Maison Herisson consists of the main house (3 bedrooms), a guesthouse (3 bedrooms) and a pool house (1 bedroom). All houses and the pool are set on a south-facing slope with incredible views towards the Esterel Mountains and the Sea. Surrounding the house is close to 2 acres of wonderful gardens with olive trees, fig trees, citrus trees, apricots, oaks and cypresses as well as lovely lavender. With a Multi-court (20x10 meters) for mini-tennis, volleyball, soccer, basket ball (and more) as well as a competitive Boule-court set in a lush garden with a Pergola and a swing, and a table tennis area by the pool - activities are available for all. With only 3 minutes’ drive to Seillans, one of France's most beautiful medieval villages, it is the perfect place to enjoy a quiet, sporty, yet deluxe, holiday with family and/or friends in an idyllic rural setting, still close to the Mediterranean Sea.

Fantastic property

Everything about our stay was perfect. The outside facilities, pool, sports court, boules, outside kitchen are all amazing. The 2 outside bedrooms are quite isolated but would not be an issue for older children.

Amazing vacation!

We had an amazing stay in this fantastic villa! It was even more fantastic than the pictures showed. Both outside and inside. The view was breathtaking. The pool is large and deep, perfect for our teenage boys. Also the multisport court and table tennis by the pool kept us busy. Well equipped kitchen, nothing was missing. The host Andreas was very accomodating answering any questions that we had. We hope we can return to this villa since we had the best vacation ever!

Absolutely beautiful house

We stayed here for a week with friends and had a wonderful time. The house is spotless and the gardens exceptional. It has everything you need for cooking wonderful meals and keeping older kids / teens entertained. The sports pitch is great fun and we all really enjoyed playing paddle ball (easy tennis!) for the first time. Cannot finish this review without mentioning the incredible views over hills and valley. And Seillans itself is a charming village. Thank you Andreas.

Incredible views and a wonderful stay

We were a group of friends including 6 young kids. First impressions (once we’d negotiated the VERY steep driveway): WOW!! Outside areas of the house were spacious and beautiful and the views were to die for! Inside was very clean and there was ample space for relaxing/ dining. Kitchens were very well equipped and utility was a huge bonus with extra storage and 2 dishwashers. The pool was fantastic and really warm! It is deep the whole way - a bit tricky with little ones but good for swimming. The kids loved the new sports pitch and the adults very much enjoyed the boules court. The only downside for our group was the arrangement and size of the bedrooms. None of the kids’ rooms were easily accessible from the adult rooms (most would have involved having to go outside to access). For older children / teenagers this would not be a problem but with young kids not really practical. We ended up having to have them in with us on mattresses in the floor which, in the guest house was a real squeeze. Communication was generally good. I took a star off as there were a few issues with the property that did not get resolved quickly e,g. internet was not working on arrival and although we reported this straight away it was never resolved and there was no real communication to update us on progress. Overall we had a wonderful and memorable holiday. The house was fantastic and sociable for a group and we would definitely recommend to groups of adult or those with older kids

Traumhaftes Haus und ein unvergesslicher Urlaub

Wir waren mit 12 Personen (5 Erwachsene, 7 Kinder zwischen 4 und 15 Jahren) 10 Tage im Maison Herisson und es war ein unvergesslicher Urlaub. Das Haus bietet viel Platz für alle und das gesamte Anwesen bietet so viele Möglichkeiten, den Tag zu verbringen (riesiger Pool, Platz für Tennis, Tischtennis, Boule und vieles mehr), dass es uns nie langweilig wurde. Die Aussicht ist wirklich atemberaubend und es gibt viele verschiedene Sitzgelegenheiten im Außenbereich, um die Aussicht und die Zeit mit Familie und Freunden zu genießen. Wir können es einfach nur weiterempfehlen - es ist wundervoll !!!

Aangenaam verblijf met adembenemend uitzicht!

Aanrader!!! Zeer rustige, mooie omgeving, alle comfort voorzien. Buitenkeuken is een pluspunt, zeker de bbq. Zeker inkopen doen in de SuperU in Fayence(zeer grote supermarkt met betere prijzen dan de kleinere supermarkt in Seillans)

