About this property
Mountain Camp-3 miles to main street Blowing Rock! Hot tub, game room, private hiking trails
Experience the private beauty and luxury of this spectacular mountain home that is located just 3 miles from the charming shops and restaurants of Main Street, Blowing Rock! Finding a destination like this with high-speed internet and seven walkable, wooded acres that is so close to Blowing Rock, is truly remarkable. With 16-foot-high ceilings throughout the living & dining areas, over 3,900 square feet of heated space, a full-size game room, top-of-the-line furnishings, hardwood floors throughout, hiking trails on the property and wonderful mountain views, you will feel yourself relax as soon as you arrive and begin enjoying the quiet country charm of this amazing home and property.
Mountain Camp's main level has a spacious living room with windows top to bottom and spectacular western views of Beech and Grandfather mountains. Kick back on the leather sofas and recliners in front of the gorgeous stone, gas-log fireplace and television with stereo surround sound. The dining area features a table for ten, and chefs of all skill levels will enjoy cooking in the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances, commercial gas range, granite countertops and a breakfast bar with additional seating for four. Also on the main level, is a laundry room as well as a separate reading room where you can relax as you take in Mountain Camp's peaceful mountain views.
Step through French doors onto the main level's 850 square foot, private outdoor living area where you will enjoy soft morning vistas from your covered, tree top veranda high above the Blue Ridge Parkway. Relax around the gas fire table in rockers and Adirondack chairs. Take in the mountain charm from your five-person hot tub as the afternoon sun paints a picture while it sets behind the distant mountains. You will be greeted in the evening by the twinkling lights of Foscoe and Banner Elk across the Blue Ridge Valley. Savor the cool mountain breezes while you cook on the Weber gas grill for your family and friends as you prepare a feast for them to enjoy under the stars at the ten-seat outdoor dining table.
Time for bed? Still on the main level is the master suite with a king size bed, walk-in closet, private bathroom with large claw-foot tub, and tiled, oversized shower. There is also another bedroom with a queen size bed adjoining a full bathroom with a large, tiled shower.
Downstairs, there is a full-size game room with a piano, pool table, and a sitting area where you can watch your 85" Smart TV. Two can sleep in the game room loft where there is a twin day/trundle bed. Down the hallway is a full bathroom for the loft guests and two more private bedroom suites. One suite has a king size bed and adjoining bunk room with twin bunk beds and a sitting area with pastoral views through a picture window. The other suite has a queen-size bed and a private sunroom with rocking chairs. Both suites have private bathrooms with tiled showers and heated floors. Every bedroom at Mountain Camp has a Smart TV. Park your car in the heated garage and unwind in the dry heat infrared sauna after a day of hiking or skiing.
You will feel the peaceful privacy of Mountain Camp as soon as you arrive. The gravel cul-de-sac affords easy, level parking for at least five vehicles with only two steps leading up to the front porch. Roast marshmallows on the outdoor stone fire pit. Explore Mountain Camp's marked and maintained hiking trails that lead to Hoot Camp Creek and Bull Mountain. To the South, your only neighbor is the Pisgah National Forest from which deer and turkey often visit across Mountain Camp's 832-foot shared boundary.
In addition to Mountain Camp's convenient proximity to Blowing Rock you are only half of a mile from Westglow Day Spa, two miles from entering the Blue Ridge Parkway and 15 minutes from Appalachian Ski Mountain.
We hope you will be our guest and enjoy Mountain Camp's truly magnificent and unique High Country vacation experience!
