Charming apartment in Opera Square

New charming Gran Vía Opera:
This newly refurbished sunny and silent oasis is centrally located on a quiet street in the charming neighbourhood of Opera, very close to Gran Vía . You’ll feel at home here!

The space

The apartment is located in a nice old building in a quiet street next to Plaza de Santo Domingo and has just been extensively renovated (everything is brand new). It will be two minutes from the famous Gran Vía and only a few steps from some of the main points of interest in Madrid.

It is on the first floor of a building WITHOUT ELEVATOR (like most building of the center of Madrid)

Guest access

The apartment consists of:

* Room with double bed (140 cm x 200 cm).

* Living room with comfortable sofa bed (140 cm x 200 cm), dining area for 4, TV and semi open kitchen (fully equipped with everything what you need). In the reform they have recovered the wooden beams of the original building.

* Washer.

* Bathroom with shower

* Wi-Fi

* Air conditioner

*One set of hand towel and shower towel per person per stay up to 7 nights will be provided. If more are required, there will be a charge of 10 euros per set.

* Baby crib available on request, the price is €15 for the entire stay





No smoking in the apartment. In case of smoking, we will charge €100 as penalty.



Of course, we provide linen and towels, and other things such as an iron, hairdryer, bathroom products, maps, and basic ingredients for the kitchen.

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Madrid! The location was excellent and made it easy to walk everywhere. The apartment was very quiet, which was amazing after busy days exploring the city. The AC worked great, the shower had excellent hot water, there was a good hair dryer, and the apartment comfortably fit the 3 of us.We didn’t end up using the kitchen much, but it was very well stocked with everything you would need, including a microwave, kettle, fridge, and washer. We also loved the electronic key locks — so convenient when traveling. The WiFi was easy to access, and the semi-blackout blinds on the windows were a very nice touch for sleeping in a little after late nights in Madrid. We also appreciated the city map with recommendations provided in the apartment — such a thoughtful extra.The hostess was very responsive throughout our stay.The only small negative for us were the pillows, which weren’t the most comfortable, but overall we had a great experience!

An Excellent Stay

Location of the property could not be better - close to everything, yet on a quiet and private street. A modern apartment tastefully hidden inside an old building that had everything you needed for one or a couple. The apartment was impeccably clean and bright, and had a very comfortable bed with plush pillows. The technically challenged may find the cell phone app access intimidating, but clear instructions are provided by the owner, and a manual key is provided as a backup. Another thoughtful touch was the extra European electrical adaptors that were provided within the apartment. Enjoyed everything and hope to stay again.

Tyranny of Apps sans human contact

The apartment was reasonable, clean, enough space for two people and centrally located. The biggest problem was getting access to it. We are both elderly but fit and used to travelling a great deal. However, being forced to use Apps for every aspect of entry was a nightmare for us. There was no voice contact even on the phone with anyone possible. We forced the communication through texts. We had difficulty with the apps initially and the person finally agreed to meet us there but did not wait 10 minutes as our taxi was held up in traffic and we had communicated that. When we got there, there was no way to know which way to go inside the building. We finally figured it out after a great deal of difficulty and stress. It is as if the owner or the manager was doing us a favour by letting us rent the apartment. Not a good experience for people like us. You need to be an IT expert!
