In the beautiful historic town of Fowey, set around a stunning harbour, Duchy Cottage is a charming 3 bedroom (two double and one twin room) property. It has been lovingly refurbished to the highest standard, with modern kitchen and bathroom and has recently been awarded Four Star Gold status from Visit England Quality and Tourism. The property also offers a sheltered courtyard, perfect for eating alfresco and capturing the Cornish sunshine. The cottage is ideal for all seasons; with a light open-plan living space, ideal for warm summer evenings, yet also having cosy sofas and gas central heating for the cooler months. Beyond the homely accommodation, the town's narrow streets provide many quality shops and galleries selling local produce and art. There are plenty of opportunities to soak up the Cornish atmosphere whether it's having a cream tea or enjoying a hearty Cornish pasty. Across the River is the village of Polruan with a regular passenger ferry running back and forth allowing you to enjoy even more coastal paths which boast the stunning Cornish Coastline. A little way up the river, there is a car ferry allowing you to access numerous attractions further afield. Duchy Cottage is a wonderful place to relax and unwind.

Perfectly-located cottage for the delights of Fowey

Clean, simple and well-equipped cottage. Parking at the top of town, but because you can onload the car literally outside the door, this was not an issue.

Great cottage in Fowey

Tracy’s cottage in Fowey was perfect for our New Years stay. Great quiet location away from the main road and high street but a short 5 min walk to the shops and restaurants. The place was spotless, very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for us and our 2 children. Would definitely stay again.

Great spot for Fowey just a 2 minute walk down the hill and everything you need is there the cottage itself is perfect with everything you need available and a pub next door had a great stay

Glorious Fowey

Last week of school holidays - so a little quieter than peak season. Cottage in fantastic location and so much to do in Fowey that barely used the car. Tracey really helpful - especially when someone locked themselves out - though worse places to lock yourself than in Fowey. Would certainly visit again

Lovely stay in Fowey

We have stayed at Duchy Cottage on several occasions and as always we had a wonderful time!The cottage is always beautifully clean and well equipped. The outside space is a plus! It is well located, close to shops, restaurants and a 10-15 minute walk to be beach. There is a car park close by which always has plenty of spaces. There is lots to see and do in and around Fowey. We particularly enjoy doing the Hall Walk, renting kayaks from Fowey River Hire and paddling down the estuary and of course having a cream tea! We would thoroughly recommend and look forward to our next stay!!

Ducky cottage

Delightful stay with every amenity catered for cottage is well equipped with everything you could possibly need very clean and modern whilst still maintaining its quaint charm only one little downside parking! This should really be addressed in the advertising explaining it’s a good 10 min uphill walk to car park which you have to pay for separately £44 pound a week per car

Perfect stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. It had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and it's only a short distance from the town and harbour. We chose not to cook and to eat out but if you wanted to cook then the kitchen was well stocked with every kitchen item you would need. So much thought had gone in to the cottage, being a home from home experience. If you do decide to eat out then we highly recommend The Safe Harbour (right next door) The Galleon Inn, Haveners and The Lugger, all served great food. All in all we had a lovely relaxed stay and would love to return in the future.

Simply lovely

Great location, sweet cottage, great facilities.. All you could need for a fab hols in Fowey. Beautiful harbour town with lovely cove beach and all facilities that you need for a lot of fun in one place. Highly recommended.

Family holiday

Lovely cottage and close to all amenities in Fowey. Fully equipped. Very comfortable beds and front bedrooms had a slight harbour view. Pub next door were friendly. The only negative is the outside table was not cleaned prior to our arrival. Would stay here again.

Lovely cottage in Fowey

The cottage is in a great spot EXCEPT for the buses that stop outside from the crack of dawn until late at night. It is right next door to a pub too and can be a bit noisy, especially if your children go to bed before the patrons leave for the night... Apart from that though, we did have a lovely week at Duchy Cottage. There was everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The beds are soooo comfy!

tolles Haus!

Wir waren mit vier Erwachsenen und zwei Teenagern dort und haben uns eine Woche lang sehr wohl in diesem gemütlichen Cottage gefühlt. Das Haus ist super eingerichtet und hat wirklich alles, was man braucht! Das WLAN war sehr gut und die Küche so gut ausgestattet wie ich es selten erlebt habe. Zu Fuss ist man in 5 Minuten im Ortszentrum, wo es auch einen kleinen (!) Supermarkt gibt. Der Ort Fowey ist ein sehr idyllischer Ort mit netten kleinen Geschäften und schönen Lokalen direkt am Wasser. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war ausgesprochen nett und die Schlüsselübergabe problemlos. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit in Dutchy Cottage!

Lovely holiday in Fowey

We have had an excellent week away in Duchy Cottage. The benefit of the excellent location into town was a real plus point. On the whole the cottage suited us as a family with a 4 yr old and a baby with a highchair and cot provided, however being next door to a pub and outside smokers as well as frequent buses and no parking weren’t ideal, it was particularly noisy on a Friday / Saturday night, but the positives do outweigh these issues. There is a steep hill coming back from town, but it is such a short walk it never seemed a problem. We managed to find off road parking not too far away so saved on the parking charges. Fowey is a lovely town with a great atmosphere and good places to eat, we also enjoyed visits to Mevagissey & Charlestown. Thank you to the owners for providing us with useful info on the area.

Relaxation in Cornwall

The property was comfortable and well appointed. Unfortunately the peace was broken every half hour as the bus departure point is immediately outside and runs from early morning to late evening.
