About this property
Escape to the Country at Colemore Farm - A Real Shropshire Holiday
Stay at Frog Mill Barn, which is a recently converted timber framed Threshing Barn which is Grade 2 Listed. We offer luxury self catering accommodation which is nestled in the most tranquil countryside. This barn can sleep up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms both of which are ensuite. One bathroom has a walk in shower and the other a roll top bath. One bedroom has a kingsize sleigh bed and the other has twin beds.
Downstairs is open plan, in spirit of preserving the barn's agricultural heritage with clean lines and underfloor heated slate floor. In this spirit, there are no curtains downstairs. There is also a woodburner to make it extra cosy. The deluxe kitchen has a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and range cooker. The work surfaces are granite. There is also a breakfast bar overlooking the garden. We also have wifi and freesat TV. Please note that I do not have facilities for car charging.
Outside is a private garden with a barbecue. Watch the sun go down with a cold glass of wine. We are pet friendly with prior consent please, for up to 2 well behaved dogs (at an extra cost). Unfortunately we are unable to accept cats. It is essential that dogs are kept of leads at all times when not in the barn or the garden of the barn. We are a rural area and there are sheep and other animals around.
Bridgnorth is about a five minute drive away and we are only about 20 minutes from the M54, which means that we are easy to get to. Train stations are at Wolverhampton, Telford and Shrewsbury.
You may just want to unwind and go for long walks. Perhaps you would rather go cycling or fishing. There are lots of country pursuits around Frog Mill Barn. Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site and Much Wenloch (with its links to the Olympic movement) are nearby. Or perhaps you fancy the many festivals such as the food festival at Ludlow. Bridgnorth holds many festivals too including the Steam Rally and the Steam Railway station to Kidderminster.
So bring your boots and plan a walk. There are maps in the barn. We are also lucky to have National Trust Properties nearby too.

Had an amazing Easter break at Colemore Farm, the barn is fantastic - furnished to high standard, very clean and well equipped. Anna is great host and gave us lots of tips for the local area. Right in the middle of some amazing countryside - fantastic walk down to the river from the barn.
We enjoyed our stay at the property, it was lovely and spacious and had everything we needed. It's located in beautiful countryside and a great base to explore the area. We would recommend this property.

Thank you. Frog Mill barn is a comfortable place to stay with lots to do nearby.
We had a week at Coleman farm and both really enjoyed a lovely relaxing peaceful break. The location is great for local walks, close to Bridgnorth for essentials and a good base for the Shropshire Hills. Would highly recommend

Thank you. I try to ensure that everyone feels welcome. The barn is comfortable all year round. There is much to do nearby too. It’s a busy area but the barn remains a well earned rest wrapped in beautiful countryside.
Best holiday rental we have ever had. Everything you need for your short stay was there. Anna the owner was exceptional and went above and beyond what you would expect.

Thank you. I am so. pleased that you loved Frog MillBarn and hope to see you again.
Colemore Farm is an incredible place to stay in the idyllic English countryside.
It really is an escape, the property itself is stunning and Anna is an excellent host, with insightful suggestions on things to do in the surrounding area.
We made memories with our two children that we will never forget here, and we will always be grateful for Anna letting others stay and enjoy this listed historic building.

Thank you. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed your stay. There is nothing as special as making memories with the family.
Fabulous barn conversion, overlooking the fields, wildlife aplenty. An extremely peaceful, tranquil place. Would highly recommend. We hope to visit again in the not too distant future. We’ve come home fully rested and batteries recharged.

Well appointed and delightful barn conversion.
We had a wonderful four nights stay at Frog Mill Barn. Anna was very welcoming and friendly. The barn was an absolute delight and offered roomy, comfortable and characteristic accommodation in a rural setting. It is ideally situated for visiting places of local interest, all easy to get to, or for taking up country pursuits. We would not hesitate to recommend this property as you will not find better.

Thank you for such a kind review. It was lovely having you both to stay. There is plenty to do in the area, as you point out, but there is also the opportunity to do nothing at all and just relax. Frog Mill Barn is in a very special location.
Really wanted to say a big thank you to Anne for a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage and for her generous welcome pack and fabulous scones - so delicious. Bella, our dog, had a great time with all the different walks. Such a luxurious place to stay and so warm; our every need was met. The time was much too short and we would love to come back later in the year.

Thank you. The review is so kind. There is much to do around here with or without a dog. Love to have you back.
We stayed at Frog Mill Barn for 5 days and it was wonderful, the barn was comfortable, cosy and had everything we needed. It was so peaceful and we loved hearing the birds singing and enjoyed many walks down to the River Severn. Anna was really helpful and recommended good pubs to eat at before we arrived so we were able to book in advance.
Would definitely recommend to friends

Thank you. I learnt a lot about trees from you too. So thank you again. I hope that you return.
This property has been sympathetically converted from an old barn into a wonderful 2 bed luxury holiday cottage. Wonderful original features mixed with modern conveniences. 2 Bedrooms both en-suit. Full kitchen with everything you could need. Even a small enclosed back garden. All within the rolling hills of Shropshire. Loved our stay.

