BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT WITH POOL OWN TERRACE & STUNNING VIEWS OF MT TEIDE & SEA

Built on the side of a ravine with amazing uninterrupted views of the coast and Mount Teide, this tranquil setting offers the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The apartment has its own private garden and terrace with stunning views and has just been completely renovated with a new kitchen which has new saucepans, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils so you can make yourself completely at home and cook your favourite dishes. The fully tiled bathroom is also new with towels provided, and there is a comfy sofa bed for a 3rd adult or child.
There is a separate terrace which has a natural stone pool, shower and WC. Along side the pool is a wood burning pizza oven, separate barbeque and kitchen where you can relax and share the facilities with other guests. There are beautiful gardens with flowers and fountains, and the apartment overlooks our own vineyard and neighboring banana plantation.

There are 2 other apartments LA FUENTE property 8927243, and Los Cernicolas property 10356681 at the same location so that friends and families can enjoy a holiday and the shared facilities together.

We are a 10 minute walk to shops bars and restaurants and the TF5 where buses can be caught for Puerto, Icod, Garachico, San Marcos, Santa Cruz, Los Cristianos, and Playa de las Américas.

The local attractions include Punta de Juan Centellas at the end of the road where there is a natural pool and the locals fish. San Marcos is 3.8 miles away with its beach and small harbour with bars and restaurants serving locally caught fish. Charco del Viento is 4.3 miles away with it's natural pools for swimming and fishing it's a place of natural beauty. Cueva del Viento has the longest vulcanic lava trunnels in Europe and is a place of scientific interest 8 miles away.

Nice apartment, great terrace

We had a pleasant stay here. The apartment was equipped, we only missed the hair dryer. The hosts were kind and helpful. The weather seemed more cloudy during our stay than it was in the west coast.

The two hosts were very friendly and helpful. The flat was very well furnished. The location private and quiet. We were there without a car, which wasn't a problem as there was a shop a quarter of an hour away and a well frequented bus stop. However, the house is on a steep slope. You should therefore be reasonably fit. A few minutes down the slope there are impressive cliffs and the wild surf of the Atlantic to marvel at. Absolutely Lovely!

I'm not sure which was more lovely... the charming and fully equipped apartment itself... the idyllic vineyard setting with the ocean view and ocean breeze... or the hosts who make it all so welcoming, friendly, and memorable. Contrary to a previous review, I found this to be an excellent location without a car. There's one steep hill, but then you have super easy access to an excellent Tenerife public transportation system that can get you anywhere you could want or need to go. . Easy peasy! All in all, this review could be one word long. Paradise!

This is a beautiful property just as described in a quiet area of the island. We really liked it. It is just as described and the communication was prompt and helpful. It was a perfect peaceful base. A car is required for this stay. We advise not clicking on the address as we ended up at another number 18 some 4 miles adrift!! Follow the sings for Lidl and the Hospital. It’s an unusual junction with Lidl on the right Hospital on the left, carry straight on and just before the 60 mph sign there is a right hand turn that takes you to the property. Thank you for a great stay.

A wonderful week in a beautiful place

Linda and Vicente's apartment is an absolute delight. The photographs are very accurate. It is bright, very clean and beautifully furnished with a great eye for detail, quality equipment and very comfortable bed and sofa.The apartment was so welcoming at the end of a long day's travelling with fridge and cupboards well stocked with all the essentials to get started as well as treats of wine ,cheese and fruit.It is wonderfully light with fine views. These get even better from the very private terrace where you can sunbathe and gaze out to sea and across the baranco over the small scale working agricultural landscape of bannanas, grape vines etc.Linda gave us a tour of their land and it was amazing to see how much they have achieved in 5 years transforming essentially neglected wasteland into a thriving and productive "Garden of Eden", I even picked my first ever HUGE avocado! The terraced gardens around the apartment are beautifully planted with a wide range of subtropical plants,there are fountains and mosaics etc and everything is so well kept and clean and tidy .The plunge pool and barbeque area , complete with bread oven, kitchen and loo is fantastic too. We had the place to ourselves as the other 2 apartments were not quite finished but this will be a lovely area to socialise in in future.It was a bit too cool for the pool but we had a great evening around the barbeque watching the twinkling lights of boats at sea. Linda and Vicente were the perfect hosts, friendly, helpful and informative as well as sensitive to and respectful of their guests' privacy. We really enjoyed ourselves and hope very much to return and to continue to explore the lovely landscape of North Tenerife. You deserve every success Linda and Vicente, best wishes, Jill and Ian

