This is such a gorgeous well equipped property. Perfect for visiting York and the surrounding area. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. Great price for such a quality stay. The beds were super comfy. Great host with clear communication.
excellent location for seeing the city of York, had a very comfortable stay it is the second time we have stayed at this cottage and if wanted to visit York would say again.
Lovely location, lots of places to visit, park & ride just a few minutes away and a 12 min ride to city centre. Property has all the amenities, including a laundry room. Very clean and smell as you walk in is fresh and citrus, just sofas a little tired and although beds comfortable look is a little old fashioned. Constant hot water, with choice of walk in power shower and bath. Would definitely isit again.
Convenient location for our daughter's graduation, close to University without having to go through the city centre. Spacious bedrooms, well equipped and a nice lawn to look out over in the evening.
Fabulous place to stay, from easy booking to the facilities & room layout which was perfect for what we needed The kitchen was well equipped, rooms decorated to a high standard & very clean The farm is within a short drive to a pub for an evening meals or shops (we had a supermarket delivery on the evening we arrived which worked out very conveniently). The view from the cottage was lovely overlooking the fields & cowsNext time we are back in York we would definitely look to rebook & would highly recommend to others
Very well situated for grips into York and surrounding area. Easy to catch park and ride bus. Great layout in the house and well equipped although could do with a bit more cutlery and some tongs that work! A really good place to stay
Really lovely property and enough space for 5 of us. Everything was as described and clean. We had a fabulous 4 night stay and a great location. It was easy to get to York, McArthur Glen and Scarborough. We would definitely return, the owners are lovely and the bonus, a little farm shop.
We were a family meet up of 5. The cottage was immaculate on arrival, tea, coffee and milk and cookies all there to use. Key code was given prior to arrival. Great location for park and ride. Lovely cottage to spend time in. Wewill be back.
Our family absolutely enjoyed our stay at the quaint Ivy Cottage. It was the perfect peaceful getaway. The cottage was very clean, well-stocked, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The little touches—like the delicious treats left for us—made us feel welcome right away. Our children loved watching the cows in the nearby fields, and my husband and I appreciated the calm, relaxing atmosphere. It gave us a much-needed break from the usual pace of life.We hope to return again soon. Highly recommended for families looking for a quiet countryside retreat.
An amazing house, clean and beautifully decorated. No clutters. Had everything one would need. Very comfortable. Lovely location, lot of privacy and tranquil. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nice welcome treats 🙂.

About the host
Hosted by Jayne/ kevin
Kevin grew up at Ivy House Farm, Kexby, in 1985 married Jayne and we have both worked on the farm since then. In the year 2000 Jayne opened a pet shop and put plans in motion to convert an old farm building and pig sty into Ivy Cottage. This has been a long project, but we wanted Ivy Cottage to be a stunning and comfortable place, with high standards, which we would love to stay in ourselves.
What makes this property unique
