On the sunny Canarian island of Lanzarote, free from the stress of mass tourism, with a clear wind providing the island with the most healthy biosphere. Unesco declared Lanzarote a Biosphere Reserve in 1993. In the morning you can witness a beautiful sun-drenched sunset while enjoying breakfast on the spacious terrace with a wide view on the bright blue ocean, the ancient salt mines and the contours of the hundreds of palm trees surrounding the village. Within walking distance of (the apartment) Casa Esquina del Mar there is a private hideout near the water where you can take a dive in the ocean and also very close is the private beach with a natural ocean pool. You like fishing... no problem just in front of the house is a very nice place and only a few minutes away (car) there’s the marvellous Costa Teguise Golf. This unique and peaceful location of Casa Esquina del Mar provides the privacy for naked sunbathing. A holiday, an island, a house you will never forget!

Fantastic views and very peaceful

This is a great place to stay as a couple, right next to the ocean and very peaceful. The studio has everything you would want and we enjoyed home made paella thanks to Filip. I would love to return.

Location, Location, Location

This apartment is all about the location. Not just a sea view, but close enough to feel the spray on a windy day. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the waves, or the stars at night has to be experienced. Very few apartments can come close to matching this. However there is a trade-off for getting such a perfect location. Los Cocateros is isolated, there is nothing there. There are no shops within walking distance. But it is peaceful. The apartment is large enough for two people, but no more. Storage for clothes is extremely limited. And if you like a power shower, forget it ! And be very careful of the step in the lounge, it is dangerous (as my wife will testify!). Overall I have still given this property 5stars, because, if you stay here, you will never forget it.

Grandioser Blick aufs Meer

Die Ferienwohnung ist groß (2 Zimmer), hat große Fenster im Wohnzimmer mit Rundumblick aufs Meer und ist sehr wohnlich und gemütlich eingerichtet, die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Auf der großen, sonnigen Terrasse sind verschiedene Sitzgelegenheiten und Liegen sowie ein schönes Jaccuzzi-Bad. Toll ist die direkte Lage am felsigen Strand und der grandiose Ausblick aufs Meer! Das Haus ist am Ortsrand eines kleinen Dorfes und wer die Einsamkeit, Wind und tosende Wellen liebt, der ist hier genau richtig. Der Gastgeber kocht hervorragendes Essen auf Wunsch und auch Physiotherapie im Haus ist möglich. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern verlief reibungslos und herzlich, wir wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert!

Los Cocoteros .. a gem

Thank you Filip and Carina. We had an absolutely fantastic fortnight in your apartment. The view from the balcony was to die for. Communication in advance was great plus the offer to meet us at the airport was a lovely touch. The bottle of wine plus cold drinks on arrival .. that’s how it should be done!!! It was our first trip to lanzarote and the apartment was perfectly positioned… not too far to drive for a supermarket / visit tourist attractions. We highly recommend the smokehouse restaurant in Gautiza but get there early before they sell out!! And the best thing … the hot tub on the balcony. And the wind!!!!! Would have no hesitation recommending this property and would love to return one day!!

Sommerliche Tage im November

Die Esqina del Mar war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, es fehlte an nichts, außer vielleicht ein Geschirrspüler. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die total offene Struktur der Wohnung bis hin zum Treppenhaus war gewöhnungsbedürftig, wenigstens zum Badezimmer hätte uns eine Tür doch besser gefallen. Esqina del Mar heißt Ecke am Meer. Das bedeutete eine grandiose Aussicht in alle Richtungen, aber auch eine windige Ecke. Es gab aber auf der Terrasse ein windgeschütztes Plätzchen. Nur der Whirlpool stand während unseres Aufenthalts fast nur im Wind, dadurch unangenehm und außerdem zu kalt. Schade, wir konnten ihn nicht genießen. Entschädigt wurden wir durch das große Meeresbecken im Ort, wo man gefahrlos im Atlantik schwimmen konnte. Die freundliche Art von Carina und Filip sowie der tägliche Besuch ihrer Katze trug zur Wohlfühlatmoshäre bei.

Classy accommodation for two . We loved the view but were unlucky with the April weather, very strong winds which blasted the terrace and made use of the jacuzzi minimal sadly. Wind and waves quite noisy and wild on this exposed corner during our Spring visit .Pleasant short walks along coast path to small beach or sea pool . Hosts helpful when hire car died after a day and had to be replaced. Lots of lovely places accessible by car .Delightful, dramatic island home.

