Welcome to Sundial R204, a privately owned retreat in one of Sanibel Island’s most desirable locations. This spacious three-bedroom, two-bath condo comfortably accommodates up to six guests with a thoughtful layout featuring a king in the primary suite, two queens in the second bedroom, and two twin beds in the third. From your balcony you’ll enjoy an angled view of the Gulf, while a private set of stairs leads directly to your ground-floor cabana, stocked with beach chairs and essentials to make your days by the water effortless. Inside, the condo is equipped with everything you need for a relaxed stay — a fully stocked kitchen for home-cooked meals, a washer and dryer for added convenience, and all the comforts of home in a bright, coastal setting.

While this condo is part of the Sundial Resort, it does not include access to the resort’s main amenities such as the pool or organized activities. Guests will, however, enjoy easy access to the popular Tiki Bar & Grill, on-site dining, and the convenient market located within the resort. For those seeking full access to additional amenities, passes may be purchased directly through Sundial Resort, subject to their discretion.

Beyond the resort, Sanibel Island offers endless opportunities to create memories. Spend your mornings shelling along the world-famous beaches, bike the island’s 20+ miles of trails, or paddle through mangrove estuaries where dolphins and manatees often play. It would have been nice to have more bath towels and beach towels. It was kind of a bummer that we couldn’t turn the ac down because it did get quite warm in the unit at times.

The only thing is the kitchen could use some spices! There was literally only salt and pepper. Otherwise we will definitely be back and highly recommend to any family!!

Does not have the musty smell other units have.We have had experiences with other management companies on the island but Select Vacation Properties were excellent to deal with and their communication is top notch. We will be renting this unit in the future.

The only downside is the 7 % rate increase from 2019 to 2020. 2020 will be the 4th year in a row that we have booked the condo. I am seriously thinking about a lower cost option. I know there are less expensive condos in the same building or adjacent buildings.

Beach gear closet excellently stocked but wish could’ve used bikes. Beautiful view. Condo great, clean And very well stocked but light and fan switches frustrating. Dark in bedrooms. Washer and dryer nice but dryer takes forever to dry. Would have to do two cycles to get dry load. Automatic lock great. Upstairs condo noisy every night. Would rent again

Shocked that cleaning lines was expected when we used them until we left. Beside the washer is too smalll for linens. Washed all the towels as we used them.

We can only fix what we are aware of. Please know the owner is replacing, this week, the living room sectional, chair, area rug and master bedroom area rug. We do not expect our guests to wash linens, however we do ask that guest are mindful and try to not leave more than two loads as the cleaning crew has limited time prepping the condo for incoming guests. Please know nothing is expected of our guests upon departure, however anything that is done is greatly appreciated. I apologize this condo was not available as per your request for the following year. Please feel free to call should you have flexibility with your travel dates. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The sheets were dirty on one bed in the double bedroom along with both comforters. Washing machine needs to have sand cleaned out. Cloths washed and had sand on them when finished and my cloths were sand free. Towels need to be bleached some had bad stains on. Very lovely place otherwise. Well stocked kitchen. Rug and chair could use a good cleaning in living room.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived at the condo and found wet towels and sheets hanging in the bedrooms. We had no idea if they were clean or dirty, so my very first day I was washing towels. Management acted like they could have cared less. I have never stayed at a condo where I had to wash all of my towels and sheets. Otherwise, the condo was great, but within the first several hours I had a sour taste in my mouth about this condo.

Disappointed

Upon our first and second evening we were very disenchanted with the lack of cleanliness. The sheets were dirty, the area rugs smelled terrible, the living room/dining room furniture was stained and soiled, and we encountered a roach in the bathroom. I will say AFTER contacting the management company they IMMEDIATELY sent a cleaning service and an exterminator. Although it was impossible for them to clean the furniture and rugs they did their best to make the unit cleaner. The management company did reimburse us for the imposition it caused (having to buy bleach and clean our own sheets) I must say I am a disappointed after reading a review from November, only a month prior to our stay and it was a similar complaint regarding dirty sheets. As we were departing the unit, the cleaning company along with maintenance had boxes of new linens, mattress covers, etc. I am sure whoever gets the unit after us will be pleased with the changes if they replace the rugs and the furniture.

We did see the review you mentioned thus why the owner of the cleaning company bleach all linens herself. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in 4 different units at Sundial, this is the most expensive and the nicest overall. Beds were comfortable and I appreciate no wall to wall carpet or kitschy wallpaper which so many units have. Renovation is recent, kitchen is well stocked only needs an espresso machine (Breville has a mini for $300) or Nespresso (only $200). No one drinks drip coffee anymore do they? Also sheet pans, could not find any.Washing machine and dryer definitely need an upgrade - they are the small unit stacked together kind that only fits about 4 towels and doesn't clean very well. If cleaning crew uses these I am not sure linens and towels last long/ get clean.Lanai for beach stuff is great, we added some sand toys and noodles to the collection. Needs a new beach umbrella or sand shade everything else was there.Outdoor patio furniture could use replacing but not horrible. We previously have brought our own Rokus - cable is so awful - forgot it this time and the TV was punishing. Would be a cheap add on to the unit as well.I've written a very detailed list of everything I would change as feel that is best for a review but it is definitely a great unit, at the cost just would ask for top finishes like an espresso machine and a good washer/dryer.

Regarding the washer and dryer... space is limited thus hindering the ability to provide a larger machine, however, please know the owners are working to find a better washer and dryer option. I will pass on your suggestion regarding adding an espresso machine. This may have been done already, but will look into it. Regarding cable… some associations limit cable options that can be provided. Bringing a Firestick or Roku is always a great option. This was a beautiful condo and we would stay there again. Only downfall was that the pool in our complex was under construction however, the closest pool was a short walk, rarely busy and was very well maintained. Overall a great experience.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 5th or 6th stay at R204. We even left our cooler in their storage because we knew we would be back. The furnishings were great the couch so comfy and the bed always new. But this time the couch was replaced by the most uncomfortable couch in history and the bed was lumpy. There were no longer bikes available for us to use. That was the number one reason we rented R204 other than the couch and bed. So basically all of the main reasons for us to rent this unit are no longer there.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great kitchen amenities. Location is supreme! Absolutely loved the management company, especially Patience. Do recommend converting to smart tv’s and replacing very old area rugs.

We even had it booked when Covid was raging a year ago in June and and the owner was so nice to work with us on either refunding or rebooking. Couldn’t recommend this condo more!

Nice Condo but Could Use Updating

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was as advertised. Unit was clean and nice. Things like pots/pans and rugs are kind of worn. Sleeps 6 comfortably. Had a couple of minor maintenance items that were dealt with immediately.

Small grocery on the property.
