The house is located by the lake, from the windows you can enjoy a wide view and you can admire beautiful sunsets. The building was completely renovated in 1983. The windows have glass 'termopan'. Fully furnished and equipped with major appliances. E 'on three levels. The rooms are on the upper floors. Large kitchen, dining oval table with 6 seats and sofa. Large bathroom with shower. Two balconies and a storage room for suitcases. There is no garden. The parking lots are at 100m. The center of Varenna is about 1 Km. Grocery store and bakery at 50m.
E 'reachable by car, by train (line Milano C.-Lecco-Sondrio-Tirano) + taxi or ferry.
Pebble beach just meters from home.
Possibility of trips by boat or ferry to Bellagio, Menaggio or Como.
Day trips to Milan, Como and Bergamo with the train.
Visits to the gardens of Villa Cypress, Villa Monastero, or the castle of Vezio. A few kilometers are Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbianello, the Ravine of Bellano, Piona Abbey, the museum of Moto Guzzi, the museum of cycling and the Fort Fuentes.

Best view ever

We had a great week in Fiumelatte. Franco was so kind, there was milk, vine and beer in the fridge when we arrived and we even got fruits from his garden during the week. The small beach in front of the house was heaven

Lake front beauty

Our stay at Franco’s house was perfect from start to finish. Our plane was delayed but he waited to meet us. The house was even better than the pictures, the location is perfect the size of the property is great for 5 adults. The lake level room is perfect to store your supplies for a day on the beach and with a toilet and shower it’s perfect to use after a swim in the lake. This visit marked my parents 13th trip to this area so we have stayed in many places. We have booked to go back again next year so that should tell you how wonderful the house and Franco is. He even took us to the train station when we couldn’t get a taxi. He is so helpful, checking in on us via WhatsApp to see if we needed anything and dropped off some fruit fresh from his garden. If you are going to stay anywhere then this should be your first choice.

Beautiful Home Right on the Lake

The pictures don't do this house justice! It is located right on the water and you can hear the wave lapping against shore when the windows are open. Our children enjoyed playing at the house's pebble beach right down the stairs outside. The home was very large by vacation rental standards and afforded us all separate bedrooms for us and two children. The additional bed in one of the children's rooms could have been used for a 5th person as well. The kitchen was fully stocked with every kind of cooking item you might need. Best of all was that the property was impeccably maintained. On arrival Franco met us and demonstrated all of the features of the home as well as showed gave us a generorously stocked array of tourist information for the region. As mentioned in other reviews there was a small store/butcher/bakery nearly accross the street with access to anything you might need for daily living. Varenna was a short 5 minute drive north. Parking was easily available in central Varenna at a parking garage, wlthough there was free parking along the streets if you could find a spot as well. Parking at the residence was suitable for one car, right in front of the door. The location was perfect for us as it allowed us easy access to all of the region and the views from the property onto Lake Como were first rate. I would easily recommend this to home to anyone.

Heerlijk verblijf op de mooiste plek van het Comomeer. Een origineel compleet ingericht Italiaans huis. Trapje af en je hebt een fijn strandje voor de deur. Airco daar deden ze vroeger niet aan dus die vindt je niet in dit drie verdiepingen tellend huis. Verder vind je alles. Franco bedankt. We komen graag nog een keer terug. Johan en Willeke

Alles bestens!

Machen wir es kurz: wir haben für nächstes Jahr bereits wieder gebucht :) Es war für uns ein rundum gelungener Urlaub und wir können uns den anderen Kommentaren nur anschließen. Die Straße vor dem Haus und die damit verbundenen Geräusche störten uns jetzt z.B. nicht.

Alles perfekt!

Die Wohnung ist toll. Alles war wie beschrieben und sehr sauber. Franco ist ein sehr toller Gastgeber und war immer ansprechbar. Wir waren mit 2 Kindern sowie mit SUP und Paddelboot in der Wohnung. Sowohl SUP als auch Paddelboot konnten problemlos im Keller untergebracht werden. Somit konnte man sich auch spontan und ohne viel Aufwand an den öffentlichen Strand direkt vor der Haustüre aufmachen. In Fiumelatte selbst ist es ruhig und entspannt. Fiumelatte ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt, um sich in die nächstgelegene Stadt Varenna zu Fuß zu begeben. Wir werden bestimmt nochmal wiederkommen. Leider ist sie nächstes Jahr schon ausgebucht.

Only one issue...

We very much enjoyed our stay at the house and Franco was very helpful and brought us to the market because there is no market nearby. The market that is mentioned in the ad that is right across the street has been closed for two years now. The house was very clean and right on the lake, which was very nice. The only problem was the walk into town. It is about a 20 minute walk to the beginning of the town, and 30 minutes to the ferry. It's not so much the time it took, but the walk was not pleasant as it is along a very busy street with cars going rather fast and you have to walk single file as there is very little room between you and the cars. At some point during the walk there is no sidewalk. Walking back to the house after dinner in the dark, we would put our phone flashlight on to make sure the cars saw us. I couldn't imagine doing this walk with small children as you can't really hold their hands during the walk as there is not enough room to walk two-by-two. Taxis are not often around either. Other than that, the house was absolutely perfect and Franco was always available to answer any questions.

