About this property

Waterfront Home on Lake Tapps

Come enjoy a beautiful lakefront property! The kitchen was remodeled in August, 2021, and an 8 foot tall French door was installed leading to the deck. The upper level Master Suite features a king bed overlooking the lake and adjoins a sumptuous en suite bath with a double shower, soaking tub, and heated tile floor. Two additional bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with two twins, and a full bath complete the upper level.

The downstairs features an open plan family and dining area, a living room with a full-sized pool table, a dining room with table seating six, and a laundry room and a ½ bath. The spacious kitchen features new stainless steel appliances and offers island seating for four and has large windows overlooking the deck and lake so you can enjoy the view and keep an eye on your family and friends while preparing meals. An additional table for six sits nearby.

If you tire of spending time on the lake or in the yard, you can always retreat to the family room and relax in front of the flat screen tv or shoot a game of pool. The hot tub on the deck is another great option, too. A gazebo in the back features a seating area and a rock fireplace, perfect for gathering in the evenings and roasting marshmallows for s’mores. In winter months, the house is conveniently located about 45 from Crystal Mountain Ski Resort.

In the summer months, swim in the lake or paddle our sit-on-top kayaks along the extensive 45 mile shoreline. The lake has many inlets and interesting places to explore, and much of it offers gorgeous views of Mt. Rainier.

Please note that Lake Tapps is a reservoir that is lowered from late October through late April each year, and motor boat access is unavailable during these months. The lake level lowers approximately 3-10 feet.

Amazing lake house

This was our second time renting the property. Perfectly situated on Lake Tapps with an amazing view. Between the hot tub, kayaks and outdoor fire place you will want to spend all of your time outside. This is a wonderful home and provided the setting for an amazing weekend.

Everything was as advertised. Incredibly clean and well-maintained property. Beautiful outside fireplace and jacuzzi with a stunning view of the lake. I just wish we had more time here. Lori and Ray have a wonderful lake house and we were absolutely wowed in staying here.

So many vacation rentals feel like they're just that. Sort of used and uncared for with a minimal quality standard. This home feels like you're at a good friend's house. Five stars all the way from location, physical home, owner communication, etc. Will definitely come back.

Several problems we shared with owner and they did not respond to us! Very bad beds in master and spare bedrooms. Got in the beds and both rolled into the middle! BBQ was moldy and no propane. Had to sear steaks on stove and vent didn't work and set off fire alarm! Liked the location, grounds and overall space.

Staycation

This was a nice and comfortable home on a quiet cove on Lake Tapps. You have the option for a covered outdoor seating areas (with a fireplace) or the uncovered patio (with hot tub) to sit and enjoy the beautiful lake. The home is well maintained, clean, has comfortable beds and comes equipped with bath towels and also outdoor beach towels. One call out is that I think there's an apartment or working area over the garage so someone was coming and going during our stay. That was not a big deal but the first night I was alone at the house and I was a bit caught off guard when I went for a walk and saw a random truck in the driveway. It would have been nice to know someone would be coming and going ahead of time. The lawn care folks also surprised me when they showed up in the backyard. Again, not a problem just would have been nice to know I should expect them. Even with those two minor call outs we really enjoyed our stay-- I would highly recommend this house for a family that's looking for a getaway to the lake. Thank you!
