Large 2 Bedroom, Frontline Apartment with Magnificent Views Of The Ria Formosa

We made a conscious effort to ensure that the apartment is a 'home away from home' - because to us, that's what it is. We have included extras that we would want from a holiday home - , radio, basic foods, books, DVDs, board games, beach towels, to name but a few. We want our guests to be able to relax, cook in if they want, watch TV or a DVD and chill out. We have installed an IPTV package to ensure you don't miss your favourite British TV programmes. This package also gives you access to unlimited broadband. The property is an extremely big 2 bedroom apartment (120 metres) with 2 bathrooms, so can easily accommodate 5 people comfortably. There is a beautiful private roof terrace, ideal for al fresco dining, as well as a balcony off the living room, with beautiful sea views, The apartment is ideally located, just a 3 minute walk from the beach and restaurants. There is no need to hire a car, as the train station is a 2 minute walk and travels the length of the Algarve as well as linking to Spain.

The apartment is in a lovely spot with fantastic views. It is good value for the area. It would benefit from a new mattress in the master bedroom and replacement tv as there is an issue with the screen (very purple).

A Fuseta Must!

Absolutely fantastic very well equipped spotlessly clean apartment and a TV with English channels and wifi included is an added bonus. Perfect location whether you are looking for a great meal out, a trip on the train or for food shopping as there is a very well stocked local supermarket within a short stroll. Can't wait to return and would definitely recommend.

Beautiful and very spacious apartment with amazing views from the balcony and the roof top varanda. Fantastic communication with Helen the owner. Extremely helpful. The check-in and check-out was great. The location where the apartment is situated is nice, very close to the lagoon beach is about 5 minutes walk and so is the ferry to go to the Fuzeta beach. The mini supermarket a couple of minutes walk, has fresh, warm bread every morning. Prices are comparable to the big supermarkets. We definitely recommend this apartment and the area.

We had a fantastic time in Fuzeta. The apartment had everything you would need for a perfect holiday. There were lots of lovely restaurants within walking distance and the beaches were beautiful. We really enjoyed going to the tapas restaurant on the square. We are planning to return next year because we had such a lovely holiday. Helen was extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend both the apartment and the area.

Wonderful Fuseta

We loved the laid back charm of Fuseta- it felt safe and friendly. The views from the roof terrace of the Ria Formosa was spectacular, the swimming at the town beach and out on Île de Fuseta was brilliant and it was so lovely not to need a car- the train station is just a minutes walk away, new spectacular bird life of the salt flats a five minute walk and we also hired bikes to explore the area a bit more. Helen was a very communist- thanks so much

Brilliant stay

Great location, spacious apartment with fabulous views over the Ria Formosa. Well equipped with all the kitchen utensils you need. It’s 2 mins from Fusete A train station so easy to get to from Faro and for day trips to Tavira, Olhao and Spanish border. We were there for 5 days and didn’t need a car. Lots of lovely restaurants in the village and the seafood is amazing. The beach is a 5 to 10 minute walk away, suitable for all ages, it has sun beds and a great beach bar. The sea is quite shallow and calm as it’s sheltered by an island in front, so would be ideal for young families. If you want the crashing waves of the Atlantic hop on the little ferry from the port that runs across to the islands every 30 minutes or so (depending on the season). We went early May before the bar and facility’s were open so best to take a picnic. This is our second holiday in Fusete and stay in the apartment and we hope to visit again.

Entspannte Urlaubswoche in schönem Appartement

Wir hatten eine entspannte und schöne Urlaubswoche in dem schönen Appartement. Alles war sehr sauber, ich habe zu ersten Mal in einer Ferienwohnung nicht Geschirr und Besteck nachgespült. Zusätzlicher Luxus: Jedes Schlafzimmer hatte ein eigenes Bad. Wir hatten ein paar Tage ziemlichen Regen, trotzdem sind wir uns im Appartement nicht auf die Füße getreten. Die Dachterasse ist toll, über eine Wendeltreppe erreichbar, mit einem unglaublichen Ausblick. Liegen, Tische, Stühle und ein Sonnenschirm stehen zur Verfügung. Helen war eine sehr freundliche und kommunikative Gastgeberin, vielen Dank an dieser Stelle für alles.

Houve uma mudança de toalhas a meio da estadia, o que foi agradável, mas ao mesmo tempo ficamos surpreendidos por entrarem na nossa casa sem aviso prévio. A lovely apartment

The apartment is clean. The bed was comfortable. The sheets were soft. There was a small view from the porch and a large view from the roof top terrace. Conveniently located. Near shops, restaurants and the beach. Since it was during Covid, we had to let ourselves in. The owner graciously helped us from Ireland.

Heerlijk appartement maar o zo slechte bedden

Het appartement is heerlijk, zowel locatie als inhoud. Echter de bedden zijn afschuwelijk: springveren matrassen zonder balans; als een persoon zich omdraait, deint de ander mee (net als op een ongebalanseerd waterbed). Ik heb op de bank moeten slapen want met twee personen op een twee-persoonsbed levert slapeloze nachten voor beide personen.

