Welcome to our own Home from Home in the Florida sunshine.
Dunes Sunshine Villa is a wonderful place to come back to to relax after a hectic day in the parks or shopping. Set on the lovely gated and secure Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club Resort, our Villa benefits from golf course views front and rear, nestled between the 3rd Green and 4th Tee it villa provides everything you could need for your stay in the Sunshine State. There is parking for 1 car on the driveway.

Fully air conditioned with 4 bedrooms (2 en-suite) and 3 bathrooms mean there is plenty of room for everyone. One of the master bedrooms is downstairs so gives easy access for anyone who might have any problems with stairs.
A lovely open plan layout with a comfortable lounge which leads into the kitchen, the family can still be together when meals are being prepared. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could need to prepare meals and has a microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. It has a breakfast bar which seats 3 and a nook seating 4 with lovely views over the pool and golf course behind.

A 55" Smart 4k TV with Netflix access, DVD player and a cable package with 100's of channels and PL Football in the open plan lounge means that there is something for everyone to enjoy watching whilst you chill out. For those who want to watch TV in the bedroom, all 4 bedrooms have TV with ROKU sticks to enalble you to enjoy the full cable package as the main lounge.

Also downstairs is the queen master bedroom which has direct access to the pool area.

Upstairs is the master bedroom with golf course view at rear and with its own en suite bathroom which has a separate shower stall and tub and twin sinks. Across the landing are the two rooms, 1 has a full size bed and dresser and has a Paris / Disney theme, the other has twin beds and is Star Wars themed. Both have golf course view and they share a bathroom between them.

Outside is the lovely private pool, gets plenty of sun but is also sheltered by trees and bushes for privacy, it is not overlooked at the back and the bushes do give a degree of privacy from the neighbours either side. The pool can be heated if required (recommended between November and March) for an additional charge. We also have a covered lanai with table and chairs so you can sit and enjoy your chilled drink while watching the kids in the pool or just watching the beautiful Florida sunsets. The pool has a safety fence which we recommend you set up whilst it is not in use.

Downstairs is also a laundry room with high spec washer and dryer, iron and ironing board for our guests use.

We also provide a travel cot, high chair and stroller for your little ones.

We added in Summer 2018 a games room, with a 6ft pool table / ping pong table. Also 2 games consoles (Wii & Xbox360) with a selection of games.

We Provide:
All bed linen (except baby linens for the travel cot)
All towels and pool towels, all you need is sunscreen!

Everything you could want and need is here for you so come and enjoy a wonderful vacation knowing that you have a spacious and lovely home to come back to to rest after a hectic day enjoying the numerous attractions Orlando and Central Florida has to offer

Second Stay

This was our second stay at this property. It's a nice place, clean, and quiet. Even the neighbors are friendly. We appreciated the master bedroom closet has now been opened since our first stay so we could hang up our clothes. We would stay here again.

Annual Golf Trip

We enjoyed our stay very much at this beautiful home. Julie is a 5 star host and our annual golf trip was a success as we enjoy staying in and playing Southern Dunes CC. It is our favorite course by far. The convenience of the house to the courses we play made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Southern Dunes Villa

A really lovely villa with everything you need for an enjoyable Disney holiday. Quick and easy check-in and good communication with the host. Lovely view of the golf course from the pool area. 5-10mins walk to Walmart for groceries. Unfortunately due to road works it took over an hour every day to get to the theme parks from the villa. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend.

Location perfect. Felt safe at all times. Have previously booked about six times at Southern Dunes rentals which made knowledge of area (winter haven, Old town etc) easy to access.Interior furniture (sofa) needs a little T.L.C. If guests have two vehicles parking would be an issue.

The house is clean and the pool was very enjoyable during the hot days. The view of the golf course was fantastic, and the distance to Walmart was perfect. . Our overall experience was great. You have a lovely little house that fits our family of 4 perfectly. The only negative note is the quality of the beds. The mattresses in 3 out of 4 bedrooms are very, very uncomfortable and need to be replaced.

We had a wonderful three week stay at this quiet home.. The kitchen was very clean with all the dishes/utensils we needed. The convenient layout of the home just fits us with ten steps from the kitchen to the great heated pool. Nothing beats morning coffee outside on the covered porch. We loved the master bedroom’s room-darkening drapes and bed linens. The excellent A/C, bikes, video game player and titles, high chair, pool table, and dvd collection were extra benefits to anyone’s stay. The owner was quick to answer any questions we had during our stay. We will be back!

Lovely Christmas & New Year break

Great two weeks spent here over Christmas and New Year. The house was slightly smaller than what we have stayed in before but it felt like a “home” and everything that we needed was there. My parents (both in their 70’s) had the downstairs bedroom / bathroom and my husband and I plus 13 year old daughter had the upstairs facilities. The onsite golf club is wonderful for food and drinks and within walking distance. The house was well equipped and clean. We spoke to the house owner several times to ask general questions and she answered very quickly . Location is good for all attractions and Walmart is at the entrance to the gated community. Highly recommended and would definitely return

The home is in a prime location, Southern Dunes of Haines City. I have been vacationing in Haines City since 2007. This was one of my best experiences. The home was equipped with everything we needed (enough towels, hangers, cooking utensils etc.). I loved the fact that there is a television in every bedroom. During January, there are some cool days. On those days we chose to stay in and everyone could enjoy watching what they wanted on television. The house was clean, however the shower curtains needed to be changed. The shower curtains were not a deal breaker for us. We would stay at the home again.

Thank you Julie for a lovely stay. This home was the perfect size for our family of 5. Everything we needed for a week long stay was available. The kitchen is well stocked with items needed for cooking your own meals. Three bathrooms is very convenient. The pool is a nice size with a small dining/sitting area. The washer and dryer are nice and big, which cuts down on the clothes you need to pack for your trip. The big TV in the living room was nice at the end of the day. Southern Dunes community is a nice, safe location. This was our third stay in this area. There are plenty of restaurants from fast food to sit down very close by. There is a Wal-Mart right outside Southern Dunes which is very convenient. Thank again!!

My family spent two weeks at Southern Dunes in October/November on this well located, safe and secure area. The villa was well stocked with everything you would need. In the kitchen there were plenty of appliances including coffee machine, kettle, oven, microwave and a lovely big fridge freezer to store your food and drink. The villa is well looked after and very clean. All the bedrooms are a really nice size and the bed in the main bedroom was really big and very comfy to sleep on. The neighbours next door were very friendly and kindly offered any assistance should we need it. From the pool area of the villa there is a lovely view of the golf course. The area is really quiet. There are plenty of shops/restaurants nearby including a massive Walmart which has everything you need. Manny's Chop House which is just 2 or 3 minutes down the road is a must as the food and service was amazing. The owner Julie was a pleasure to deal with and nothing was too much trouble for her when we left something behind after we had left. Myself and my family would highly recommend this villa and we would have no hesitation in booking here again. Thanks Julie, we had a very happy stay.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with Southern Dunes the first time we came in. Its lovely, big and spacious with a real community feel. Because its gated we feel secure and it also has the added convenience of 2 supermarkets right on the doorstep. Everything you could possibly need can be found here. We love our home here, we have made a couple of changes since buying and will continue to do so, upgrading and adding when we can. We welcome guest feedback and will take all comments on board. We love this home, and hope that our guests come to enjoy staying here just as much as we do!
