D301: 2/2 condo. Sleeps 6. Master: King. 2nd bedroom: King. Living room: Sofa Sleeper. No pets.
D302: 2/2 condo. Sleeps 6. Master: King. 2nd bedroom: Queen. Living room: Sofa Sleeper. No pets. MUST BE 25 TO RENT. Renter's ID and Credit Card must be presented at check in or via email. In addition, the electronic rental agreement must be signed prior to check-in.

Chateau on the River offers two gorgeous, adjoining condos at Waterwheel Condominiums that are connected with a pass through door. Both condos overlook the beautiful Guadalupe River near the convergence of the Guadalupe and Comal. Together these condos offers 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. All together there are two master suites with king beds in each, one bedroom with a king size bed, and the other with one bedroom with a queen bed, and two queen size sofa sleepers. High quality linens are provided for all beds and bathrooms. Fully furnished and equipped with everything you would need for a wonderful vacation!

This complex also offers 2 pools, 4 hot tubs, charcoal grills and lush, rolling green space for that resort, get-away feel. Rockin' R River Rides is only .7 miles away. You can float down the Guadalupe River and get out right by this condo. Walking distance to the famed Schlitterbahn Water Park and less than 1 mile from downtown. Less than 3 miles to historic downtown Gruene.

Each condo is provided with two parking passes, so with this rental there are 2 numbered spots and 2 general parking spots. These condos are on the third floor and do have an elevator. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. No pets allowed. You will receive 4 parking passes and 12 wristbands (max amount allowed). These condos have a maximum occupancy of 12 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $3000.


**WRISTBANDS & PARKING PASSES REQUIRED*** These condos are individually owned and the owners graciously allow their "second homes" to be rented out and enjoyed! The HOA of the complex had laid out some policies to ensure everyone staying at the complex can have a wonderful time. Because of the fabulous location, we can have trouble with trespassers. The security guards on premise are there to ensure only renters are using the grounds and that guests are parking in the correct parking spaces. Please do not be offended by the wristband and parking pass policies, they are really there to ensure that you have a fabulous time!

Nice and spacious with adequate starter supplies. We were off season and few people around. So it was quiet. Inside the unit you don't hear noises from the living room I to bedrooms which was nice for late sleepers.

Inside noise is minimal between the living room and bedrooms and between units. It was very comfortable. New Braunsfel Escape Chateau on the river

We had a wonderful time. Every thing made us feel comfortable Both D301/302. The location was great. Close to the pool and river. And everything else was just a few mins away.

Lovely pair of condos, great for a family of five!

We were in New Braunfels for a show at Gruene Hall. Very convenient, nice property with a great outdoor pool and two hot tubs. We had a great time and definitely can strongly recommend this property. The New Braunfels Escapes (NBE) people are awesome with excellent and very prompt communication.

This property accommodations were awesome! There was 9 of us and we had plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable. We even used one of the sleeper sofas and it was comfortable as well. Plenty of blankets and pillows. The river was a little low but we still enjoyed

Lovely condo on the river

We rented both condos to have 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was an interior door that could be opened to connect the two units. We had 9 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone. Great location.

Great Location

Easy check in , ac wasn’t working from 4 pm -9 pm on first day , called around 5 and ac crew came out around 8 pm , only other issue we had was smell coming from garbage disposal, which wasn’t working , nice location, close to everything .

PertPlus Annual Family Vacation

Our three families stayed in adjoining 2BR/2Bath condos. These condos are down the street from Schlitterban and close to tube rentals and Gruene Hall. Both condos were stocked with whatever was needed for meals prep. The two pools are shaded in late afternoon hours making pool time very comfortable and enjoyable. We plan to stay here again. Rates pretty high on our favorite vacation sites. Thanks to the owners and management company.

Overall, it is a good fit for our group of 8 friends for Wurstfest. I liked that each bedroom had a private bathroom. Plenty of space. Good communication with company. The complex is aging but not a need to be very aware of the complex rules.

Hi Duke, Thank you for the feedback on your say at Chateau on the River. We are sorry that everything was not absolutely perfect. We want all of our guests to feel like their vacation was spectacular. We will discuss a new couch with the owners of D301 because we know how important comfort is. We are also very sorry that the pool did not seem to be clean. Unfortunately, we have very little control over that as the HOA is in charge of pool maintenance. With so many people staying at these condos and getting directly out of the river and into the pool, sometimes the filter is probably a little overworked. We will definitely make sure to bring this up to the HOA to ensure that the pool is being cleaned properly or inspected to make sure the pump and filter are still working. We hope that you will give us a second chance to show you a perfect New Braunfels escape! Thanks, NBE

Great College Reunion

We have stayed in this unit several times. It is two condos that connect, so it works out well for our party of 8. Each couple has their own bed/bathroom. And there's two lounge areas...great for Football Saturday! We love having access to the pool and river, as well as location to local restaurants and a short drive to Gruene. The condo's are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The only suggestion would be to replace the carpets. It seems time:)! We would stay again.

The units were not clean. One smelled when we walked in called management and they never follow up or bothered to check in with me. Carpets were gross and sheets did not seem clean. Great location and nice pool area

Please read listing carefully. Will not budge on occupancy

I would like to warn anyone renting these condos. First make sure to read the listing carefully. The rules do not go for everyone at this place. I was told no budging on Occupancy and everyone on the property had to have a wrist band. Not true. As a matter of fact there were multiple condos with over Occupancy limit and no one I mean no one but my group had wristbands. I literally was in tears begging for one extra 10 year old. Instead my daughter in law had to stay home so she could go.

The pool and hot tub is a fabulous feature. We grilled our back as well. The pictures were a little misleading. We thought we would be staying right on the river. Although it is a pretty short walk from the condo(which was still nice) but the view you see here is when you walk down to the river. Also great communication and easy check in.

The pool was green and needed to be cleaned. 2. We had visitors as we usually do and 2 of our groups cars were to towed away even though they parked in proper spots. So not sure we will be back to Water Wheel in the future.

Unfortunately day time guests are not allowed during the duration of your stay at any time as it is stated in the rental contract, every vehicle needs parking passes in order to park at this complex as it is also stated in our rental contract, you are provided with 4 parking passes when renting this unit. We are sorry to hear that the pool was not usable, if you had given our office a call we would have been happy to get in touch with the complex HOA to fix this issue. We only manage a few units at Waterwheel, we hope that you come back to us to give us a second chance. We manage over 85 properties in New Braunfels, we would be happy to host you again.
