Short stay with kids
We were late arriving but Andy was on site to meet us and we checked in immediately and even managed an evening dip in the pool after a hot few hours travelling. The pool was brilliant. Shallow enough at one end for the youngest child (3yr old) but deep at the other to challenge the older kids. Even though it’s a shared a pool we had it to ourselves most times we swam and we swam twice nearly every day. Great location, cycle route only a few km’s away, Lac du Guerledan wasn’t far away for a nice day out and the house was close to Mur-de-Bretagne too. The house was clean and tidy and suited our needs and there was plenty of space outside for the kids; green area, swings and even a ping pong table in the barn. Thanks for everything Andy!

Our stay was made most welcome - we fully enjoyed ourselves and had the wonderful weather enabling us to swim in the pool - Jo and Andy are making a real effort in their first year here and deserve great success. We fully recommend and look forward to staying again.

First time in France!!
This was my first experience of holidaying in France. We booked at very short notice for a 4 day break. Excellent commuication with the owners, they were really helpfull. We travelled over via the channel tunnel but the next time we return we'll definately come over on the ferry! The location is rural but really stunning!! The property is beautiful I'd recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, peaceful holiday! We found a Lidl store and the wine was priced from 1 euro 59 +, as we also have a 8 mth old baby we tended to dine in rather than going out! Our children aged 14, 10, & 6 wanted to spend all their time at the farmhouse exploring the couryard , gardens & games room, they didn't once complain of being bored!! Unfortunately as we only had 3 full days by the time we found our way around ( it was our first time driving abroad!) it was time to leave, but we will definately be returning as soon as we can!! The owners Andy & Jo were lovely really helpfull, pleasant people they helped us with directions numerous times and we did spend one afternoon at a lovely lake beach! The only thing I felt uncomfortable with was how bad my French is!!! Although we found everyone we encountered to be really polite!! We took our car as you would need one because of the rural setting but overall a positive first time experience for myself and my family and we'll most definately be returning in the future.

Le Cosquer has been my home for the last 5 years and I just love the slow pace of life.
We brought the beautiful property 5 years ago and I haven't stopped improving it. This year the swimming pool has been refurbished and we are constantly adding things to Le Cosquer to make your holiday enjoyable.

Why they chose this property

We brought the property after falling in love with it and seeing its potential. The local villages love the English and we have a very sociable life.
There are lots of places to visit around the local area

What makes this property unique

The region is of a similar climate to Cornwall being a littler warmer. Although there are micro climates throughout Brittany and this means the weather can be as hot as Spain in some places.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area including the beaches at Carnac and Binic.
During the summer there are lots of festivals going on throughout the region including the festival at Bon Repos which is outstanding and is over 2 weekends in August.
Just a 10 minute drive away is the Lac de Guerdelan. It is a beautiful lake which has a man made beach which is lovely for young and old. There are many activities in the local area.
