Ultra High Speed Internet - Desk/Work Space

Of the 26 charming duplex cottages in the gated Mokuleia Beach Colony, only five actually face the ocean; and this is one of them! You’ll wake to the sound of waves, sit on your open lanai and see nothing but aquamarine water and morning sky. The ocean is right there in front of you, just a few steps away. This beach bungalow was designed in the 1960s and has been decorated by a Hawaiian-born artist, whose paintings of the Mokuleia ocean, sky and landscape hang on the walls.

- The Beach - The Sand Dollar Cottage offers a stunning view of a beach that stretches for miles in either direction; ideal for swimming, walking and snorkeling in the coral reef. You rarely see anyone and have warm water, day and night!

- The Neighborhood - A twelve minute drive down a country road will take you to the famous surfing town of Haleiwa; where you can dine in one of the many restaurants and shop for clothes, local art, shave ice and fresh fish, steaks and produce. The Colony has a beautiful guest-only pool and five minutes up the road towards Ka’ena Point, there’s kite surfing and skydiving.

Smoking strictly prohibited at Mokuleia Beach Colonies, both indoors and outdoors and pets are not permitted on the property. Service animals are permitted only with prior approval of the Mokuleia Beach Colony board. The State of Hawaii prohibits smoking in public parks and at all beaches. There are no areas near the unit designated for smokers. These bans include e - cigarettes.

Awesome experience it is on a great side of the island and the customer service was super helpful. No AC, but the temperature was great. I was never hot or cold. Would definitely go back.

Loved the cottage and the location right on the beach. It’s very quiet and everyone very friendly. The pool and the grounds were lovely. However the cottage itself needs some renovations. The tv didn’t work properly. The laundry and bathroom by the office were very dirty. The pool umbrellas also need to be replaced. In spite of all that we love the place and would recommend it and stay there again.

We were unable to stay at the location due to the evacuation orders given for the recent flooding, however, despite last minute changes given the weather, the host was incredibly responsive and quick to communicate with us.

We stayed here 5 years ago so knew what to expect. Nothing much has changed (it could easily use some updating… newer cookware for on). But with the location and neighbors it is great and we will probably return. Highly recommend it.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The space was perfect for a base to go snorkling, explore the North Shore and relaxing in the evenings. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was just right. We really enjoyed the proximity to the water. Sunsets were so beautiful. I would stay here again.

Perfect beach front cottage. Only thing I missed was an access to the beach for walking. The cottage was clean, everything in place. The T.V.was a bit challenging, but with help, we figured it out. All in all, it was the perfect North Shore exerience.

Nice ocean side cottage

We really enjoyed being where we could relax. The cottage and the surrounding area was perfect, getting us away from traffic but leaving us easy access to the things we wanted to do. We would definitely rent again if we make it back.

This was our second stay here at this magical cottage. The oceanfront location is amazing, the grounds are immaculate, the pool is refreshing, the proximity to Haleiwa and Wahiawa is so convenient. The peace and quiet is so relaxing. A touch of old Hawaii. Simply enchanting.
