Property was v clean, comfortable and peaceful. It was lovely to have a private hot tub and the surrounding area was great for walking and great scenery. Would recommend this lodge especially; lovely view of the fields.

Amazing getaway with a beautiful location and lodge
This property exceeded our expectations. Beautiful location - far enough away to be quiet and peaceful but not so far away from anything that you felt stranded. Hot tub was amazing and very much appreciated at the end of each day when we had been out walking in Cheddar etc. Bed and facilities were all excellent. I would strongly recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a quiet and beautiful break. Highly recommend. x
We have had a wonderful time at primrose lodge.. The lodge has everything you need and more the hot tub is amazing ❤️ we will definitely be back.. The area is so wonderfully quiet and peaceful just what we needed 😊
Just everything you could need or want. Very clean and stocked with all the things you would need or want, hot tub pre heated and a welcome guide with list of shops, activities and takeaways listed.
Booked online, when we arrived we were not disappointed- beautiful lodge, lots of home comforts. Very well equipped to cook if you want.
Beds were so comfy, pillows were amazing.
Loved using the hot tub. We would definitely stay again.
Finished to a very high standard, attention to details excellent(loved ceiling lights, beautiful, and cushions)
We had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Views amazing.
We had a lovely relaxing girls weekend at Tor Farm staying in Primrose! Hot tub is always an added bonus! Property was welcoming. We only had a few minor gripes; cobwebs in lots of the rooms, we also could not put up our outdoor parasol as it was infested with flies which unfortunately did at times come into the property. Bags In the bathroom bins would also have been helpful! But overall we had a lovely time and would definitely come again!

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and so sorry you had a couple of issues that have failed us getting our usual 5* review.
Please always phone while onsite if there is an issue, we live onsite and would have rectified and changed the parasol immediately had we known there was a problem with it. It has been removed this morning on change over.
In regards to cobwebs I will discuss with cleaning team as high and low is done every change over on a Monday and Friday. Being that time of year where the spiders are moving indoors it could just be that as you didn't arrive until the Saturday afternoon/evening that a few spiders had been busy overnight. As above always phone, I would have been happy to come down and remove any spiders and new webs that had been made.
We are pleased that you would love to visit again and look forward to welcoming you and showing you our usual 5* standard.
Many thanks
Karen, Ben and family
Superior lodge, fitted with modern quality fittings and furnishings. Extremely clean and well equipped with lots of attention to detail. The hot tub was glorious and the privacy of the lodges is very well planned. We would all definitely recommend this property and would love to return.
Lodges bit closer than we thought but didt effect our stay, peaceful, relaxing beautiful lodge. Will definatly book again, also had local curry house delivery to the site and Chinese and both were excellent .
We had the best stay and will return. The cabin is ultra clean, very comfortable and does live up to the ‘luxury’ title. Perfect location, a great getaway.
We loved Primrose Lodge, with a beautiful outside area with sun loungers and hot tub, with stunning views. The pool was amazing with a booking system (due to Covid) which worked excellently. We had a bbq one night and also went out to the Ship Inn for dinner. We had a fabulous time and would recommend the lodges to anyone.
Everything was perfect from beginning to end. A beautiful site in the most perfect, peaceful setting. The lodge was top end through out and had everything we needed. The beds so very comfortable with beautiful quality bedding. We were very lucky to have beautiful weather to wind down and relax and make the most of our stay. We could easily of stayed longer! We are planning a return trip in the autumn. We all agreed this was the best lodge and setting we've ever stayed in. Thank you Karen and Ben x
Amazing lodge the lodge was 100% immaculate for how clean it was and facilities were excellent will be back again soon

About the host
Hosted by Karen Hansford
Brian and Caroline Ladd, both in their sixties, have lived at Tor Farm for 33 years and originally farmed the land. They have brought up 4 children who all left home and now have 8 grandchildren to enjoy. For the last 24 years they have offered B&B in the farmhouse, but now want to take things a little quieter, and are just offering 9 holiday cottages, so that they can spend more time with their family. Their main interests are gardening, playing bridge and touring Britain in their caravan.
Why they chose this property
We originally bought the land, the holiday cottages now stand on in 1985, when it was a dairy farm. We have farmed for many years until it was no longer viable, and decided to turn the old farm yard, and farm house in to luxury self catering holiday accommodation. We still live on site, so we can welcome new arrivals, and sort out any concerns or problems guests may have.
What makes this property unique
You can enjoy the countryside from your own door step. Private hot tubs to massage away everyday stresses. Car parking close to accommodation. Shared heated swimming pool to exercise in or just relax on the terraces. 4 lodges dog friendly. Walk your dogs down the quiet country lane outside the cottage. Close to Cheddar Gorge, Longleat Safari Park and the coast.
