A lovely large country house with all possible amenities and a very kind hostess. We arrived at two in the morning and the house greeted us with lit lanterns near the front door, which was very touching.

This is our second visit, and the host and property are so welcoming
We booked the oak cottage close to Inverness with Veronica for a week as a base to start our trips around the country. Beautiful place, lots of animals around, quiet and clean. The perfect start for our holidays!
The home was fabulous, comfortable and well equipped. The animals on the hobby farm were a treat on our vacation. Great location to explore the area. Thank you!
The quaint crofter's cottage was a perfect home-base for exploring the Black Isle, Inverness, and Loch Ness. We enjoyed relaxing after our daily explorations of the area and cooking breakfast together in the mornings. Peaceful, happy times enjoyed by our family during our Highlands visit.
Second time staying here and it really is a “home from home”. Lovely and peaceful away from fireworks for our border collie who is terrified of them. Our son loved the chickens! Veronica left milk, eggs and biscuits which was so kind. Just a cosy wee cottage surrounded by Autumn colours with everything our family needed. Thank you!

We have stayed at this property three times now and have always found it to be warm and comfortable. The host is excellent and so helpful. The woodburning stove was just perfect this stay, due to the snow.
Modern and spaceious cottage on a nice little farm, very friendly host and cute dogs included. The living room is cozy and the kitchen was well equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. Aside from Loch Ness most points of interest are a bit further away so there is not too much to see around but the cottage totally makes up for that.
Welcomed like we were family! The house is very comfortable and has everything we needed. Lots of space inside and out. Loved being so close to the beautiful animals. Thank you Veronica!
Thank you Veronica, for the nice stay! We enjoyed your Croft and cottage! Your farm friends were great company.

Host was lovely, but we didnt realise it was on a main road which gets pretty busy with locals so not great for walking places from the property. Beautiful locations nearby though.
We spent 2 days at this property in the middle of our 2 week trip to Scotland. It was just what we needed as we were able to relax, cook some meals and still get out to see the sights in the area. The accommodation was very comfortable and did indeed feel like a home away from home. The friendly dogs and ponies were a great bonus!
A very well kept Cottage. The location is private and has quick access to several nearby areas including Inverness, Beauly, and Loch Ness. Has all the amenities you need for either a short or long stay.
That was an amazing experience. The host Veronica was an absolute delight and very helpful. The cottage was perfect, clean and very cozy. my daughter even helped feed the animals with Veronica. We will definitely book again the next time we are in Scotland. Cheers

Oak cottage felt like a home not a holiday let, we couldn't have been better provided for, the pictures do not do this property justice.
Brilliant cottage with easy access from road and ample parking space. A spacious, well equipped cottage. A nice welcome from our host with fresh rolls and eggs in the kitchen. Perfect base for our weekend away.
We loved the cottage. It is perfectly situated to enjoy Inverness and drive around the loch. The place was clean, and we had everything we needed to cook. Plenty of hot water! We loved seeing the farm animals on the property.
Great cottage on a working farm and Veronica was lovely. There is a fenced area to walk the dogs away from the livestock although detached from the cottage. Thanks Veronica!

About the host
Hosted by VERONICA TERVET
I was born and grew up on the property where the cottage sits. The cottage is where the original family home was, it was rebuilt 10 years ago. It is a passion of mine to share this beautiful area with people from all over and let them see what the Highlands has to offer.
Animals are a large part of my life and are all part of the family, come and feed the lambs, horses, hens, ducks and geese.
Red squirrels and woodpeckers can be seen in the woods beside the cottage. You can walk freely around the wood and enjoy the peace and quiet.