Meer dan fantastisch!

Een prachtige 3 verdiepingen tellende goed onderhouden woning, direct gelegen aan het Comomeer met fantastisch uitzicht over de bergen, het meer en de plaatsen Bellagio, Menaggio en Varenna. Meer hoeft eigenlijk niet verteld te worden. Maar ik doe het toch. Want deze woning is echt heel bijzonder. Geen woning in deze prijsklasse is zo mooi gesitueerd aan het meer. Een klein publiek strandje direct achter het huis, vind ze maar eens! Het prachtige en pittoreske Varenna is op loopafstand maar de kinderen (9 en 12) waren wij zo blij met het strandje dat wij niet veel op pad zijn geweest. Een bijkomend voordeel is dat je ook vanaf het balkon zicht hebt op het strandje. Dus wij konden de dag rustig beginnen terwijl de kinderen al gingen zwemmen onder ons toezicht vanaf het balkon. Er is in Varenna een uitzichtpunt waarbij een bordje staat ‘200 steps to a romantic view’. Geloof mij, het uitzicht vanuit deze woning en het strandje is vele malen mooier. De woning zelf is van alle gemakken voorzien, schoon en fris. De bedden zijn opgemaakt, er zijn voldoende badlakens en ook is er een wasmachine. Er was door de eigenaar Franco zelfs wat lekkers klaargelegd in de koelkast bij onze aankomst. Franco is vriendelijk, discreet en behulpzaam. Parkeerplekken zijn schaars, maar gelukkig weet Franco een paar plekjes die meestal vrij zijn. Deze zijn wel wat verder van de woning gelegen maar voor ons was dit geen probleem. Absoluut een aanrader! Franco, grazie mille per la tua ospitalità. Abbiamo apprezzato la tua casa. Se potessi dare dieci stelle lo farei. Saluti!

Erholsame, Tage in traumhafter Kulisse

Wir waren mit drei Erwachsenen und 2 Teenagern für 14 Tage angereist. Der Ausblick aus allen Fenstern ist überwältigend. Wir hatten alle genug Platz und konnten uns an diversen Plätzen auch mal zurückziehen. Das Wasser direkt vor uns war ein Traum und wir waren dauernd schwimmen. In der Küche hatten wir alles, um die leckersten Gerichte zu kochen. Auch das Eisfach haben wir ausgiebig genutzt. In Bellani - 7 Minuten mit dem Auto - haben wir im Supermarkt alles bekommen. Auch die umliegenden kleinen Dörfer laden zum spazieren und schwimmen ein. Franco war sofort zur Stelle als wir einmal eine Frage hatten. Er kam auch manchmal zum Strand vor dem Haus und fragte, ob alles oK sei. Wir fühlten uns perfekt betreut. Es war ein rundum wunderschöner Urlaub. Wir werden wiederkommen.

See in Sicht

Wir haben besonders den wunderbaren Blick auf den See genossen, der sich aus jedem der sauberen Zimmer bietet. Dazu laden zwei Balkone zum See und ein direkter Zugang zum See mit sehr schöner Kulisse in Freie ein. In Küche, Bad und den anderen Räumen findet sich alle, was man braucht. Die Straße vor der Eingangstür ist so gut wie nicht zu hören, so dass man wirklich seien Ruhe hat. Das Haus liegt nur so weit von Varenna entfernt, das man in 20 Minuten zu Fu? dort ist. Oberhalb der Straße gibt es zudem einen Bahnhaltestelle, allerdings kann man dort keine Fahrkarten besorgen, dies muss man online oder in einer Bar in Varenna kaufen. Für unser Auto fanden wir in der Nähe einen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Fazit: Für uns war es eine sehr schöne Wahl, zumal man direkt vom Hasu loswandern kann..

Herbstferien 2021

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Woche am Comersee verbracht. Das Haus war sehr sauber und alles was man braucht war vorhanden. Die Lage am See ist einfach wunderbar und die Bahnanbindung ebenfalls(Mailand,Bergamo).Franco,war immer ansprechbar für uns.

Schöner Urlaub

Schöne Lage am See

Super ist die Lage direkt am See mit herrlichem Blick von allen Zimmern aus. Franco, der Vermieter, ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider war der Panificio geschlossen.

schöner Urlaub

Große Räume, genügend Schränke und Ablagemöglichkeiten. Zusätzlich zur Beschreibung der Wohnung gibt es einen Kellerraum mit Toilette/Dusche und viel Platz. Dort konnten wir unsere 2 SUP's und unser Schlauchboot aufgeblasen unterbringen! Unser Vermieter Franco war stets hilfsbereit und ist über Handy jederzeit erreichbar. Wer zu Fuß nach Varenna möchte, kann auch gefahrlos den etwas höher gelegenen Fussweg nehmen. Bei der Anreise hat Franco uns z.B. einen Parkplatz reserviert. Zum Be- und entladen kann man auch kurz vorm Haus parken.

