alberobello and Matera are a must visit. Our favourite beaches were on the Ionian coast a hours drive but well worth it. The food is to die for especially the Foccacia and meat from St Michele. A special mention to Jackie who was so kind and helpful. What can we say ? Shhhh don't tell everyone we don't really want to share our amazing find. Perfect from start to finish
Kind Regards

Dear Whittle Family
Thank you so much for your kind review and the 5 stars, and also for your lovely remarks in the Visitors Book at the house. Yes Jacki is fantastic at looking after the house and all the guests when I am not there myself.
We are always so happy when our guests have had a great holiday. We do try to pay close attention to detail.
I agree with you about the fantastic food, who would think a little town right on our doorstep like St Michele would have such a marvellous array of artisan food suppliers and high class restaurants and also what value. Italy is really getting into the Slow Food and Organic movements, I can’t eat in such a healthy and delicious way at home for double the price, and I defiantly can’t buy organic eggs directly from the farmer who produced them. What can beat a gin and tonic sitting outside, in the main square watching the passagata drinking in the local atmosphere, for the paltry sum of €3 (with complementary crisps and peanut). Wow indeed..... Now you know why we came to Puglia, fell in love, and bought our own little patch of paradise. Maybe we will see you again

Beautiful Trulli for a Beautiful Holiday
It was really an amazing and unique experience to stay in a trulli. This one was particularly lovely and so nicely furnished and decorated and outfitted with everything you need for your stay. The master bedroom was just lovely with its crisp white linens, comfy bed and doors leading to the outside terrace. The grounds around the trulli are expansive with olive and fruit trees and the pool is fantastic and so pleasant to be in after a day of sightseeing in the heat! Plenty of room for dining outside or relaxing by the pool . It is really quiet as well in this area-very peaceful! The caretaker, Jacki, is also extremely kind, thoughtful, and accommodating and checked on us before our arrival and throughout our stay, which is so nice to have so you feel you can contact someone if you have a problem or question. The trulli is situated between 2 towns, so shops and restaurants are easily accessible. All the recommendations in the Welcome Book for sightseeing and restaurants and shopping were spot on and very helpful. Needless to say, we ate very well! We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Pugilla
I had a wonderful time at Trulli Mimosa, it was like an oasis in a busy world. The pool was fantastic it was so good to be able to swim every day and the local food was delicious.
It was great just to hang around and not feel I had to do something and likewise Trulli Mimosa was a hub for any of the beautiful towns and beach we wanted to visit during our stay. We didn't have children with us but it would be a lovely place for a family holiday. I would definitely go back.

So cute and authentic with all mod cons
If you want to experience true Italian life then Trulli Mimosa is out of this world. We loved every moment from start to finish. The house has two bedrooms, one quite small but so charming! The round bathroom is so cute and we loved the outside space with all the different places to sit and dine. The pool is enormous and really great for children.. everything has been thought through in terms of comfort and there are lots of shady places to sit and enjoy the considerable sunshine.

About the host
Hosted by Liz Clery
We are an Irish family who have design and travel businesses and who own 3 Trulli houses in the wonderful region of Puglia. We love to visit this area which is still unspoiled and rural in its simplicity. The quality of the food, restaurants, bars etc is outstanding. We love to visit en-masse, or simply pop down for a quick break. We have taken considerable care when renovating and restoring each house to capture the spirit of the ancient Trulli houses, and decorated each to a high standard. As Trulli Mimosa was lived in until we bought it we were able to retain many of the original features, and restore it to how it would have been when the grandparents lived there, traditional in style. The house is very private, with its own gardens and pool. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do
Why they chose this property
Our family of two sisters and a brother, husbands and wife and children, fell in love with this area of Italy as it reminds us of summer holidays in the West of Ireland when we were young. It still retains its rural simplicity yet provides high standards of restaurants, shops and bars. The beaches are nearby and are very Italian in nature. We particularly love the people of this area. They cannot do enough for us and are really pleasant and welcoming. Wave and say Ciao to everybody you meet on the road. Ostuni St Michele and Ceglie Messapica are really old towns which have maintained their heritage and history very well. We also love to visit Martina Franca and Cisternino for their restaurants and outdoor markets. It's easy to get to the area via Bari, Brindisi or even Naples airports, or by ferry.
What makes this property unique
We particularly love the outdoor living at the Trulli. We spent most of our time on the land or around the pool. Our 3 Trulli are on a quiet road and are only minutes from each other. Trulli Stella and Trulli Mimosa share a drive, but are still very secluded and private from each other. The properties are fully equipped with almost everything you could possible need for cooking and enjoying the gardens and pool. The cooking lessons and private dining provided by our caretaker and her Mother are extremely special! They will teach you how to make the pasta a great treat at a very reasonable cost...