We had a lovely stay at Filip and Carrina’s, from the moment Carrina met us at the airport until we left it was a great escape. The apartment is well equipped and in a beautiful location. There is a well stocked supermarket just up the road which had everything we needed. Our primary purpose for the visit was walking and there were several lovely walks on our doorstep. The location, overlooking the sea, was quite spectacular, in all weathers. Would definitely recommend 😀👍Well done Carrina for coping with our Driving on the way from the airport 😂😂

Superb apartment with stunning view

The well-equipped and comfortable apartment has everything needed for a great stay in Lanzarote. Away from the tourist hustle and bustle, it is still within a few minutes easy drive of Costa Teguise with its many restaurants, and also ideally placed for visiting attractions in the north of the island (those in the south are also no trouble to get to as Lanzarote is so small and the roads so good). There are some fine costal walks right on the doorstep. The apartment has a comfy bed, great shower, and the kitchen is equipped with everything needed. The large picture windows on either wide offer drmatic unspolit views of the Atlantic. It is difficult to imagine a porperty with a better sea view. The large wrap around balcony (complete with hot tub) is ideal for soaking up some sun, and being on two sides allows (for most of the time) a chance to escape the all-too regular wind. But just watching the waves crash on the mini Los Hervideros right in front of the balcony is theraputic in itself. This is a place ideally suited to those wanting to switch off in comfort away from the crowds.

Kraftplatz! Perfekt zum Auftanken

Dieses wunderschöne Fleckchen Erde kann man nur mit 5 Sternen bewerten. Der wilde, ungestüme Atlantik zum Greifen nah, wurden wir nicht müde, dem fortwährenden Wellenspiel von der Terrasse aus zuzusehen. Die sehr geschmackvoll und funktionell eingerichtete Wohnung mit dem unvergleichlichen Panorama, bietet jeglichen Komfort, war in ihrer Schönheit eine stetige Quelle der Freude und hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Wer dem Trubel entfliehen möchte und neue Kraft tanken möchte, der ist hier genau richtig. Wir wollten kaum vor die Haustür so gefiel es uns. Dringend nur und von Herzen zu empfehlen!

Fantasticas vacaciones

Nos alojamos en casa Salinas de mar, cerca de casa Esquina del mar, en Los Cocoteros. Es la segunda vez que estamos en una casa de Filip y Carine: en julio de 2015 estuvimos en casa Caleta de Famara. En las dos ocasiones hemos estado fantasticamente bien. Las casas estan bien cuidadas y limpias, en sitios agradables y con espacios exteriores donde disfrutar de las vistas y las puestas de sol. Casa Salinas de Mar esta bien equipada: cocina completa, lavadora y lavavajillas, ducha jacuzzi, dos habitaciones con buenos colchones. Se proveen toallas y albornoces, nuevos y limpios, y toallas de playa. Ademas, te recogen en el aeropuerto y te acompanan hasta casa. Todo con la simpatia y amabilidad de Filip y Carine. Lo mejor de lo que conocemos en la isla y a un precio muy razonable. Fantastica relacion precio/calidad Volveremos!!!!!

Fantastic Relaxing Holiday

A luxury apartment for a relaxing holiday

This apartment is perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday in the wonderful Canarian sun. This really is a luxury villa with all you will need. The village is small and quiet but has a well stocked local shop. This is the perfect base to explore Lanzarote from with Costa Teguise only a 10 minute drive away and to the north some amazing less touristy spots. An amazing apartment with first class hosts for you to do as little or as much as you like.

Can't fault

Have just spent a wonderful week at this lovely rooftop apartment overlooking the ocean, with balconies on two sides incorporating a useful windbreak of a wall (even while still able to view the sea) and a luxurious hot tub. Although the village has few amenities, for those wanting to get away from it all, it's a perfectly peaceful spot except for the exciting pounding of the surf just below the apartment. One of the advantages of this holiday was being met at the airport by our friendly, welcoming hosts, who had also arranged the booking of a hire car for us. On arrival at the apartment we were also surprised and delighted to see a bottle of cold Cava waiting for us. On two evenings we also enjoyed delicious meals cooked by our host and brought up to us in the apartment. Highly recommend.