Thank you for the review. It is so lovely here and it can feel right in the heart of the countryside but be near many roads, motorways and towns. There are many attractions nearby but others just like to go for walks and relax. Thank you again.
High quality barn conversion. Very comfortable for our family. Nice peaceful location away from everything but close enough to towns to get anything in 20mins. We mostly explored the local area and National Trust places like Wightwick, Dunmaston, Kinver Edge. Of course IronBridge too which again is close by.
Highly recommended

Thank you for your lovely review. I hope that others will enjoy it as much as you have. There is more and more to do around the area, which is peaceful and full of history. Shrewsbury and Ludlow are only 30 minutes away. So there is something for everyone.
We had a lovely week at Frog Mill Barn and were made very welcome by Anna, & Basil the cat! The cottage is in a beautiful setting and is very peaceful. We enjoyed listening to the owls & other wildlife after dark!
First cottage we've stayed at that had an EV chargepoint, we drive a Hybrid and being able to charge makes a big difference to the fuel economy.
If we return to Shropshire in the future we would definitely stay here again!

Thank you. It is so peaceful here. More and more guests are arriving requiring an EV charger. So it’s useful to provide this facility.
Lovely base for the week while we explored Shropshire. Very well equipped kitchen for our Hello fresh meals. Unfortunately had to take turn in staying downstairs as dogs are not allowed upstairs and our dog would not settle without us! Also cannot leave dog unattended so week was planned around dog friendly venues and activities which there are plenty of.
Nice to have garden space for the dog.
The host kindly left eggs, biscuits and milk which was very kind.

Thank you for your lovely review. I'm sorry that you were disappointed about not leaving your dog unattended. The Terms and conditions do state this. However, it looks as though it did not spoil your week and that you found plenty to do.
The barn is beautifully converted and furnished, and has a thoughtfully stocked kitchen. We brought our dog, since dogs are welcome. The one thing we didn't enjoy was the lack of privacy. Three large floor to ceiling windows fill the area where there would have been barn doors without any curtain or blind, and giving a view of the dining area in the centre of the property, open up onto a courtyard where the owner comes and goes frequently. We felt as if under permanent surveillance.

I am sorry that you felt as though you were overlooked. There was no intention on my part for you to feel this way. The photographs, including the aerial one, clearly show the courtyard, the surrounding building as well as the Frog Mill Barn. The internal photos also show the big windows without curtains. The kitchen, which now has a breakfast bar, and the sitting area are not overlooked as are the other rooms in the property.
The property is Grade 2 listed and it was agreed with the conservation office not to use blinds or curtains. Two sets of stairs also help to block the view of the courtyard leaving only the middle section of there three windows on view. This aids some privacy. Dogs and children love to sit here and observe the outside and the wild life. Many visitors have enjoyed the big windows as they permit so much light. They have also remarked how they love to see the stars and the night sky.
I need to cross the courtyard to leave my property as I walk my dog each day and go out to do other errands. Also whilst you were here it was Bin Man Day on the Tuesday and all the bins need to be out by Monday night in the courtyard ready for them to collect.
It does remain a quiet location but it is not isolated.
Lovely property in a quiet rural location but near to the Ironbridge attractions. Just what we wanted for an autumn break. I think it would be lovely for walking too. Good places to eat nearby.
There was a problem with the underfloor heating but we were made aware of this and Anna had acted immediately to rectify it.
The property has comfortable furniture, lots of towels and comfy beds. It was well equipped. I only gave 4* for cleanliness as somebody had left pots and pans rather greasy. However it did not affect us.
A very enjoyable short break.

Thank you for the feed back. I’ll make sure that the pots and pans are given an extra clean. Apologies for missing this.
We booked for three nights as a little getaway with my husband and his parents. Anna was lovely very informative and gave us lots of recommendations. It was my husband's birthday while we were there and she brought him a bottle of wine and a card which was lovely. The house is gorgeous, we had amazing weather and couldn't have wished for a better place to stay. Our beds were lovely and soft, bathrooms really lovely and the kitchen was our favourite. We cooked one meal in the aga and it was really easy to use. There is a sainsburys about 10 min drice away. We definately want to come back to stay. Thank you so much for having us Anna.

We moved here in 2010 and the Barn was converted in 2012 as part of our plan to escape to the country. It is such a special place and feels good for the soul. Easy to get to with lots of attractions around.
Why they chose this property
It is in a beautiful location and easily accessible with motorways about 20 minutes drive away.
What makes this property unique
Peaceful and quiet. Watch to stars and listen to the birds. Lovely walks with nearby cycling, fishing and golf.