A perfect place to relax and unwind

We were met at the airport by Vicente - not the owner, but another Vicente who manages the finca in the owners absence. He doesn't speak much English but we managed to get by with our limited Spanish, his limited English, Google translate and sign language! and a lot of laughter! After about 50 minutes we arrived at the apartment and it was immaculate, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We were the first guests to stay in it and everything is new. The kitchen has everything you need including a good range of food in the cupboard and a nice welcome hamper. Comfortable furniture and bed with quality bed linen and towels provided. It has its own terrace which is very private and sunny where we had breakfast each morning taking in the wonderful views of the sea and Teide. The pool terrace is amazing with it's barbeque and pizza oven, which Vicente showed us how to use. We had some lovely afternoons chilling by the pool with local wine and using the BBQ in the evening. It's amazing here at night when everything is lit up, and we had clear skies which were filled with stars, the photos really can't do it justice. This place is unique, so different to anywhere else we've stayed. The gardens are beautiful with their fountains, and the mosaics of Mount Teide outside our apartment, and the giant lizard on another terrace. It's quite bohemian and very relaxed, with a feeling of freedom. Vicente was very pleased to show us around the vineyard and fruit trees on the lower terraces and he was always in the background and willing to assist if we needed anything, without being intrusive. We got by without a car, we were only there for 5 days. There is a selection of local restaurants at the top of the road - a very steep climb going, but much easier coming back. There is a good selection of shops at La Mancha a 15 to 20 minute walk with a very good Hyperdino where you can get a good supply of groceries, and we got a cab back. There are buses at the top of the road that go to all the main towns and places of interest, so you don't need a car, but if you like to explore a car would be a good idea. We can't wait to return, but for 2 weeks next time so we have more time to explore the local places of interest, and hopefully one of the other 2 apartments will be ready so we can bring our friends with us.

Apartment mit toller Aussicht

Wir haben besonders die Aussicht aus den Fenstern und von der Terrasse genossen: Über das Meer, die Klippen, Bananenplantagen und die Berge (inklusive Teide). Es ist ein wunderbar ruhiger Ort zum Entspannen, ein bisschen abseits der üblichen touristischen Hotspots.Alles war wie beschrieben. Das Apartment war mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchten, inklusive einer Heizung für kühlere Stunden. Linda und Vicente sind freundliche, zuvorkommende Hosts. Empfehlung!

Le logement idéal !

Nous ne pouvions espérer mieux. L’appartement est très agréable, niché dans un jardin, avec sa propre terrasse et une terrasse partagée avec une petite piscine. Owned by Vicente and Linda. Vicente was born on the island in Los Realejos and spent his childhood playing in the barranco and on the banana plantations. Having lived 44 years in the UK we wanted to buy somewhere in Tenerife North that offered the same space and freedom from his childhood memories. Las Gaviotas offered just that with it's idyllic location, and although it was completely derelict when we first saw it, we realised the amazing opportunity to achieve our goal and have spent the past 4 years completely renovating and lovingly restoring some of the beautiful features we found when we first viewed the property.

Why they chose this property

Finca Las Gaviotas has just finished a complete renovation and offers a high standard accommodation with outstanding views and an amazing pool terrace with it's own pizza oven oven, BBQ and bar where you can relax and unwind with uninterrupted views of the sea and Mount Teide. Each apartment has it's own private terrace and garden and there is a beautiful garden with fountain and established plants where you can relax and listen to the birds. The finca sits on the side of a ravine along a narrow camino leading to the sea. Camino la Punta was originally a fishing community with mainly locals living here, and still fishing is popular at the end of the road. The finca is just under 10,000 square metres and is surrounded by vineyards, banana plantations and barranco which offers natural habitat for indigenous plants and birds. We have many trees including bananas, avocados, oranges, lemons, limes, mangoes, papayas, and of course our own vines. We are in the Ycoden Daute Isora wine region which is famous for its white wines, and we grow Listan Blanco and Listan Negro grapes for winemaking.
We are only a 10 minute walk from the main TF5 where buses can be caught for Puerto, Icod, Garachico, Santa Cruz, La Laguna, and the south, and it makes a good base if you are driving and wanting to tour the north of the island.
