Great ground floor flat to stay at. Right in the heart of Emsworth so very handy for local shops, pubs and restaurants. Easy to take stroll round the harbour.

Dolphin House
We h ad a lovely stay in Dolphin house. It was very well situated, convenient for the restaurants, shops and quay side; we had lovely walks straight from the apartment. The parking was tricky; we were there in the week when there was none nearby in the road, but found some nearby. We also found the bed a bit uncomfortable. Overall though, it was good value and we would stay there again, as we loved Emsworth.

Good location plain accommodation
The apartment was clean and comfortable and well located. Accommodations were basic eg we missed a stove and coffee maker. Parking sometimes hard. Lack of fresh air access a problem.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We hope you did feel the advert advertises the property well as we fell all of your feedback items are covered. Dolphin House doesn't have it's own outside space but we hope that the location right on the millpond makes up for it.

A lovely spot next to the water
We stayed for 2 months as we are having building work done and the flat was just right for us. The flat is very comfortable and well equipped. The location is great and although it is on-street parking, you can usually find a space for a few hours and it's not restricted after 6pm or on Sundays.
The flat is a little tired in places and we had some damp - but it has been a horribly wet Jan/Feb so quite understandable.
I will be recommending the flat to friends/family.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us at Four Priory Road and for sharing your experience. We're delighted to hear that you found the flat comfortable and well-equipped, and that its location suited your needs. We understand the challenges of on-street parking, but we're glad it didn't detract from your overall experience. Your feedback regarding the condition of the flat during the wet weather is duly noted, and we will strive to address any areas needing attention. We're grateful for your recommendation and look forward to the opportunity to welcome you, your friends, or family back for another enjoyable stay in the future.
Looked ok from outside but quickly disillusioned as it’s split in two areas and the lounge is very dark and lights ridiculously bright. The windows, front one I couldn’t open, kitchen has been bodged and needs replacing as does the bathroom window.A disappointment

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We do feel this is an unfair summary of the holiday rental. The photographs are fair and show the property as it is.

Super for a short break
The flat was well-equipped, comfortable and warm (essential in the cold weather).
On the downside, the directions finding and getting into the building were misleading and no-one was on the end of the Henry Adams phone to assist me. Huge thanks to some local residents who helped me - otherwise I might still be sitting on the doorstep now. Once inside, the flat wasn't quite as clean as I would have liked.
Initial difficulties overcome, I greatly enjoyed my stay. The flat is well located for shops and cafes in the town, and for some lovely coastal walks. It's also walkable from the station.

The Dolphin house was in a perfect location for our needs. Close to bus and train links, with the town centre just a few steps away.
The house was quaint and full of character which I'm glad was kept. However the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Pillows were lumpyand the mattress too soft. The bed creaked everytime you moved. The duvet was not the right size for the duvet cover. There was also dust on all the glasses and the kitchen equipment and tools needed a good wash before using. There was also a build up of dust and fluff behind the settee and bedroom furniture.
It was a shame also that there was no dryer in the house or a combo washer/dryer.
The fire alarm kept going off for no reason. A gentleman came to fix it in the middle of the night which we really appreciated. However it went off again so we just took the batteries out. There are two downlights that are not working and I wondered if this could be the problem.
Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dolphin House. We got to know our neighbours and we couldn't wish for nicer people.
Thank you.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We’re really glad the location and character of Dolphin House suited your stay, and it’s lovely to hear how friendly the neighbours were.
We’re sorry the bedding wasn’t quite to your preference — everyone likes different levels of firmness, and while we haven’t had this mentioned before, we’ll certainly look into it. Thank you as well for highlighting the dusting and fire alarm issues; we’ll make sure these are addressed promptly.
Just to note, we don’t advertise the property as having a hair dryer or a washer/dryer, but we appreciate the feedback and will keep it in mind for future improvements.
Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to welcome you back for an even smoother stay in the future!

Basic accommodation
Good central location but I would not recommend this to others. The sofa is very uncomfortable as the seat slopes backwards.Only 1 set of towels per person was provided for 1 week which was completely insufficient.Overall, the apartment is quite dark and the bedroom window wouldn't open not allowing any air in which was difficult in hot weather. However,it was a good price so if you are not too fussy (like me!),it would be fine.

Thank you for taking the time to review. I'm sorry you would not recommend this apartment, we are quite surprised as we did not receive any complaints during your stay. One set of towels per person is standard at our holiday lets and this included one hand towel and one bath towel per person. These are provided at no extra cost. I will pass on your feedback to the owner in respect of the sofa and your further comments. As you say this apartment is a good price especially as you are right in the centre of Emsworth village and right close to the water , the lower price is because this is quite a small apartment and we understand that there are not many external windows. Unfortunately in these older properties they can have their quirks. I do hope this does not put you off visiting with us again.

Despite this being one of six apartments, the property was very quiet and the sleep quality was good. The location is such that you are in a tranquil area but within easy driving range of various attractions ranging from stately homes to military museums to shopping outlets. Local amenities are good and a few minutes drive away are more substantial outlets. The property is ideal for a short or longer break as there is so much to do in the area.
