17th Century Cottage In St Ives, Cornwall. Sleeps 2 With Parking!
A beautiful town centre 17th century stone cottage tucked away in a quiet cobbled street. Lovingly restored and completely refurbished in 2013 to an exceptionally high standard - the cottage has all the comforts of a bijoux boutique hotel with the freedom to do as you please! Cornish Cottage is a 2 minute level stroll to St Ives harbour, restaurants, cafes, galleries, shops and beaches. Steeped in history and full of original charm and character with wonky walls, a wood burning stove with cornish granite fire surround, granite coins, window seats and exposed beams. Free Parking space for one car in a private road 10 minutes walk away. Underfloor heating and gas central heating. Delicious Cornish Cream Tea or surprise welcome pack awaits guests on arrival! We regret the cottage is not suitable for children. Sorry - no pets allowed.

The cottage was fantastic in a great location just a minute or two walk to the shops and sea front. Everything was very clean and had everything we needed for the week. Had a wonderful stay!
We had an amazing stay at the Cornish Cottage, it is a beautiful quaint property with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Its very quiet even though it is literally 2 minute walk to the harbour, very central, excellent location. Would highly recommend.
We spent 4 nights in this delightful cottage. It was very cozy and well equipped. Perfect location close to the town and beaches but also nice and quiet. We felt the only drawback was the lack of an outside space!

Very nice cottage
Very nice cottage..... just what my wife and I expected. No one would be disappointed
We had the most wonderful stay. The cottage was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It is in a fantastic location, only minutes away from St Ives harbour and plenty of restaurants. Ylenia was fantastic, great communication and allowed us to check out later, as well as leaving us a little something as it was our honeymoon! It was also great that the cottage has its own parking, which is just a short walk away. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend!
You could sense the history in this cottage, and imagine a family sitting by the fire, and nestled at night in the upper rooms. At the same time, this was a well-appointed, modernized, and tastefully decorated cottage. Superb location, close to restaurants, shops, and the harbour. Lovely hospitality and finishing touches were greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ylenia!

Rude owners of the cottage
This holiday was a gift to my partner for his 30th birthday, the cottage was lovely and St Ives is beautiful but the strange inspection of the cottage half way through our stay was unexpected and odd, furthermore on the morning of our check out,the time was changed to an hour earlier on the morning we were supposed to be leaving and the owners stood outside of the cottage until we left. The check out on the app said 11.00 and the owners kept banging on the door telling us that it was 10.00 they then continued to wait outside until we had left. It was uncomfortable and a horrible way to end our stay in St Ives. I love this town, the cottage was pretty but the owners are not hospitable or professional. I advise anyone to stay in one of the many other beautiful cottages, bnb’s or hotels in St Ives.
Beautifully designed rooms with cozy athmosphere and great colours
Well equipped kitchen, milk, coffee and tea complimentary
Beautiful lavender soap in the bathroom
Great location for a short stay in St Ives
Will start longer next time. It takes moments to walk into St Ives and it's super easy access to everywhere. Not quite home from home, but perfectly lovely.
A really lovely break in a cute cottage. Although the cottage was small we had all we needed with lovely finishing touches for example robes and slippers were provided. Infact we renamed the cottage cosy cottage. The log burner was great. We also received an extended check out and complimentary coffee and cake from the canary cafe. The only change we would make as the cottage has excellent WiFi is a smart TV, which was stated as being available in the particulars but the TV was not. We would however absolutely stay there again.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
The devil is in the detail.
It’s all very well having quality bed linen but when the loo drips all night the bathroom fan sounds like you’re on the flight path to Heathrow, the bar next doors music loud and clear till gone 10. Bottle collection @5am from pub behind. A cooker with no instructions and terrible arrival instructions made for more stress than we needed. Do not book this property if you want peace and quiet.
A beautiful and cosy cottage tucked away in St Ives. Friendly host and lovely croissants and coffee from the Yellow Canary Cafe! A lovely week by the sea.
Our first taste of a cottage rental as we normally stay in hotels.
You couldn’t ask for a more convenient location of a holiday cottage. Just 2 minutes stroll from the harbour, beach and the town centre.
Admittedly the car was parked (for free) 5 minutes away, but we barely used it, and of course you can drive literally up to the front door to load/unload.
The cottage is very cosy and has all the equipment you need, especially if you want to cook for yourselves too.
It’s very tastefully decorated and has all mod cons including gas central heating and WiFi.
The owner was friendly and helpful and always answered any queries I had very promptly.
The only disadvantages with this cottage is that there’s no garden and, because it’s so close to the town centre, you might hear some stragglers making their way home late at night, but it’s not enough to disturb your sleep and after 11pm, heard very little.
The cottage was spotlessly clean throughout and once we’d unpacked, was like a home from home. Admittedly it’s small and compact, but not claustrophobic. The bedroom and bathroom are bigger than many hotel rooms! There is plenty of storage space for clothes too.
Thoroughly recommended
Great stay at this fabulous cottage. Owner very helpful on our arrival. Met housekeeper who was lovely, and arranged for logs to be delivered. Cream tea much appreciated. Robes and slippers added luxury. Will definitely return.
This little cottage is in a great location almost directly
Across from the Barbara Hepworth Museum, so easy
Walking to anywhere in the town. It’s cosy, quiet at night, and has everything
You need for a short stay in St Ives. A very comfy bed, great
Shower and Ylenia the owner is very approachable if you
Need anything. Lovely to arrive to fresh flowers , scones and
Cream! Thank you Ylenia...we enjoyed meeting you and Dolly.

About the host

I live and work in St Ives with my husband. It is the most wonderful place in the world to live, love and holiday!
Why they chose this property
Before Cornish Cottage came on the market it was always one of those properties that intrigued me. It was the type of place that every time you walked passed you wished you could take a peek inside. When it came on the market we couldn't wait to view it and we both fell in love with it instantly. It had so much character and was every bit the romantic quintessential cottage. Steeped in history it is reputed to be the smallest and oldest house in St Ives! We renovated and decorated the cottage in a contemporary style - careful to retain all its character features including a working fireplace.
What makes this property unique
The cottage is a unique property in the very heart of St Ives. It is just two minutes level stroll to the harbour, shops and beaches and one minute to the Barbara Hepworth sculpture garden and Trewyn sub tropical gardens. It has the huge advantage of the use of a parking space for our guests. If you have ever been to St Ives before you will know that this is a huge bonus!
