This modest but comfortable Tahoe Cabin has it all, Lake View, Brand New Hot Tub and Pet Friendly. Silver Tip Vacation Home has a fully stocked deck with a BBQ, hot tub and patio furniture that looks out over Lake Tahoe. This home also includes Tahoe Park Association HOA (see below).

The master bedroom is located upstairs while the two other rooms are located down stairs. All three bedrooms have queen beds. The living area has cozy wood burning stove, comfortable sofas and large television, a perfect place to relax after a hard day of skiing or hiking.

ABOUT THE AREA

Conveniently located three and a half miles south of Tahoe City on Lake Tahoe's west shore, you'll find the quiet residential neighborhood known as Talmont Estates. Just up the hill from Sunnyside and the Tahoe Park HOA beach, the Talmont neighborhood offers easy access to Paige Meadows and miles of back-country which is popular for hiking/biking in summer and cross country skiing/snowshoeing in winter.

Access to the Lake Tahoe Park Associate HOA beach offers an escape from summer crowds and the convenient location means you'll never sit in west shore traffic. The Tahoe Park beach offers over three acres of lakefront enjoyment with two piers, a playground, basketball, bocce ball, volleyball, and picnic areas.

During the ski season, you are less than fifteen minutes from Homewood Mountain Resort. Or travel to Palisades Tahoe which is the largest ski resort in Lake Tahoe. Palisades Tahoe has a shuttle that runs continuously between the base area of Olympic Valley & Alpine Meadows when both resorts are open for operations, weather, and traffic permitting.

We stayed at Silver Tip the first week of Aug with as an extended family. The layout was great for family dinners, the deck is stunning, we loved all the natural light. The kitchen is well stocked for making food at home. Easy access to the Paige Meadows trail system, and access to the Tahoe Park HOA is essential for ease of travel with little kids. Will stay here again!

Sliver Tip Ski Trip

Second time staying at this property. Was great for my wife, myself our pup and extended family. Great neighborhood with views of the lake. Add a star for the giant hot tub in the deck with lake views. Would stay here again.

Silver Tip

This lovely home is in a good location and in a beautiful neighborhood. There is a view of trees out of every window and a large deck upstairs with a beautiful tree filtered view of the lake. We especially enjoyed the sunrise over the lake each morning. We did not cook there as we went out for meals or brought food in, but the kitchen was adequately supplied. Our stay was just for the two of us so we stayed in the upstairs bedroom. We would have preferred a king size bed and no stairs so we will not choose to stay there again. We would suggest an upgrade with the toilet paper as it was thin and not soft. The electricity went off for a whole day due to construction in the area and we were able to find candles if needed. The weather was sunny & wonderful so we did not need to light a fire.

Great Home, Great Place

We had a fabulous stay for a week! Everything was perfect from weather to the location. Loved the beach and boating area too. Only suggestion is to fix the BBQ grill as the inside drip plate does not stay in place and when it falls it's too hot to mess with and grease drips to the inside of grill.

Great trip

House was in excellent condition upon arrival. Very clean and organized. Close proximity to Palisades Tahoe, ~15-20 min drive. Close to downtown Tahoe City, ~5 min drive. Not close to waterfront, in my opinion. Probably a solid mile from the water with a straight uphill walk. There is a HOA lake front that you can drive to. The only negatives with this house were their entertainment features. The TV and entertainment are very old. These seem like very reasonable upgrades given the return on investment and decreased footprint with newer devices.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A couple of housekeeping issues: master bedroom sheets not washed well and appeared soiled - we left them as found with notes, soap dispenser had a long black human hair on it. Great value and nice garage. Great snow removal service but needs to be extended to include deck. Add more hooks to mud room for clothing. Good heating, we did not use wood burning stove or hot tub.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a family of five visiting from the East Coast for a ski vacation. The location of the house was great - close to Tahoe City for shopping and restaurants. The house accommodated us well. My only real criticism is that some of the appliances are dated - the stove didn't heat up food well (frozen pizza was soggy even after being in oven for an hour). It snowed when we were there and the snow clearing service was excellent. The wood burning stove was a real bonus and heated the living space well. We enjoyed the hot tub on the deck immensely! Overall it was a fantastic experience.

Comfortable stay, wish there were more amenities

This was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay with a modern kitchen, very comfortable beds and a perfect location for our small family. We had no issues during our stay and everything worked perfectly. However, when we arrived at 4pm the house was freezing and notes on the countertop told us that the heater would take a while to warm up the house. It took us about 5 hours to get to a comfortable temperature, and it stayed nice and warm throughout the weekend. I just wish that they turned on the heat in advance of our stay, considering that we got a text that the house was ready 2 hours before. There was also a lack of amenities in the kitchen, simple things like cooking oil. Other houses we have stayed at have not been as beautifully remodeled, but were cozier because of all the amenities like kid's toys, everything you could need to cook, etc etc. All in all though, it was a nice stay and I would definitely return.

Nice cabin with terrible access

The cabin was comfortable, nicely furnished, and had most of what we needed. Woodstove was nice. Once in, we were pretty happy. Getting in was a nightmare. Email to us said our cabin was "ready for our arrival." Not true at all! The road had been plowed earlier, and there was a 2' wall of snow blocking the driveway. There was zero access to the front door due to the tremendous amount of snow that had not been cleared this season. We were not informed that there would be no access via the front door. Our only access was through the side door of the garage, which was also blocked by 2' of snow. We were glad we had a snow shovel in the car so we could clear the snow to get off of the street and onto the driveway and then get to the side door. Once to the side door, we retrieved the key from the lock box and unlocked the side door but could it was frozen shut. Luckily, we had a crowbar in the car, which we used to remove about 4" of ice built up under and around the side door, freezing it shut. After driving 12 hours, we didn't appreciate spending over an hour trying to get inside. The microwave fan doesn't work There were only two washcloths for four people There was only one partial box of tissues A full length mirror would be nice Huge buildup of snow on roof made use of jacuzzi dangerous Leaving, we found the lockbox frozen shut from water dripping from the roof. We had to go back inside and get warm water to thaw the lockbox. Cover the lockbox!

This can get blocked after we clear during a large snow event as the snow accumulates. The driveway is under contract by a private third party snow removal vendor. The street plows can create a berm at the end of the driveway when they make their passes. We do clear this prior to arrival, but again, they reform every time the plow passes. nice and basic

the good things : The house was clean, easy to find, comfetable for 6, easy to reach office for lock problems.. the not so good: No flexabilty about arrival, nothing basic in the house - like oil, salt , pepper and other spices, coffee, wahing detegant, softner, washing up liquid - nothing. Not ON the lake (30 min long walk and back is uphill the whole way).

Great home with good views and location

We had a great family vacation at Silver Tip! Nice updated home with a great deck, jacuzzi and lake view through some trees. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, glasses, pots and pans. We would have liked a bit more cleaning agents for countertops and toilets to keep our space clean while we were there. Not enough provided. Plenty of towels and linens. Tahoe Getaways was very responsive when we had an issue with the dryer and had someone come out right away to address the problem. The place was spacious and plenty big for 6 adults. We enjoyed the lake views while dining outside on the deck. The pictures of this place are very accurate. Great stay overall!

Thank you for your review! To provide further clarity, we do shovel off a path to the hot tub in the winter months. On this specific occasion, we had received multiple feet of snow in the days prior to your arrival, not to mention a record breaking February in terms of snowfall. Because the roof had a rather large amount of snow hanging over the hot tub, we felt it best to get a vendor out to shovel it off prior to use. Luckily, we were able to do so rather quickly for your group, but we do appreciate your understanding and apologize about any inconvenience!