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus in der Provence

Wir hatten im Juni 2022 die Gelegenheit, eine Woche mit 8 Personen im Maison Herisson zu verbringen. Die Anlage besteht aus einem Haupthaus (3 Schlafzimmer), einen separatem Nebenhaus (3 Schlafzimmer) und einem Poolhaus mit 1 Schlafzimmer. Alles ist sehr schön provencialisch mit viel Equipment (Geschirr, Gläser, etc) eingerichtet. Im Haupthaus gibt es neben der Hauptküche noch eine Nebenküche mit 2 großen Kühlschränken und 2 Spülmaschinen, was super war. Hervorzugeben ist auch die gemütliche Outdoor Grill-/Essecke mit großem Webergrill, an der wir täglich alle Mahlzeiten eingenommen haben. Der Pool ist ebenfalls sehr groß (ca. 12 x 5 m). Für kleine Kinder ist dieser aber nur bedingt geeignet, da der Pool recht schnell ins Tiefe abfällt. Dafür gab es eine sehr einladende Sitzecke und Liegen, so dass man immer das traumhafte Panorama genießen konnte. Bäder / Toiletten gab es nur 3 Stk, die sich im Haupt- und Nebengebäude befunden haben. Eine weitere Toilette z.B. am Poolhaus wäre unserer Meinung nach noch wünschenswert. Nach Seillans sind es zu Fuß ca. 20 Minuten. Die Fahrt zu den Stränden an der Küste dauert mindestens 50 Minuten. Wer also Wert auf Strand legt, muss dies wirklich einplanen. Alles im Allem hatten wir eine wunderbare Zeit im Haus Herisson, so dass wir diese Destination gerne weiterempfehlen können.

Waanzinnig mooie locatie met een prachtig uitzicht!

We zijn voor de duur van 1 week afgereisd naar deze prachtige accommodatie. Het is nog mooier dan de foto's. De buitenkeuken met de openhaard is ideaal wanneer de avonden afkoelen. De jeu de boules baan ligt er prachtig bij en het zwembad is heerlijk verwarmd. Het uitzicht wat je daar hebt is waanzinnig. Het is wel lastig te bereiken met een steil weggetje naar boven. Er is voldoende parkeerplek bij het huis. Het dorp Seillans kan je te voet bereiken net als de supermarkt. Het is een schilderachtig historisch dorpje. We hebben ons uitzonderlijk goed vermaakt en zullen nog zeker terugkeren.

Sehr schöne Anlage. Alles sehr sauber und wie neu. Die Umgebung kennen wir seit nun neun Jahren. Die Ausstattung lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Der beste Verbleib den wir in Seillans hatten.

Stunning property

Our family of 7 stayed at this property for 2 weeks in August. Words cannot describe how wonderful this property is. The location is beautiful and the views absolutely breathtaking. The beds were the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The outdoor kitchen is fantastic, we had lunch and dinner there every night. The pool is wonderful - a great size with lots of space for games and sunbathing. We cannot recommend this property more highly, we had a truly memorable holiday.

Echt fantastisch!!

Geweldig huis op zeer bijzondere lokatie. Mooi uitzicht op de vallei van de Provence. Van alle gemakken voorzien. Vooral de buitenkeuken met bbq en de mogelijkheid om daar te eten en te drinken is ontzettend fijn. En natuurlijk niet te vergeten het zwembad met daarnaast de tafeltennistafel, zodat zeker de kinderen zich goed hebben vermaakt. Van 5-20 minuten rijden diverse supermarkten en boulangeries. De woning zelf is ook erg fijn met de airco en de ruime bijkeuken. Je zag dat alles met veel zorg was ingericht en onderhouden. Nogmaals wij hebben het hier fantastisch gehad en kijken er met veel plezier op terug.

Wonderful relaxing holiday in hill top village

We loved our stay in the house in Seillans, Provence. We spent the mornings exploring the various hill top villages and the afternoons around the pool which was a constant 32C! Lots of wonderful fresh food and local art and crafts. Very relaxing watching the gliders and the kites circle over head far from the madding crowd on the Cote D'Azure We spent the last day at the Lac de Saint-Cassien which is great for swimming, sun bathing and pedalos. The Restaurant de Lac provided lovely views and fine food. A good tip is that it pays to book for all restaurants as the supply can be limited. Many thanks to Andreas who was very helpfull in providing information on places to visit and things to do.

An outstanding house to relax in

We, 3 families with 12 people in total rented this house for a week in July. It was perfect and absolutely big enough to accommodate all of us. The house, inside and outside, was very well maintained, clean and perfectly set up to start a great vacation. You can stay in the house and enjoy the facilities or take excursions in the surrounding areas; ocean, lakes, vineyards, etc. For us, this was a perfect stay and we would gladly come return to enjoy it again. The owner of the house was very helpful and friendly.

A view to die for!

An amazing house with a view to for. A house with every comfort and accommodations for lots of people and a separate pool area. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and cooked dinner out of the ordinary. Walked down to the village and bought fresh croissants and had a short walk back and enjoyed morning coffee overlooking the valley with cypresses in the field of view. Made great excursions, bathing in the ocean, swimming in the lake, concert in the church and had an outstanding dinner at the restaurant in the village. But most of all, we stayed in the house and enjoyed the peacefullness. Highly recommended.

Why they chose this property

We were looking for a house in Provence in the spring of 2017 and visited Maison Herison for the first time in terrible weather (torrential rain and very windy). My wife was not very enthusiastic based on the description provided by the real estate agent. But at soon as we had parked the car outside the house and stepped out- we fell in love.

What makes this property unique

The view, the setting, the stone house, the pool area - we absolute could not leave the house on the market. I guess it is the kind of place you need to see it to get it, sort of.
