About this property
Cosy Cottage by the Sea - a cute fisherman house - Nairn, Highlands
Pet friendly
The house is located in the beautiful historic town of Nairn, in a quiet street less than 100m away from stunning beaches. Perfect spot to explore the Highlands, relax on the beach or play a round or 2 of golf! Park Street is in Fishertown, the old fishermen quarter of Nairn, full of cute traditional cottages. It is very quiet, so perfect for a relaxing stay near the beach but also at proximity of the high street and its shops, cafés and restaurants.
Conveniently situated less than 10 miles away from Inverness airport, it is walkable distance to Nairn High Street. You’ll love our place, it has been renovated recently and it's very cosy. Our cottage is perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, and families (with kids). It is pet friendly.
The house is on 2 levels. The well equipped kitchen, dining room, living room (with a sofa bed for 1) and bathroom are on the ground floor. There are 2 nicely sized bedrooms upstairs, one with a double bed and one with 2 twin beds under the roof (beware of the slightly lower ceiling height). You’ll have access to the garden/space in front of the cottage. We will provide (kept in the outdoor storage) a little table and chairs to sit outside and enjoy the sunny days. We provide high quality furnishing from British companies like The White Company, Joules, Anta, John Lewis. We offer spa quality hand soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner from The Scottish Fine Soap Company.

Check in was super easy, the house was clean, and exactly as described. It was easy to walk to town and to the Beach. I would definitely stay here again
Really nice cottage close to the centre of Nairn and very close to the beach. It was very well equipped and extremely clean. It is one of the nicest places we have stayed in.

Hi Eleanor, thank you so much for your kind review. I am so glad you liked our cottage!
Cosy Cottage was clean and well equipped. Perfect for one or two couples or a family of four. Staying in a unique place with a history was a special treat during our tour of Scotland.
Walking distance to the beach allowed for morning and evening beach-combing.
Great little property close to the beach, Inverness, Culloden, Loch Ness, Fort George…tons of things to do and then return to the beach for a glass of wine relaxing to the sounds of the ocean.

Thank you Deirdre, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and liked the cottage.
There is indeed loads to do in the area, or of course some relaxing time is always an option! 😊
Very nice, well maintained property in an excellent location. Walking distance to beach, restaurants and Pub. An excellent central location for day trips throughout the Highlands. Street that the cottage is on is very narrow and parking area is tight, but parking on main street is available. Wish we could have stayed longer!
We stayed here chrismas week, very warm and cozy, perfect location close to the sea front and Nairn center, everything in walking distance. Cottage very well appointed, we wanted for nothing. Host very responsive to messages and helpful
Highly recommend

Fabulous little cottage
Loved this property which has been renovated to the highest standard. During a particularly cold spell it was warm and cozy; the central heating was a delight! The location is perfect for both the town centre and the beach, and there is a great pub just around the corner serving damn fine food! I’m sure we will be back.

Thank you so much for your very kind words! We would love to have you back again.
Very much enjoyed our stay here! The house was perfect for my wife and I for a long weekend stay. We didn’t use the TV or the kitchen much but the dining room was useful and the bedroom was good - as mentioned in the listing, the ceiling height is a bit low but wasn’t a problem. The location is good - right off the main drag and near the harbor. Communication with the host was great and check-in was seamless. Would recommend!

We visited from Buffalo, NY during early October. Nairn is a cute little village right by the sea, full of Scottish charm. The cottage was comfortable, well decorated and the hostess is VERY organized. We appreciated the booklet left providing information on the cottage, near by restaurants and things to do. The beach is also a two minute walk. I have nothing but nice things to say about our stay!

Thank you Vanessa for your kind words. We are always delighted to hear that our guests have enjoyed staying at Cosy Cottage!
We’d be delighted to host you again!
Cozy cottage was exactly that! Everything was spotless and oh so comfortable. Great beds and linens, and the cottage was equipped with everything one could think of. Basic pantry supplies were there
to enable meal preparation if desired.
The location was fantastic. We enjoyed beach walks and the charm of the neighbourhood. We were able to do day trips to many local points of interest. After many busy travel days, we will always remember our relaxed time at Cozy Cottage. It truly was a “home away from home!’
Thank you Stephanie!

Thank you Joan for your kind review. I am delighted you liked our cottage so much and enjoyed your time in the area!!
Lovely cottage in a great location. Immaculately clean and very well equipped. Host contacted us shortly after we’d checked in to make sure everything was ok.
Pros: close to beach, good parking, courtyard garden gets sun for most of the day (tho not late evening), plenty space for such a cute cottage, lots of little extras and small touches which show the host really does think about her guests
Cons: sofa is like sitting on a brick (but it is a sofa bed), Anyone remotely tall better duck when going to the loo, and might find the steeply coombed bedroom ceilings a challenge… but this is typical of these cottages and is really not a cause for complaint.
Would stay here again.

Mum, wife and avid traveller. Love seeing the world, cooking or relaxing (or jogging!!) by the sea! I speak english & french.
Why they chose this property
We love our cottage. We found it very relaxing there and our children love playing on the award winning beach (only 100m away!!!), at the park and sampling the local delights at the ice cream parlours. The cottage is well situated for day trips with Brodie and Cawdor Castles, Inverness and Aviemore or if you prefer, you can play golf at one of the 2 golf course. Near wonderful restaurants and easy day trip to Loch Ness, it is a great base to discover the beautiful Highlands.
What makes this property unique
Come and stay in our cottage and you might see wild dolphins from the beach, only 100 meters away from the house.
