Love the location. This property just needs some love. If kitchen and bathrooms could be updated, it would be fabulous! Beds and pillows were really comfortable and bedding was pretty. Kitchen has everything you would need and table was great. Couch in the condo is large and very comfortable. View is incredible.

Location was great. Views from every room were beautiful. Pool and amenities were great for families. Could use more bike racks, as the current ones were so full you couldn’t use them. Close to coligny circle and shopping and restaurants. Condo was clean but dated. Kitchens and bathrooms could use updating.A few issues upon arrival -A/C filters covered in layers of dust/dirt, bathroom fan not working, light bulbs burnt out. Issues were addressed with rental company and it was easy to communicate with them.

We had a nice stay at Shorewood! Our biggest issue was the blasted balcony sliding door- it was very obviously broken off the track somehow so it was a pain to open and close it. It would get stuck and take a lot of strength to get it to open and or close. I worked up a sweat a few times messing with it and my older mother couldn’t open or close it on her own. I feel like since it was so obviously broken and mentioned in past reviews, this is definitely something that should have already been fixed. Aside from that, the place was beautiful and worked perfectly for my family. We did manage to lose power for about two hours the morning of check out. That’s no fault of the renters and completely unavoidable. The only other inconvenience was that you had to go to a totally different location to pick up your bracelets and parking permits. Having those at the entrance gate instead would be more convenient. Otherwise, everything went smoothly and as expected! I would definitely recommend and stay again given the sliding door is repaired. It’s a beautiful property with stunning views!

There were pros and cons we found to this property. I’ll start with the cons because the backend of the rental left a really bad taste in our mouths. We left the unit cleaned as directed but we were still assessed a 500.00 charge for having moved one of the beds into a different position in the bunk room to accommodate our son and his wife. Unfortunately, we didn’t even know this had happened because they had moved it before we saw the room’s original configuration - otherwise we would have been happy to put it back in place. There was otherwise no damage whatsoever to anything part of the property. 500 seems ridiculous for such a small “infraction”. Especially when the rest of the units condition was taken into account. The icemaker didn’t work. The curtains were all filthy and the rods came down every time we tried to open or close the curtains. The cable tv repeatedly lost service. And the kitchen and bathrooms were EXTREMELY dated. It was also frustrating that there was no on site reception or office as we’ve typically found with other properties. Pros: Excellent location and great beachfront views. Well stocked kitchen with more than enough pots, pans, baking dishes, plates, glasses and utensils (although the knives were in desperate need of sharpening). Would we choose this one again? Sadly, no.

We're sorry to hear your stay did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the bunk room, the charge was not for simply moving the furniture. Unfortunately, the bed frames were damaged and had to be repaired and secured before the next guests arrived. We also appreciate you bringing the other maintenance concerns to our attention. We wish we had known about the ice maker, curtain rods, cable service, and other issues during your stay, as none of these were reported to us at the time. Our maintenance team takes pride in responding quickly, and we would have welcomed the opportunity to address these items so you could fully enjoy your vacation.

The condo has a wonderful view of the ocean and the pool. There is great access path to the beach and the pool is nice. The condo itself is not like what is pictured. It is old with no real updates. The kitchen appliances are old, they work but if you use the oven for example, you need to cook longer or have hire set temp in order to cook even just a pizza. The bathroom and kitchen sink and tub fixtures look like the originals. There is much evidence of wear and tear, the cabinets have chipped paint in many places, the cabinet doors don’t close like they should because they appear warped from humidity and moisture, the bathroom sink vanity is starting to peel and come apart, the under vanities for the bathrooms were also warped and dirty. Overall, it is fairly run down. When we got there the master bath was somewhat dirty and the shower liners (plastic) were extremely gross and dirty in all of the bathrooms. I did contact Vacation Homes of Hilton Head. They were responsive and did replace the shower curtains but not until Monday (we arrived Saturday) because they only respond to emergencies on the weekend. I didn’t think shower curtains or dirty bathroom was an emergency, however, most places have weekend availability for cleanliness issues and I would have much preferred not to wait 48 hours. I had cleaned up the bathroom already by then. I was overall disappointed and would not be likely to stay here again.

Great proximity and views!

We very much enjoyed staying here! The view is lovely, the convenience to all things Hilton head is fantastic and the walk to the beach is super simple. The pool was nice as well. This particular property could use some updating to the kitchen and the bathrooms but all in all quite a great value! We would stay here again.

The view was gorgeous and the location is nice and convenient right by Coligny. The pool was very clean and a nice size. The bedrooms were updated and clean but the kitchen and bathrooms are very outdated and are in desperate need of updating.

Comfortable Space and Perfect Location

This was a very comfortable place to stay. As a multi-generational family of 9, we had room to gather together and spread out. The location was perfect. We walked for lunch and ice cream and had a short drive for dinner. The view of the beach and pool was perfect. We were very pleased with our experience.

Condo had amazing views and easy beach/pool access

Great location - walking distance to bike rentals, shopping and dining. Steps from beach and pool. Amazing views from terrace. Condo was decorated nice, kitchen and baths a little dated but worked fine. Bunk bed room was a big hit for kids!

Called and left a message asking for guidance on parking a third car. Got a call back,with a promise to check into and call me back and never did. Stopped in the office and received a 2nd promise to call me back and never did. King bed collapsed first night. Called and spoke with answering service, apologized for off hour issue but we would not be able to sleep in bed as is and needed it fixed that night. Was promised a call back but once again no call. We “fixed” bed with paint cans that collapsed night two. Called promptly at 9am on Monday and left multiple messages and email with no return. Maintenance showed up later unannounced. Only after they were in working did I receive a call. On last day I received a call around lunch time, stating that “as I know dishwasher wasn’t working and that a new dishwasher was on the way to be installed”. Dishwasher did work (some buttons) during our stay I was not told anything about it. 10 minutes later they showed up with new dishwasher. We were in the room, and could not get in the kitchen as we planned. Dirty dishes were taken out of dishwasher, and install was not finished installer didn’t have the needed parts. Rep from vacation rentals now in room working on getting a plumber in same day. I had to ask to bring plumber in on Saturday once gone so we could get back to our day. Hand washed the dishes. Finally, promised a credit for the inconvenience and lack of notice that of course never happened. Cute place bad rental company.

Fantastic Mom’s Weekend!

This is our 3rd time staying at this property. We love the location, it’s super easy to get to shops and restaurants, the beach is right there and the pool and hot tub are great. The condo itself is big and spacious. The host communicated great through text, which I prefer. The kitchen is well equipped. We had a fantastic time! We will definitely be back!

Excellent location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was excellent. Could use some updating but the photos showed the unit exactly and the price was reflective up the few updates it could use. Views were amazing!

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy

Good

The location is great! We walked to dinner and shopping, and we loved that! The beach access and pool area were also top notch! Check in and check out was very easy. The condo needs some attention to minor details. The curtain rod and a couple bathroom rods were falling out of the wall. Maintenance did come and fix them. There were stains on the couch decorative pillowS and the carpet needs replaced.