Sommer in Varenna

Alles in allem eine traumhafte Unterbringung. Wir hatten alles was es zu Wohlfühlen braucht. Der Empfang und die Verständigung mit Franco klappte ausreichend gut, da unser beider gesprochenes Englisch etwas holprig war. Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist genial. Mit den zusätzlichen Badegästen am Kieselstrand konnten wir uns arrangieren. Die kleine Uferstraße ist vor allem am Wochenende etwas stark befahren, aber wir selber waren auch viel unterwegs und nachts hat es nicht weiter gestört. In der kleinen Bäckerei die Straße runter fanden wir alles was für das Frühstück gebraucht wurde. In Mandello und Varenna gibt es aber auch gut bestückte Supermärkte. In der ganzen Zeit wurde sehr akribisch auf CORONA SCHUTZ geachtet, anders als in Deutschland. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit und können das Fe-Haus nur weiterempfehlen.

Super Haus in toller Lage

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit im Haus von Franko. Die Lage war excellent, ich mochte Fiumelatte und saß fußläufig zu erreichende Varenna. Das Haus war super, gut eingerichtet, sauber und mit direktem Zugang am See. Es liegt zwar direkt an der Straße, aber wir haben die Türen geschlossen zum Wohnzimmer und zur Küche und es hat und nicht gestört. Meiner Meinung nach eine klare Empfehlung.

Uit de foto's blijkt niet hoe fantastisch dit huis is! Het uitzicht is ongelooflijk. Het strandje onder je raam met zalig zwemwater perfect. De balkons, de kamers de complete keuken, de ligging, de privacy! Tja als je hier geen vakantie gevoel krijgt dan weet ik het ook niet meer 😉 De 15 min wandeling naar Varenna om daar pizza te gaan eten is mooi. Een dag met de trein naar Milaan supper leuk en niet duur. Een dagkaart voor onbeperkt met de pond leverde ons 4 ijsjes op in elk pittoresk dorpje een. Als je toch graag een verbeter punt wil, neem een strand stoel of matje mee zeker als je met kleine kinderen gaat die je niet alleen op het strandje kunt laten spelen, de stenen zijn hard 😉 Wij hadden ook veel plezier met ons eigen opblaas bootje. Aan de rest is ALLEMAAL gedacht door de eigenaar van dit top huis. Maar,.... ssst niet aan iedereen vertellen anders is er geen plek meer volgend jaar als wij terug komen 😍😍😍

What you see op de website is what you get in Fiumelatte, een huis met drie volwaardige slaapkamers en een ruime badkamer, met een trapje dat onmiddellijk leidt naar het meer en waar je gewoon het meer instapt, induikt, opsurft of oproeit. Vanuit je slaapkamer of vanop het balkon voor de living heb je een goed uitzicht op een prachtige omgeving. Geniet, zoals wij, van uw vakantie!!!

Haus ist mit allem was man braucht komplett eingerichtet. Typisch italienisches Flair auf 3 Etagen. Durch die Lage direkt am See geniale Ausblicke aus allen Zimmern. Uferstrasse leider deutlich hörbar. Wem das nichts ausmacht: sofort buchen 😎 Varenna Zentrum zu Fuß in ca 15 Minuten erreichbar. Restaurant und eine urige Bäckerei mit ein wenig Tante Emma Artikeln in 50 m Entfernung.

Skønt hus direkte ved Como søen

Stort og dejligt hus med søudsigt fra alle rum. Vidunderlig balkon, hvor der var sol fra middag til solnedgang. Dejligt badevand. Ekstra badeværelse i kælderniveau, rart da vi var 5 voksne. 5 minutters kørsel til Varenna, der var en super hyggelig by. Fantastisk vandring i området. Franco var en meget rar og omhyggelig vært.

heerlijk ruim huis met fenomenaal uitzicht

Een ruim en schoon huis met als bonus het prachtige uitzicht op het como meer en de bergen. Alleen al daarom zou je het huis niet willen verlaten. Het standje begint onder het balkon en achter het huis beginnen de wandelroutes de bergen in. Zowel voor de zon liefhebber als de sportiever ingestelde vakantieganger zeer geschikt.

Very comfortable and quiet house, lots of space, 3 bedrooms, large clean bathroom and kitchen like in your own home. Access to the pebble beach right behind the house. 2 balconies facing the lake and its georgous views. Pleasant 15 min walk along the lake to Varenna with all its caffes, restaurants and bars. Pure pleasure. Very much reccomended.
