About this property

Farmhouse

Le Cosquer has 4properties,if you want to bring all the family for a get together.

We find that the children make friends in the games room, which is open to everyone.

Le Cosquer is situated one mile outside of the village of St Connec, which comprises a church, Mairie and play area, found in all French villages and a bar. Just five miles away is Lake de Guerledan, with sandy beaches and safe bathing for those who do no want the hustle and bustle of sea beaches. Boat trips, water sports, fishing, cycling and walking are all available in this very beautiful area. If you have your own boat, bring it! There are no launch fees and launching is very easy. For all you mad keen fishermen and women out there you will be spoilt for choice in the area around your gite. The area surrounding St Connec has many pretty villages with superb restaurants and churches, and along with the Napoleonic Castle at Pontivy, Bon Repos Abbey, La Forge des Salles, all go towards making this a great area of architectural study. For those who prefer the sea, Carnac, with its long, sandy beaches, the megaliths and the oyster beds, is an easy hour's drive away. The beaches in the North, which don't get so busy, and as the coast is more rocky there are little pools to play in and many shells to be found.

Le Cosquer has been my home for the last 15 years and I just love the slow pace of life.
We brought the beautiful property 15 years ago and I haven't stopped working on it.

Why they chose this property

We brought the property after falling in love with it and seeing its potential. The local villages love the English and we have a very sociable life.
There are lots of places to visit around the local area

What makes this property unique

The region is of a similar climate to Cornwall being a littler warmer. Although there are micro climates throughout Brittany and this means the weather can be as hot as Spain in some places.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area including the beaches at Carnac and Binic.
During the summer there are lots of festivals going on throughout the region including the festival at Bon Repos which is outstanding and is over 2 weekends in August.
Just a 10 minute drive away is the Lac de Guerdelan. It is a beautiful lake which has a man made beach which is lovely for young and old. There are many activities in the local area.
