Spring Barn at Bolberry Court is a 4 star Gold rated, 5 bedroom barn conversion renovated to offer the highest standard of comfort and luxury. The reverse-level accommodation affords superb views of the surrounding countryside whilst the extensive gardens provide plenty of private outdoor space. Oak or tile flooring coupled with underfloor central heating throughout and a log burner in the lounge makes this a comfortable bolt hole at any time of year. The property is fully equipped for groups or families with small children. Nintendo wii entertainment system. Free wifi broadband. Up to two well behaved dogs are permitted on the upper level only (i.e. not in bedrooms or bathrooms). LOCATION:- the peaceful hamlet of bolberry nestles in a valley less than half a mile from the national trust owned bolberry down and the dramatic south west coast path. The village of malborough, with two pubs, a post office and coop mini-supermarket, is a mile or so away. A similar distance down the valley is the delightful old fishing village of hope cove with beautiful sandy beaches, tea room, shop, hope & anchor pub and restaurants. VIEWS:- from the garden and first floor there are beautiful views of surrounding woodland and countryside across the valley. ENTRANCE:- the barn is accessed from the garden into the lower hall way with tiled floor and storage for coats and shoes. KITCHEN/DINING ROOM:- a large, bright open-plan room with beamed ceilings. The well equipped shaker-style kitchen includes electric ceramic hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave and blender, with a further fridge and tumble-dryer in an outbuilding. Children's crockery/cutlery provided. The large oak table provides seating for 10. CLOAKROOM:- accessed from the upper hall is a cloakroom with WC and wash-hand basin. LOUNGE:- the large living room with feature window, giving views of the garden and countryside beyond, leads off the dining room and has three 3-seater sofas, log burner, 65 inch smart TV, Apple TV and SONOS wireless stereo system throughout the property. Nintendo wii entertainment system. Basket of infants toys. BEDROOMS:- five bedrooms in total. On the ground floor, the master bedroom has a king-size bed, wardrobe, drawers and en-suite with bath & overhead shower, wash-hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, wardrobe and drawers and en-suite with shower, wash-hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are similar sized twin rooms, each with two 3’ single beds and wardrobe or drawers. A further fifth bedroom on the first floor has a two-seater futon (with panel mattress) which extends to provide an extra double bed. A travel cot and high-chair are available with stair gate at the top of the stairs. N. B. All duvets, pillows, bed linen and towels are provided. BATHROOMS:- in addition to the en suites mentioned above there is a family bathroom with bath & overhead shower, wash-hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. OUTSIDE:- large, extensive west-facing gardens with lawn and paved areas. The upper level has a gate that opens onto the lane leading to hope cove and a gravelled area with picnic bench. Lawn and steps lead to the lower area with further lawn and a paved area with tables, chairs and sun-umbrella. Little Tikes junior activity slide. Fully enclosed so ideal for children. PARKING:- for up to four cars or boats (max).

We really enjoyed our stay at Spring Barn. The cottage is spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. It is ideally located between Salcombe and Hope Cove, with fabulous clifftop walks nearby.
Beautiful property, in a stunning location. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every utensil you could possibly require. Clean rooms and all bedrooms of a reasonable size. The host provided extensive details of local walks, beaches and places to eat - our favourite being the Hope and Anchor, in the stunning Hope Cove. A lovely week with friends and family.

Lovely property about 10 minutes drive from coastal path and lovely beaches. Salcombe is well worth a visit and also Blackpool sands further up the coast. There is a lovely cafe there and we had a great breakfast. Plymouth is about an hour away and the national trust property Saltram House is well worth a visit.
Great location. Lovely accommodation, with all bedrooms great size, lounge large and bright, and a massive dining table. Kitchen had everything you could need, and more crocks than seen anywhere else. All very clean and tidy. A very comfortable home from home for a family holiday including toddlers and dogs. Would definitely think about going back.
Our first time to the Salcombe area, which we really enjoyed, both Salcombe and the spectacular surrounding coastline and villages.

This is a great house, with a lovely garden - the house has all amenities, everything in good working order. The power showers in particular are excellent. The house is within easy reach of all the prettiest beaches in the Salcombe area - Hope cove, Bantham, North and South Sands, Thurlestone etc The owner John was very helpful and prompt with answering any questions I had , and the cleaner Jackie was excellent .
We have stayed several times and keep coming back. The owners are very helpful, the house is immaculate and the position is perfect. Close enough to walks, pubs and beaches but far enough for absolute peace. Love it.

