Comfortable apartment in an amazing setting
From the warm welcome on our arrival (delicious cream tea) until our departure we had a great stay here. Our friendly hosts, Linda and Brian, could not have been more helpful, whether providing information about the area or booking a taxi.
We all really enjoyed our stay in "Rose" Cottage. Allerford was a lovely little Village, but had 2 events on whilst we stayed there. There was so much to see and do, further afield, Dunster Castle, Lynmouth, Porlock to name a few things. Wills and Paul were very friendly and helpful and considering they hadn't been there that long themselves were very informative, about allsorts the best places to eat, park anything we asked of them, nothing was too much trouble. The Pack Horse is a little gem.

Thank you for your kind words, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and we hope to see you again every soon.
Warm wishes
Wills and Paul
The Packhorse is a superb place to stay. Wills and Paul definitely have an eye for detail both in the garden and the house. The rooms are very inviting: well-furnished and apparently recently renovated. There is only one tiny little suggestion: A third chair instead of the bench might be a good idea for meals. Anyway, on entering we noticed the fresh flowers in the vase, and there was a tray waiting with freshly self-baked scones, clotted cream and jam! We had the cream tea in the yard in bright sunshine.
Wills and Paul were very friendly and helpful, and what with our dog, she had reached nirvana. We spent a splendid week with fantastic walks - just cross the stone bridge. We all highly recommend staying at the Packhorse.