Impossible to sleep

The apartment was really nice and clean but the tv was very small. The pool was great. Unfortunately we couldn't sleep since the beds were to soft. Also there was a lot of noise at night. The outside fan for the central air conditioning was on the balcony outside the master bedroom and was clearly audible in the master bedroom. Then there was a cupboard outside of the apartment, just outside the other bedroom, with water meters for each apartment on the floor, that started ticking very loudly every night between around 2 am until 4 am and made an awful noise. Also there were a lot of dogs barking in the area at night. Sadly we had to leave two nights earlier from the apartment since we couldn't sleeep. We had really not expected this since the apartment had good reviews and looked really nice.

Lovely apartment in a beautiful quiet village by the sea, just what we needed.

The apartment was lovely, the local agent met us despite our being over 2 and a half hours late due to flight delay. We thought the apartment was great, a couple of minor niggles that probably wouldn't bother many people were that the parasol on the roof was too insubstantial to stand up to the coastal breeze and didn't cast enough shade to enable us to sit on the roof terrace during the day, and that no cleaning products (washing up/laundry liquid) were provided, even though the apartment details asked us to wash the beach towels. Also, there was no hairdryer. Some of this probably wouldn't bother most people but for such a short stay we were travelling light with hand luggage only so didn't have much space. Fuseta was easy to find our way around and we enjoyed the local food and a day at the beach. I would definitely recommend the apartment and the area to anyone looking for a Portugal break based in a quieter area in the Algarve. We didn't use the train on this visit but it's so close that anyone staying for longer could easily travel further afield to explore. A big Thank you to the owner too, whose communication and recommendations helped us make the most of our short break, I'm very envious of your Algarve hideaway.

Even better than described

We had a perfect stay in this apartment as a family with a three year old and a baby. Though it's also perfect for 4 adults. The apartment has everything you need in terms of tools and utensils, some things are somewhat outdated, but overall it worked well for us. The apartment is spacious, and really has it all: balcony, huge roof terrace with 360 view, swimming pool, indoor garage, and you'll easily walk into town or to the beach. Fuseta is a really nice town, many places to eat or have a coffee (with pastel de nata). Also the lunch and dinner times were not that late as compared to Spain for example, where kitchens don't open until 2 pm / 8 pm, which is critical when traveling with young kids. We also cooked in the apartment, that worked out fine too, there's a dish washer too, so all fine.

Tolle Ferienwohnung in Toplage mit Blick auf die Naturlagune

Die Ferienwohnung bietet mit ca. 120 m**2 viel Platz für 4 Erwachsene. Es sind alle Einrichtungen vorhanden, die man für einen Urlaub benötigt. Die Lage ist ruhig, mit einem Blich aufs Meer. Die riesige Dachterrasse konnten wir leider noch nicht nutzen, da das Wetter im April nicht warm genug war. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants sind in der Nähe. Mit der Bahn kann man die Umgebung auch ohne Auto stressfrei und kostengünstig erkunden. Fuseta ist noch unberührt vom Massentourismus. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Helen and Andrew are from Dublin, and bought their apartment in 2009. They had always dreamt of having a place by the sea and although they knew central Algarve well, they had never been further east than Faro. Neighbours introduced them to Fuseta, a Portuguese village on the eastern coast of the Algarve with spectacular views of the Ria Formosa lagoon. They fell in love with the area , so much so that they got married in nearby Tavira two years later! They have been to the area numerous times since 2009 and have written a detailed information pack on the area - activities , daytrips , best places to eat etc. This is updated after every trip and is furnished to all guests .

Why they chose this property

When we first came to Fuseta it felt like stepping back in time. The area is very unspoilt and the village is an old fashioned, traditional fishing village where everyone knows everyone. The locals speak just enough English to get by, but they welcome tourists with open arms. They work mostly in restaurants or in the fishing trade and are very family oriented. The beaches are very beautiful and the restaurants serve delicious food at a fraction of what it costs anywhere else on the Algarve. And, of course, there’s guaranteed sunshine from mid April through to mid October! All in all , a lovely, laid back holiday destination.

What makes this property unique

The amazing beaches are amongst the biggest attractions in the area. They have plenty of facilities like sun beds, restaurants and toilets, and are incredibly unspoilt, uncrowded and perfect for long walks and water sports. The area is characterised by ‘sandspit’ beaches, meaning they are separated from the mainland by a lagoon and have to be reached by a ferry boat or water taxi.

A 10 minute drive from Fuseta is Barril Beach which is accessed by a little locomotive train. The area used to be a tuna village and the buildings are still standing but have now been converted into cafés, restaurants, shops and other facilities for tourists. A more romantic alternative is to get a water taxi from Fuzeta to a nearby deserted beach.