We all enjoyed our stay in this wonderful holiday house.
Very roomy , well equipped, great garden, comfy beds, near some lovely beaches and country walks , we could not have asked for more.
We are a family of 8 people from aged 9 months to 70 years old and a dog, we would definitely consider staying at Spring Barn again.
Good communication with the owner too who responds immediately .
We highly recommend Spring Barn .
Excellent holiday house for multi generational family. A second key would have been useful for the evenings......with some family members in/some out!

Excellent accommodation for the family
Ideal property for the extended family to stay in. A beautifully quiet spot very close to Hope Cove and Salcombe which allowed us to explore the coastal area at our leisure. The quality of accommodation was very good (clean and tidy) with all the facilities/equipment we needed for all ages (3 months to 86 years old). Would thoroughly recommend it for a holiday.

A Beautiful Cottage in a Great Location
We stayed at Spring Barn as 4-couples for a friends wedding which was nearby. Spring Barn was everything we hoped it would be and more, all the rooms were a good size and it was clean and comfortable throughout. We walked to the beach easily and enjoyed a BBQ in Garden, which is very well kept.
I'd thoroughly recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

Beautiful gardens and a fabulous cottage.
The cottage is really well equipped, very clean and tidy. Superb place to stay for a large group or 2 families sharing with 2 bedrooms having en suites. The beds were very comfortable and the ambiance cosy. It was like home from home. We loved our stay.

Incredibly comfortable, brilliantly equipped!
We often holiday in the UK as a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) and this property really stood out for us. It's very comfortable and brilliantly equipped, with a beautiful garden. We also found it to be a great location for walks and beaches. A real find, we hope to return!

fantastic barn in great location
Fantastic converted Barn , very private and quiet location. The barn is very spacious and has a very high spec. Contains everything you need for a holiday, spotlessly clean and well maintained inside and out. I would highly recommend this property. Hope cove, kings bridge and salcombe very near by, great beaches/walks and plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from.
We will definitely be returning soon.

Great house, great location!
We have a week in the South Hams every year and we've stayed here twice now and never been disappointed. The property is clean, spacious, very comfortable and is well equipped with everything you might need. It is a typical barn conversion with bedrooms downstairs and living area upstairs with a good sized garden and plenty of parking. Bolberry is a quiet hamlet which does have some campsites but we never heard any noise. The night sky is spectacular with so little light pollution and whilst it is situated next to the road, it's not a busy road and we hardly noticed it. But the real draw for us is the location. We've been blessed with perfect weather whilst staying here so honestly spent most of our time out walking, or on the beach or sat outside a pub! It is perfectly placed, sheltered as it is in the pretty valley which runs down to Hope Cove. Ten minutes up the hill brings you out on Bolberry Down and a simply stunning stretch of SW Coast path. Turn left for Soar Mill Cove, Bolt Head, Salcombe etc; turn right for Hope Cove, Thurleston, Bigbury etc.
Communications and booking process very easy with helpful owner who provides all the information you might need for your stay and is easily contactable if you do have some questions.
One more word of advice, there is absolutely no mobile 'phone coverage so have contingency plans. For me, this only adds to the bliss!

Spring Barn, idyllic South Hams cottage
Thank you for a wonderful week at Spring Barn, we have just returned from a family holiday to celebrate a very special birthday.
Spring Barn was a real home from home, beautifully furnished, very spacious and extremely well equipped, accommodating our large family of nine, spanning three generations, comfortably. We appreciated the many thoughtful touches, from the children's crockery and basket of toys, which the grandchildren loved playing with, to the Wii and board games, which kept the grown ups entertained in the evening.
The gardens were well laid out and tranquil, with plenty of space for the children to run around and blow bubbles, whilst their parents enjoyed badminton and boules on the lawn. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a barbeque on the terrace or while away a few hours after a day on the beach.
I would highly recommend Spring Barn and would like to thank you for all your help and support in enabling us to book the property when we'd had cancellations with two other cottages.

John and Laurie Callaghan live and work in Hamble near Southampton and John manages the property and all bookings for the property.
